Last Updated:March 9, 2025|Changelog
Welcome to the Brawl King Storm Breaker Build Guide! This build revolves around fully expending your Shock gauge with each strike, delivering earth-shattering blows and decimating your enemies.
Brawl King Storm Breaker can inflict reliable amounts of Stagger and Destruction, and his Counter is often available.
- If you want a more robust playstyle that allows you to face enemies head-on, check out our Asura's Path guide.

Builds

Ark Passive
Skills Setup
- Eye of the Storm, Celestial Force Barrage, and Falling Blossoms (Z) are your main damage skills.
- Falling Star is a secondary damage skill, as well as a Shock gauge generator.
- Yeon Galestorm Strike, Hundred Fists, and Adamantine Assault are your main meter generation skills.
- Brawl King's Advance is mainly used to generate Shock gauge.
- Crater Strike is your Synergy (Damage Amplification) and Counter skill.
- Celestial Door is your Awakening. It is preferred thanks to its significantly higher damage. Even though Butterfly Sting fills your meter entirely when used, you wouldn't benefit from it as your Shock skills would still be on cooldown from your previous burst.
Alternative Skill, Tripod, and Rune Options
Eye of the Storm
- Swift Fingers - Increases damage potential and cast speed, but you are now required to use the skill as a Front Attack.
Crater Strike
- Purify - Allows you to cleanse your debuffs.
Adamantine Assault
- Wealth - Use this if you don't have access to a second Wealth.
Brawl King's Advance
- Excellent Mobility - Provides mobility in exchange for meter gain. This forces you to use Hundred Fists for almost the entire duration, and you need to have some leftover Shock Gauge from a previous cycle (this happens naturally when you exit Brawl King Stance with Brawl King Twelve Forms: Violent Waves before the stance duration runs out).
Ark Passive
Skills Setup
- Earthbreaker and Zaffre Nova are your main ways to deal with large packs of enemies.
- Celestial Force Barrage and Eye of the Storm can both deal with Elite monsters on their own.
- Eye of the Storm is your primary way of dealing with Boss type monsters.
- Brawl King's Advance serves as a quick mobility option.
- Falling Star, Flashstep, and Adamantine Assault are all used to generate Shock gauge.
- Butterfly Sting is your Awakening. It is preferred over Celestial Door thanks to its significantly faster animation.
Recommended Engravings
- Preemptive Strike
- Contender
- Raid Captain
- Cursed Doll
- Magick Stream
This build is optimized and meant to be used only in Kurzan Front. For Ebony Cube please use a Raid build.
Identity & Gameplay
Brawl King Storm Breaker uses Stamina skills to generate Shock gauge, expending it entirely to deliver powerful blows with each Shock skill used. Additionally, once your Tenacious Power is full, you can enter Brawl King Stance (Z), gaining increased stats and access to a powerful new skill.
Your Stamina skills consume Stamina gauge and generate Shock gauge, while your Shock skills consume Shock gauge and generate Stamina gauge. However, this build has Shock skills utilizing the Limit Break tripod, consuming all available Shock gauge when used.
Your Spacebar's cooldown is reset and your Synergy is applied upon entering Brawl King Stance, and while in it, you passively generate Shock gauge.
Additionally, you gain access to Falling Blossoms (Z), which has effects similar to the Limit Break tripod:
- Consumes all available Shock gauge
- +4% Damage per Shock point consumed
- +15% Crit Rate
- +80% Damage
- Is treated as a Shock skill
Breaker Identity

