Soulfist PvP Build Guide

Introduction

The Soulfist is a unique mid-range fighter class that relies on high burst windows and mobility. She has an energy system unlike the traditional mana resource in the game called Hype. Once your energy is depleted, you cannot perform any additional skills until it's recharged.

In PvP, the Soulfist relies on mid-range skill shots and their Hype windows. There are three stages of Hype that grant increasing stats and energy restoration. Knowing when to abuse these windows will allow you to excel.

This article assumes you have a Character with a minimum level of 26 before transitioning to it. Check out the Soulfist Leveling and 1-50 Leveling guides to reach Level 26.

Check out the General PvP Guide for a better understanding of the arena systems in place.

Core Skills

  • Magnetic Palm is a great protection skill that has Push Immunity and damage reduction.
  • Deadly Finger is a great damage skill that juggles opponents. Use it whenever you catch someone.
  • Heavenly Squash is a good mid-range skill damage skill.
  • Flash Step is your main engage and mobility skill. Use the triple dash to catch opponents and launch skills.
  • Tempest Blast is your mid-range crowd control skill.
  • Force Orb is a highly damaging skill if you hit all three orbs, which requires you to be in melee range of your opponent.
  • Energy Release is your main team buffing skill. Use it before engagements or when a teammate needs it.
  • Crippling Barrier is a nice Push Immunity skill if you need quick protection.
  • Annihilating Ray is your main Awakening skill. Holding down the skill allows you to increase the duration.
  • Every level of Hype up to three can be used as a full Immunity transform. Knowing when to use it and timing it correctly separates the good Soulfists from the bad ones. Generally you want to change Hype levels when you are about to engage, need energy, or need the Immunity. It also grants you Cooldown Reduction, so don't be afraid to engage again with your skills up.
