Welcome to the Osmiomancy/Verity's Prismatic Warlock Build guide! This build utilizes the Exotic Solipsism with the combination of Spirit of Osmiomancy and Spirit of Verity traits.
When paired with the Aspect Feed the Void, any ability kill procs Devour along with our Exotic weapon, Buried Bloodline. This results in rapid regen of Vortex Grenades while also boosting its damage with Spirit of Verity. The constant damage output and ad clear provided by this synergy is useful in any piece of content.
When the enemies are tanky enough, a Vortex Grenade can almost always be on the field. This combined with the survivability from having Devour, ends up with one of the most powerful builds for Prismatic Warlock. This is extremely noticeable in high end content such as Grandmaster Nightfalls where every enemy has a lot of health.
WARNING: The Prismatic subclass and Solipsism require the Final Shape DLC to unlock. Buried Bloodline requires the Lightfall to obtain.

Gameplay Loop
The key to starting the gameplay loop with this build is to get kills with the Buried Bloodline to stack Spirit of Verity up to 5 times. After several kills with Buried Bloodline or defeating a target with an ability, Devour is granted. This is where the survivability shines with rapid regen of Vortex Grenades.
The concept to keep in mind while throwing Vortex Grenades is to focus on hitting enemies with more health, Majors and Bosses. This lets Spirit of Osmiomancy grant you its full benefit. Throw the grenade at the boss then defeat smaller enemies around with weapons to guarantee there is another Vortex Grenade ready to be thrown when the previous grenade runs out.
To achieve maximum damage output for Vortex Grenades, while Devour is active hit the enemy with Buried Bloodline Catalyst to weaken them, which combines with the artifact mod Expanding Abyss to increase Void damage, then hit the enemy with an Arcane Needle melee to inflict a Darkness Debuff for Facet of Courage while also granting Radiant for Shieldcrush.
Ability Breakdown
Super
- Nova Bomb: Cataclysm
- Hurl an explosive bolt of Void Light at a target, disintegrating those caught within the blast. Nova Bomb travels slowly and seeks targets. Detonations shatter into smaller seeker projectiles. This is an extremely strong burst damage option with Expanding Abyss while also allowing for Overshields with Facet of Purpose.
Abilities
- Healing Rift - Heals user and fireteam members while standing inside the radius.
- Burst Glide - Your jump ability is up to you, but the example setup uses Burst Glide.
- Arcane Needle - This melee ability gives you three charges. Used as a way to activate Devour and apply Unravel to enemy targets.
- Vortex Grenade - Throws an explosive that detonates and pulls enemies in to continually damage any caught inside. This portion is what pairs with Spirit of Osmiomancy so well, especially on large targets that can withstand an entire Vortex Grenade damage field.
Aspects
- Feed the Void - Getting a kill with any of your available abilities activates Devour. This aspect increases the amount of health and grenade energy received on kill while Devour is active. Drastically increasing the uptime of Vortex Grenades.
- Hellion - Activate your class ability to summon a Solar mortar that lobs flaming projectiles at distant targets. Targets damaged by the mortar are Scorched. Can eventually lead to an Ignition after being repeatedly hit by the mortar.
Fragments
- Facet of Protection - Provides bonus damage reduction when surrounded by combatants. Greatly increases survivability of this build.
- Facet of Courage - Grants a 10% damage buff for Light Abilities to enemies affected by Darkness Debuffs. The prominent debuff in this build's case being Unravel.
- Facet of Bravery - Defeating a target with a grenade grants Volatile Rounds to Void weapons. Free DPS increase with Buried Bloodline and Edge Transit.
- Facet of Purpose - Collecting an Orb of Power grants you Overshield for extra survivability.
- Facet of Dawn - Grants Radiant when hitting an enemy with a powered melee. This allows for the conditions for Facet of Courage and Shieldcrush to be achieved in one button press.
Gearing
Required Gear
Solipsism with Spirit of Osmiomancy and Spirit of Verity is required for this build. These give the build its grenade uptime and damage.
How to acquire:
- Dual Destiny Exotic Mission.
- Open any chest within the Pale Heart.
- Cooperative Focus Missions
WARNING: The The Final Shape is required to unlock the Solipsism Exotic Class Item.
Stat Priorities
- Resilience > Recovery > Discipline
- Resilience is always the most coveted stat when in a PVE environment. Increases your damage resistance and shield capacity. The goal is 100 Resilience.
- Recovery governs the cooldown on the Warlocks class ability and decreases the time it takes to regenerate your health and shields.
- Discipline decreases the cooldown on your grenade ability, allowing it to charge faster.

Armor Mods
- Helmet
- Heavy Ammo Finder - Increases the drop chance of Heavy ammo on kill.
- Special Ammo Finder - Increases the drop chance of Special ammo on kill. Important with double special weapons.
- Harmonic Siphon - Rapid final blows with weapons with a damage type matching the equipped super spawns an Orb of Power.
- Gauntlets
- Harmonic Loader - Increases the reload speed of Void weapons.
- Momentum Transfer - Grants grenade ability energy upon dealing melee ability damage.
- Impact Induction - Grants melee ability energy upon dealing grenade ability damage.
- Chest
- Resist/Reserve mods of your choice - Choose for the activity you are going into!
- Leg
- Void Scavenger - Increases the amount of ammo gain when picking up ammo drops for Void weapons.
- Void Weapon Surge x2 - Your Void weapons gain a small bonus to damage while you have any armor charge. Your armor charges now decay over time.
- Bond
- Bomber - Reduces grenade cooldown when using your class ability.
- Time Dilation - Your decaying armor charges have a longer duration.
- Powerful Attraction - Using your class ability automatically collects nearby Orbs of Power.

Artifact Mods
- Shieldcrush - While you have Woven Mail, Frost Armor, or a Void Overshield, your melee recharges faster and deals increased damage. While you are amplified or radiant, your grenade recharges faster and deals increased damage.
- Expanding Abyss - Void sources deal increased damage to weakened targets. Shoot Buried Bloodline with its Catalyst while Devour is active to easily benefit from this mod.
- Unstoppable Sidearm - Grants Unstoppable Champion stunning capabilities to Buried Bloodline for coverage in endgame activities.
Recommended Weapons
- Kinetic Weapon: The Supremacy - This weapon with Rewind Rounds and Kinetic Tremors offers a grant swap damage option. Swap to this weapon, hit an enemy twice to proc Kinetic Tremors, then swap back to main or heavy weapon.
- Energy Weapon: Buried Bloodline - This weapon is the key to always having Devour active while also applying Weaken for Expanding Abyss.
- Power Weapon: Edge Transit - This weapon with Envious Assassin and Bait and Switch is already a top tier DPS option, then combined with Expanding Abyss, it quickly leads the pack in DPS output.
Variants
Alternate Weapon Options
- Swap The Supremacy for The Mountaintop.
- Auto-Loading Holster & either Recombination or Vorpal Weapon would be the best roll.
- Swap Edge Transit for The Slammer (Adept).
- Eager Edge & Cold Steel is the best perk combination.
- This combo allows for speedy traversal while still offering a solid damage option for close range targets. Cold Steel allows for the stunning of both Overload and Unstoppable Champions.
Summary
In the Final Shape, Osmiomancy/Verity Prismatic Warlock is a top tier ability spam build option. There are plenty of pairings of exotic class item combinations, but this particular one offers so much versatility and damage output. The best part being is that it thrives in high tier content where combatants have more health.