Tenacious Power
Once you enter Brawl King Stance, every third basic attack becomes enhanced, lowering the remaining cooldown of your normal skills by 5%. However, after using a Stamina skill, the next basic attack becomes enhanced regardless of whether you performed any other basic attacks before it. This allows you to weave the CDR effect between your skills to significantly hasten your rotation. Enhanced basic attacks must hit a target for the effect to take place.
Rotation
Meter Generation
- Using skills in this specific order is recommended to minimize the time it takes to fill your meter, as well as ensuring you have enough Shock gauge when that happens.
- If you happen to miss skills during the build-up phase, you can use Celestial Force Barrage to recover, or just wait for Adamantine Assault to come up again.
Burst Rotation Pre-Violent Waves
[...]
- Each Shock skill should benefit from a full Shock gauge when used.
- Eye of the Storm and Celestial Force Barrage should already have Shock gauge from the meter building phase and Brawl King Acuity.
- Falling Blossoms fills your Shock gauge as they charge, so it can be used without having to fill it yourself.
- During Brawl King Stance, make sure to weave in basic attacks after each Stamina skill in order to lower the cooldown of your skills. After your "burst" cycle is complete, use short-cd Stamina skills to keep lowering cooldowns for the next cycle.
- Try your best to maintain your Synergy using Crater Strike, even if you aren't planning to attack immediately after.
Burst Rotation Post-Violent Waves
You want to cycle across three different combos (assuming no downtime), due to limitations in cooldowns and amount of Shock generated. Depending on the fight, boss phasing, etc. you should adapt them if enough donwtime (to rebuild gauge and get cooldowns back) follows.

2)
3)
- Each Shock skill should benefit from a full Shock gauge when used.
- Eye of the Storm and Celestial Force Barrage should already have Shock gauge from the meter building phase and Brawl King Acuity.
- Falling Blossoms and Violent Waves fill your Shock gauge as they charge, so they can be used without having to fill it yourself.
- During Brawl King Stance, make sure to weave in basic attacks after each Stamina skill in order to lower the cooldown of your skills.
- Violent Waves ends Brawl King Stance.
- Try your best to maintain your Synergy using Crater Strike, even if you aren't planning to attack immediately after.
Gems
Gems are another significant aspect of your build, as they directly impact the damage and cooldowns of your skills. You can equip up to 11 gems at a time. Here are the ones you should focus on to maximize this build's potential, listed according to their priority.
Damage Gems
Brawl King Twelve Forms
- Eye of the Storm
- Celestial Force Barrage
- Falling Star
Cooldown Gems
- Eye of the Storm
- Brawl King's Advance
- Celestial Force Barrage
- Crater Strike
- Adamantine Assault
- Yeon Galestorm Strike*
- Hundred Fists
Prior to unlocking Violent Waves, you should use a Falling Star CD gem instead of Yeon Galestorm Strike.
If you are using a Level 10 Annihilation Gem (T3) on Falling Blossoms or Eye of the Storm, do not convert them to Tier 4, as it would result in a damage loss. They should be replaced with a Lv. 9 Doomfire Gem (T4) (or higher) eventually.
Engravings
Engravings are a core part of your build. You can equip up to five at a time, freely swapping between them.
Engravings are listed in order of importance.
Recommended Setup
- Grudge
- Adrenaline
- Keen Blunt Weapon
- Cursed Doll
- Hit Master
Alternative Setup
- Grudge
- Adrenaline
- Keen Blunt Weapon
- Cursed Doll
- Super Charge
Engravings Information
- Hit Master doesn't affect a portion of your damage, and forces you to take Challenger in Eye of the Storm, but provides more raw damage than Super Charge.
- Super Charge only affects ~70% of your damage (even less the higher your Shock Explosion is), so it's worth less damage, but provides faster charge Speed for Eye of the Storm, Violent Waves and Falling Blossoms.
- Stabilized Status is also an option, affecting most of your damage but forcing you to be above 65% HP.
Tripods
Tripods affect your skills directly by providing utility, damage, cooldown reduction or gauge generation. You should level up these first:
- Yeon Galestorm Strike: Fighting Spirit
- Adamantine Assault: Indomitable Fighting Spirit
- Falling Star: Focus
- Eye of the Storm: Limit Break, Sweet Spot
- Celestial Force Barrage: Limit Break, Hyperfocus
Bracelet
Bracelets provide beneficial effects to yourself or to your party members depending on the rolls they have.
The primary goal is to get the main stats used by your build. After that, you should be aiming for Special Rolls to get more damage. Here are the effects you should look out for, in no particular order:
