Sorceress PvP Build Guide

Introduction

The Sorceress is your traditional mage class introduced recently into Lost Ark specializing in ranged combat. This class has a good skill ceiling, but can be easy to pick up as well. She has many flexible combo options and can potentially take over a battle with her mobility and low Cooldowns.

This class ranks decently high on the overall PvP tier list for Team Deathmatch (3v3). Although her damage is above average, most of it is tied with hitting skill shots. She is vulnerable when there isn't enough Identity Gauge for teleports. On top of that, she can be susceptible to aggressive enemies with heavy Push Immunity. The meta build for this class has zero Push Immunity skills, so be cautious.

This article assumes you have a Character with a minimum level of 26 before transitioning to it. Check out the Sorceress Leveling and 1-50 Leveling guides to reach Level 26.

Check out the General PvP Guide for a better understanding of the arena systems in place.

Core Skills

  • Lightning Vortex and Frost's Call are the main catch and peeling tools.
  • Squall is your main Hard Crowd Control skill.
  • Inferno is a great Knock Up skill that can be used offensively or defensively.
  • Punishing Strike is your main high damage skill. You can use it after a catch from Squall, Lightning Vortex or Reverse gravity.
  • Esoteric Reaction is your second damage skill. When using it with Reverse gravity, aim it below them.
  • Seraphic Hail is one of your main defensive skills. It needs to be casted preemptively to stop advancing opponents.
  • Reverse gravity is your second defensive skill. Lifting opponents allows you to combo into any damaging skill.
  • Enviska's Might is your main Awakening skill that can be used defensively or offensively.

Combat Stats

750 Swiftness, 1 Critical and 249 Domination

Reverse Gravity

Ice Shower

Alternatives

  • Seraphic Hail can be used with Wide-Angle Attack or Additional Explosion.
  • Ice Shower can be used to replace Squall in the Reverse Gravity build.

Basic Combo #1

  1. Engage with Frost's Call.
  2. Follow with Lightning Vortex.
  3. Finish with Punishing Strike or Esoteric Reaction. (Note: you can fit in both finishers if you angle Reactor correctly.)

Basic Combo #2

  1. Catch with Reverse gravity.
  2. Finish with Esoteric Reaction, Punishing Strike or Seraphic Hail. (Note you can also fit in Esoteric Reaction and Punishing Strike if positioned properly).

Gameplay

  • The Sorceress revolves around good positioning and long range skills. Try to stay close to your teammates early on in the battle as you can struggle without Blink.
  • When using Seraphic Hail or Reverse gravity, be ready to Phase Leap or Blink to counter a Push Immunity engage.
  • Although you have relatively low Cooldowns, be wary of your mana.
  • Look for engage opportunities with Frost's Call and Lightning Vortex. Be patient with your skills. Leave heavy engagements to your teammates and support them.
  • Don't be afraid to use Enviska's Might early on if you need to gain Identity Gauge for Blink.
  • Use Blink towards the left and right of your screen to abuse Field of Vison (FoV).

Combat Stats

750 Swiftness, 1 Critical and 249 Domination

2 Push Immunity

Lightning Vortex Catch

Alternatives

  • Seraphic Hail can be used with Wide-Angle Attack or Evolved Hail.

Gameplay

  • The 2 Push Immunity focuses on the same principles of gameplay as the 3v3 build, but with more built in Knock Down protection with Ice Shower and Rime Arrow. Be careful of Hard CCs with this build as it does not protect against them. Blink is a great skill to counter Hard CCs.
  • The Lightning Vortex Catch build focuses on you guessed it, Lightning Vortex. People won't expect Overheat so use that to your advantage by pressuring with your ranged catch skills.
Heavy Armor
Precise Dagger
Hit Master
Keen Blunt Weapon
Reflux
Crisis Evasion

Gameplay

GvG is more chaotic than Arena battles, so you rarely have the opportunity to do long combos. This mode is more about zoning/interrupting objectives and assisting allies. Do your best to coordinate with your team and stick together. Refer to 3v3 section for more gameplay tips.

Summary

  • Stick with your team and focus on keeping each other safe from opponents.
  • Be patient, mana can be an issue with this class with its low Cooldowns.
  • The Sorceress is a flexible class. Many skills can chain into each other for a lot of combo potential.
  • Abuse FoV (Field of Vision) by teleporting and keeping your opponents horizontally from you.
