The Final Shape

Severance Enclosure Solar Titan has been given a multitude of exotics that are non-elemental dependent and extremely strong, but none compare to the Severance Enclosure. This setup is based around this exotic chest piece and takes advantage of high explosives and healing on Solar. Using your Throwing Hammer you can consistently keep up these large explosions. Sunspots litter the battlefield to scorch targets while keeping up your restoration effects as well. Finally, roaring flames boost your Solar damage ensuring that your hammer one-shots most red bar enemies.

The backbone of this build is the exotic chest piece, Severance Enclosure. Final blows with your powered melee creates a massive explosion that l chain between defeated enemies. This isn’t an infinite loop of explosions, but is still a powerful blast. This also happens after you use your finisher and is  more potent depending on the level of the enemy.

Pros
  • Great enemy clear
  • Multiple weapon options
  • Non-stop scorch and explosions
  • Consistent restoration and radiant effects
Cons
  • Hammer dependant
  • No benefits to super damage
  • Higher-tier targets still harder to take out

Gameplay Loop

Just like any other Throwing Hammer setup, Severance Enclosure Solar Titan has very simple gameplay loop: bonk everything in sight. This combined with Severance Enclosure allows you to get these large explosives off from a distance and consistently. Getting your hammer back instantly is a big part of this build so losing it slows you down immensely. For that we recommend the One-Two Finisher so you can always have that available.

Now you don’t only have to hit targets to get his large explosive effect. Finishers do the job as well and can sometimes be more consistent. Attempt to use finishers on all champions and higher tier enemies for the largest explosive effect.

Ability Breakdown

Super

  • Burning Maul
    • This is a great pick for most Solar builds on Titan for it's big boss damage and shorter cooldown. Hammer of Sol is a fun one if you're looking for more distance on your super, but maul just provides the basics needed for what a super should be.

Abilities

  • Rally Barricade, Very good for it's short cooldown and the ability to boost your basic weapon stats.
  • Strafe Lift, Jump of your choice.
  • Throwing Hammer, This is a must for Severance Enclosure for it's great distance, quick recharge, and ability to Cure on pickup.
  • Healing Grenade, A grenade that cures allies on impact and creates an Orb of benevolent Solar Light, granting restoration to allies when picked up.

Aspects

  • Sol Invictus, A perfect aspect for many reasons. First it creates sunspots on final blows that become a Scorch trap for enemies. Also whenever the player runs through or stands in them you activate Restoration for healing. Finally you abilities regenerate faster when standing in them.
  • Roaring Flames, Awesome for increasing the damage of your Throwing Hammer!

Fragments

  • Ember of Torches, You should consistently have Radiant active with this since your hammer is your main damage tool.
  • Ember of Empyrean, Hammer should keep this going consistently.
  • Ember of Solace, This is nice to increase time on your buffs in case you aren't able to bonk the enemy immediately to dust.
  • Ember of Singeing, Having fast access to your class ability is nice when you're always scorching targets.

Gearing

Required Gear and Weapons

Severance Enclosure

How to acquire:

  • Purchase from Xur (his loot rotates weekly).
  • Decrypting exotic engrams at Rahool (it will be a random exotic drop, but will prioritize exotics you currently do not have, known as the knockout system).
  • Farm the expert lost sector on chest Armor days.
  • Note: this exotic is not locked behind a DLC.

Stat Priorities

  • Resilience > Discipline > Recovery.
  • Resilience is the amount of damage you can take before dying, as well as your shield capacity.
  • Discipline is what reduces your grenade cooldown.
  • Recovery is how long it takes for your health to regenerate after you take damage.

Artifact Mods

Severance Enclosure Solar Titan does not require any artifact mods from season 23.

Recommend Weapons

  • Kinetic Weapon: The Call - Rocket sidearms are incredibly meta right now so a great choice. You can go double special with this build because of Solar Titans high melee damage uptime.
  • Energy Weapon: IKELOS_SG_v1.0.3 - Great for stripping Barrier shields while Radiant.
  • Power Weapon: Tractor Cannon - Great for stunning Overload champs and in general weakening mobs.

Variants

No variants for this setup because of it's niche mechanics.

Summary

Paired with the throwing hammer for easy healing, Severance Enclosure Solar Titan allows you to create a massive explosion to clear swarms of enemies. And if you ever end up losing the throwing hammer, you have the ability to regain it easily with the One-Two Finisher. Champions and high-tier enemies in general are in for  a tough time dealing with a Sunbreaker Titan such as this one!
