Haedrig’s Gift GR20 Season 33 Guide
Last Updated:September 26, 2024|Changelog
Introduction
The Haedrig's Gift is a fast track to getting your first full (6) Pieces Set during the start of a season. Completing Chapters 2 through 4 of the Season Journey rewards you with one bag containing two set items for your class each. The first chapters are very easy, but in Chapter 4 you are required to complete a Solo Greater Rift 20 in order to unlock the last pieces, which will give you a huge boost to your progression and clear speed. This overview helps you to get started as fast as possible.
These setups use the minimum requirements to clear GR20, which is usually just 4 pieces of the set and random yellow items. In some cases legendary items are added (which you very likely have from gambling/cubing at level 1 or found along the way) to make the setup stronger because the first bonuses of some sets don't provide enough power for easy completion.
Some of these sets are quite bad without their (6) Bonus or even with it when they don't have a range of supporting legendary items. Instead of going with your half-completed set you can also just run with Legacy of Dreams, level it up a few times and equip any random legendary items you find, making it even easier to complete GR20 with just about anything you choose.
GR20 Setups
Seasonal Haedrig's Gift rotations are grouped together. Check below to find out more about the suggested setups and how to unlock your full set.
Barbarian - Wrath of the Wastes
GR20 Run
This run will be cake because of 4 pieces you already have give you significant damage buffs to Rend. Stack up various buffs like War Cry and Battle Rage while using Threatening Shout for Fury. Apply Rend to enemies, then tap Whirlwind to boost its damage and your damage reduction.
Full Set
After you complete the full Wrath of the Wastes set, focus on acquiring the remaining key items for the build. These should easily carry you into Torment XVI and beyond:
- Lamentation
- Ambo's Pride
- Band of Might
Make sure to check out the full build guide here: Waste Whirlwind Rend Barbarian Guide
Once you have the full setup, use it to farm for any other build you may want to play. Refer to our Solo Tier List to get a better picture.
Crusader - Roland's Legacy
GR20 Run
Roland's Legacy has its biggest multiplier on the 4-piece bonus, so you will destroy this run with ease. Simply walk up to a pack of enemies and use Sweep Attack. A single hit is usually enough, so don't waste your Wrath. Activate Laws of Valor Unstoppable Force, Akarat's Champion and Provoke whenever you can for more resources.
Full Set
After you complete the full Roland's Legacy set, focus on acquiring the remaining key items for the build. These should easily carry you into Torment XVI and beyond:
- Goldwrap
- Golden Flense
- Denial
Make sure to check out the full build guide here: Roland Sweep Attack Crusader Guide
Once you have the full setup, use it to farm for any other build you may want to play. Refer to our Solo Tier List to get a better picture.
Demon Hunter - Unhallowed Essence
GR20 Run
You should have either Karlei's Point or Lord Greenstone's Fan from leveling already, so use either of those skills to complete the run. Activate your buffs (Companion, Vengeance) whenever you can and keep up the 4-piece bonus as much as possible.
Full Set
After you complete the full Unhallowed Essence set, focus on acquiring the remaining key items for the build. These should easily carry you into Torment XVI and beyond:
- Yang's Recurve
- Dead Man's Legacy
- Elusive Ring
- Wraps of Clarity
Make sure to check out the full build guide here: UE Multishot Demon Hunter Guide
Once you have the full setup, use it to farm for any other build you may want to play. Refer to our Solo Tier List to get a better picture.
Monk - Raiment of a Thousand Storms
GR20 Run
This run is relatively easy. Enabled by the 2-piece bonus to Generators and the Combination Strike passive, you can deal a good amount of damage in GR20. Use Deadly Reach and Way of the Hundred Fists at least once every 10 seconds and punch away with Crippling Wave. Activate your defenses when needed.
Full Set
After you complete the Raiment of a Thousand Storms set, focus on acquiring the remaining key items for the build. These should easily carry you into Torment XVI and beyond:
- Spirit Guards
- Depth Diggers
- Lefebvre's Soliloquy
- Shenlong's Spirit
Make sure to check out the full build guide here: Raiment Generator Monk Guide
Once you have the full setup, use it to farm for any other build you may want to play. Refer to our Solo Tier List to get a better picture.
Necromancer - Bones of Rathma
GR20 Run
Bones of Rathma is a very powerful set but not well-suited for speedfarming, so alternatively, use Legacy of Dreams with any random legendary items you can find. With Rathma, stack Cooldown Reduction as much as possible to reset Army of the Dead with Command Skeletons and Revive.
Full Set
After you complete the full Bones of Rathma set, focus on acquiring the remaining key items for the build. These should easily carry you into Torment XVI and beyond:
- Jesseth Arms
- Funerary Pick
- Fate's Vow
- Krysbin's Sentence
Make sure to check out the full build guide here: Rathma Army of the Dead Necromancer Guide. Alternatively, just stick to your Legacy of Dreams setup and improve it by acquiring more (ancient) legendary items, key legendary powers for your main skill and leveling your gem.
Once you have the full setup, use it to farm for any other build you may want to play. Refer to our Solo Tier List to get a better picture.
Witch Doctor - Helltooth Harness
GR20 Run
Necrosis from the set's 2-piece bonus makes this run pure faceroll. Select your favorite skills to apply the DoT and help out with extra damage and it will go very smooth. Use Piranhado to group up enemies and Spirit Walk to survive.
Full Set
After you complete the full Helltooth Harness set, focus on acquiring the remaining key items for the build. These should easily carry you into Torment XVI and beyond:
- Lakumba's Ornament
- Scrimshaw
- Ursua's Trodden Effigy
- Sacred Harvester
Make sure to check out the full build guide here: Helltooth Zombie Bears Witch Doctor Guide. If you like pet builds, also take a look at Helltooth Gargantuan Witch Doctor Guide.
Once you have the full setup, use it to farm for any other build you may want to play. Refer to our Solo Tier List to get a better picture.
Wizard - Tal Rasha's Elements
GR20 Run
This run will be easy thanks to the set's 2-piece automatic Meteor casts. Activate Familiar and Ice Armor, then slice away at enemies with Spectral Blade. Use Black Hole for bigger packs to boost your damage.
Full Set
After you complete the full Tal Rasha's Elements set, focus on acquiring the remaining key items for the build. These should easily carry you into Torment XVI and beyond:
- The Grand Vizier
- The Smoldering Core
- Mempo of Twilight
- Nilfur's Boast
- Halo of Karini
Make sure to check out the full build guide here: Tal Rasha Meteor Wizard Guide
Once you have the full setup, use it to farm for any other build you may want to play. Refer to our Solo Tier List to get a better picture.
Barbarian - Horde of the Ninety Savages
GR20 Run
The set barely offers any damage buffs so we use one of the Bracers acquired from gambling items at level 1 to help us out Bracers of Destruction or Bracers of the First Men. If you don't have any of them, you can also do it without the set by leveling Legacy of Dreams a few times. Buff yourself up with War Cry and Battle Rage while using Threatening Shout for Fury and extra damage.
Full Set
After you complete the full Horde of the Ninety Savages set, focus on acquiring the remaining key items for the build. These should easily carry you into Torment XVI and beyond:
- Bastion's Revered
- Oathkeeper
- Depth Diggers
- Band of Might
Make sure to check out the full build guide here: Savage Frenzy Barbarian Guide
Once you have the full setup, use it to farm for any other build you may want to play. Refer to our Solo Tier List to get a better picture.
Crusader - Aegis of Valor
GR20 Run
This run will be easy because of the set's 2- and 4-piece bonuses. Refill resources and stack the buff up to three times with Fist of the Heavens Fissure, then decimate elite packs with Heaven's Fury Fires of Heaven. Activate your buffs Laws of Valor Unstoppable Force and Akarat's Champion for more damage and resources whenever you are about to nuke.
Full Set
After you complete the full Aegis of Valor set, focus on acquiring the remaining key items for the build. These should easily carry you into Torment XVI and beyond:
- Darklight
- Khassett's Cord of Righteousness
- Vigilante Belt
Make sure to check out the full build guide here: AoV Fist of the Heavens Crusader Guide and AoV Heaven's Fury Crusader Guide
Once you have the full setup, use it to farm for any other build you may want to play. Refer to our Solo Tier List to get a better picture.
Demon Hunter - Gears of Dreadlands
GR20 Run
This build is already strong without the 6-piece bonus. Stack your Momentum buff a few times at the start and keep it near 20 by shooting Bolas every few seconds. Activate your buffs (Companion, Vengeance) whenever you can and pull enemies together for more AoE damage.
Full Set
After you complete the full Gears of Dreadlands set, focus on acquiring the remaining key items for the build. These should easily carry you into Torment XVI and beyond:
- The Ninth Cirri Satchel
- Hunter's Wrath
- Dawn
- Wraps of Clarity
Make sure to check out the full build guide here: GoD Hungering Arrow Demon Hunter Guide
Once you have the full setup, use it to farm for any other build you may want to play. Refer to our Solo Tier List to get a better picture.
Monk - Patterns of Justice
GR20 Run
The set doesn't offer much help in the GR20 run, but it's still possible to do without additional items. To help with more AoE-damage, use Exploding Palm on a few small enemies after gathering a pack of monsters, then Tempest Rush + Mystic Ally until they explode. Don't waste your time on healthy elites and just move on to more density. Activate your defenses when needed.
Full Set
After you complete the Patterns of Justice set, focus on acquiring the remaining key items for the build. These should easily carry you into Torment XVI and beyond:
- Balance
- Won Khim Lau
- Cesar's Memento
Make sure to check out the full build guide here: Patterns of Justice Tempest Rush Monk Guide
Once you have the full setup, use it to farm for any other build you may want to play. Refer to our Solo Tier List to get a better picture.
Necromancer - Masquerade of the Burning Carnival
GR20 Run
This set doesn't help at all until you have the full bonus, and even then it's lackluster until you acquire Haunted Visions. It's best to simply play around any big multiplier you got or level up Legacy of Dreams a few times and roll some extra Cooldown Reduction to help out with this run. Summon your Skeletal Mages with as much Essence as possible and finish with Corpse Explosion after defeating some enemies.
Full Set
After you complete the full Masquerade of the Burning Carnival set, focus on acquiring the remaining key items for the build. These should easily carry you into Torment XVI and beyond:
- Haunted Visions
- Scythe of the Cycle
- Maltorius' Petrified Spike
- Gelmindor's Marrow Guards
Make sure to check out the full build guide here: Masquerade Bone Spear Necromancer Guide.
Witch Doctor - Mundunugu's Regalia
GR20 Run
While the set doesn't offer any value until it's completed, WDs are quite strong on their own already. The easiest solution is to make a lvl 1 WD and gamble Gazing Demise, which is also part of the full setup for this build. It's very easy to acquire because it's the only Mojo than you can roll. Cast Spirit Barrage up to 3 times into monster packs and pull them together wih Piranhado for the best damage output.
Full Set
After you complete the full Mundunugu's Regalia set, focus on acquiring the remaining key items for the build. These should easily carry you into Torment XVI and beyond:
- Lakumba's Ornament
- The Barber
- Sacred Harvester
Make sure to check out the full build guide here: Mundunugu Spirit Barrage Witch Doctor Guide
Once you have the full setup, use it to farm for any other build you may want to play. Refer to our Solo Tier List to get a better picture.
Wizard - The Typhon's Veil
GR20 Run
Without the full set bonus, this build is quite weak and only really performs well once you have Serpent's Sparker. Regardless, it's possible to complete GR20 by simply gambling Winter Flurry on a lvl 1 Wizard, where it's the only Source you can get and easy to acquire. Focus on combing the powers of the Source, Black Hole Absolute Zero and Frost Hydra to succeed. Alternatively, you can also level Legacy of Dreams a few times and use any other legendary items you have found to make this run easier.
Full Set
After you complete the full The Typhon's Veil set, focus on acquiring the remaining key items for the build. These should easily carry you into Torment XVI and beyond:
- Serpent's Sparker
- Fragment of Destiny
- Winter Flurry
- Halo of Karini
Make sure to check out the full build guide here: Typhon Hydra Wizard Guide
Once you have the full setup, use it to farm for any other build you may want to play. Refer to our Solo Tier List to get a better picture.
Barbarian - Immortal King's Call
GR20 Run
Keep up Wrath of the Berserker and Call of the Ancients at all times. Ancients' Fury will supply you with a lot of resources already, but you can get even more with Threatening Shout. Activate your buffs as much as possible, Furious Charge into big packs of Enemies and smash them with Hammer of the Ancients. If you have found any other strong damage multiplier for a different skill, use that instead to make it easier.
Full Set
After you complete the full Immortal King's Call set, focus on acquiring the remaining key items for the build. These should easily carry you into Torment XVI and beyond:
- The Gavel of Judgment
- Bracers of the First Men
- Band of Might
Make sure to check out the full build guide here: Immortal King HotA Guide
Once you have the full setup, use it to farm for any other build you may want to play. Refer to our Solo Tier List to get a better picture. The overall best setup we recommend for Barbarians is the Wrath of the Wastes Rend build. Other options are Horde of the Ninety Savages Frenzy or Might of the Earth Earthquake. Click here for Frenzy or Leapquake guides.
