Maxroll Destiny 2 Branch Update: Revenant
Welcome Guardians, we at Maxroll are here to reveal our Branch's update for Destiny 2's second Episode: Revenant. This major release is shaking up the sandbox with major changes to many pieces of Exotic Armor and Weapons, as well as a Stasis themed Artifact. We're making sure that all of our Build Guides are getting updated to work with this new Artifact, and we've got plenty more done than just that:
Here's a word from the Maxroll Destiny 2 Branch Team Leader, Byrdman:
“Hey Guardians! The Maxroll Destiny 2 team and I are extremely stoked for Episode 2: Revenant just like all of you. This episode is an exciting time for builds with the new sandbox changes and adjustments to ones we currently have. Expect a few new Stasis builds to take advantage of the new artifact and exotics added in. In addition we’ll be getting godrolls for all the new weapons on the site plus working our way through previous seasons. This will give you an idea of what rolls to craft and attune for when running the new activities. Personally I just want to say thank you to everyone for their support with the launch of this new branch! The team and I have been working hard to get the best builds and resources your way to make Destiny 2 an easier time no matter what experience you have. Build Guides
Maxroll is committed to updating every single Build Guide to feature Revenant's Seasonal Artifact, we expect this to be done shortly after the Episode's release. This is going to cause some minor Gear or Subclass-kit changes revolving around the Artifact for some Builds, increasing their effectiveness.
We're adding new Variants to some Builds, while others are getting completely overhauled. We felt that some of our offerings weren't working as well as we'd have liked, so we're correcting our mistakes and delivering you all a suite of significantly stronger Builds. We hope you'll enjoy them as much as we've enjoyed making them. More of these are to come!

Tier List Updates
If you want to know which build is the best of the best, check out our Tier List section! Here, we rank all the Build Guides currently on Maxroll based off their strengths and overall ease of use. We're updating it within the next week to reflect Revenant's new sandbox and all of our Build Guide updates.
- The Raid and Dungeon Tier List Defines a build's overall end game performance in Raids and Dungeons. The main criteria are Super Ability damage potential, fireteam support, and ad clear potential. Solo-Dungeon-Capability is NOT considered.
- The Support Build Tier List defines a build's level of support while in a Fireteam for all activities in Destiny 2. The main criteria are team synergy and utility provided.
- The Survivability Tier List defines a build's level of survivability for all activities in Destiny 2. The main criteria are the build's level of self healing and damage resistance offered.
- The Boss Damage Tier List Defines a build's end game boss damage performance in activities such as Raids, Dungeons and Grandmaster Nightfalls. The main criteria is damage potential from Super abilities and Weapons.
- The Ad Clear Tier List defines a build's ad clear potential for all activities in Destiny 2. The main criteria are chosen weapons, crowd control capabilities and ability uptime.
Getting Started & Resource Guide Updates
Destiny 2 is a highly complex game with many moving parts, it can be hard to really understand what's going on with any one of the game's many systems. With that in mind, it's important for us to make sure that our Getting Started and Resource Guides are helpful and easy to use. Some of them haven't been, and we've been working tirelessly to overhaul many of these Guides. Even more updates are to come later!