Crusader - Seeker of the Light
GR20 Run
With just your 4-piece bonus you will have a hard time completing GR20. If you have found any strong damage multipliers for any skill, use that instead. With Seeker of the Light only, you will have an easier time if you have found at least one of the supporting legendaries. Falling Sword into big packs of enemies and decimate them with Blessed Hammer. Use Provoke and Shield Glare to recover resources.
Full Set
After you complete the full Seeker of the Light set, focus on acquiring the remaining key items for the build. These should easily carry you into Torment XVI and beyond:
- Hammer Jammers
- Johanna's Argument
- Guard of Johanna
- Gabriel's Vambraces
- Faithful Memory
Make sure to check out the full build guide here: Seeker Blessed Hammer Guide
Once you have the full setup, use it to farm for any other build you may want to play. Refer to our Solo Tier List to get a better picture.
Demon Hunter - Natalya's Vengeance
GR20 Run
Natalya's Vengeance is already pretty decent on its own by giving huge bonuses to Spike Trap. Spam them everywhere up to 10 times, then trigger them with Multishot and repeat. Make sure to drop Caltrops to boost your damage further.
Full Set
After you complete the full Natalya's Vengeance set, focus on acquiring the remaining key items for the build. These should easily carry you into Torment XVI and beyond:
- The Demon's Demise
- Chanon Bolter
- Wraps of Clarity
Make sure to check out the full build guide here: Natalya Spike Trap Demon Hunter Guide
Once you have the full setup, use it to farm for any other build you may want to play. Refer to our Solo Tier List to get a better picture.
Monk - Uliana's Stratagem
GR20 Run
Uliana's Stratagem doesn't require any additional help and works great for GR20: Apply Exploding Palm to groups of enemies with your Way of the Hundred Fists, then start the chain reaction with Seven-Sided Strike. Group up enemies with Cyclone Strike and stay mobile with Dashing Strike. Blinding Flash can be used for additional damage or be replaced with other choices such as Serenity or a Mantra.
Full Set
After you complete the Uliana's Stratagem set, focus on acquiring the remaining key items for the build. These should easily carry you into Torment XVI and beyond:
- The Fist of Az'turrasq
- In-Geom
- The Flow of Eternity
- Gungdo Gear
- Madstone
Make sure to check out the full build guide here: Uliana Exploding Palm Guide
Once you have the full setup, use it to farm for any other build you may want to play. Refer to our Solo Tier List to get a better picture.
Necromancer - Trag'Oul's Avatar
GR20 Run
Trag'Oul's Avatar isn't a great starter and offers nothing to help you for GR20. Instead, use Legacy of Dreams with any random legendary items you can find. If you acquire any strong damage multipliers, use that to make it easier, otherwise acquire Grasps of Essence by gambling with a level 1 Necromancer and use Corpse Explosion as your main skill. Stack some Cooldown Reduction and produce corpses with Command Golem Flesh Golem, Land of the Dead and by killing enemies.
Full Set
After you complete the full Trag'Oul's Avatar set, focus on acquiring the remaining key items for the build. These should easily carry you into Torment XVI and beyond:
- Grasps of Essence
- Trag'Oul's Corroded Fang
- Messerschmidt's Reaver
- Krysbin's Sentence
Make sure to check out the full build guide here: Trag'Oul Corpse Explosion Guide.
Witch Doctor - Spirit of Arachyr
GR20 Run
Witch Doctor has great base skills and a friendly helpful spider queen from the Spirit of Arachyr (2) Bonus. Summon your minions, apply DoTs and everything will melt. Keep up Soul Harvest and stay close to enemies for the Confidence Ritual bonus. If you have any strong damage multipliers for other skills, remove Gargantuan to speed things up. Use Spirit Walk to stay mobile and Piranhado to group up enemies.
Full Set
After you complete the full Spirit of Arachyr set, focus on acquiring the remaining key items for the build. These should easily carry you into Torment XVI and beyond:
- Cluckeye
- Manajuma's Carving Knife
- Manajuma's Gory Fetch
- Ring of Emptiness

Once you have the full setup, use it to farm for any other build you may want to play. Refer to our Solo Tier List to get a better picture.
Wizard - Vyr's Amazing Arcana
GR20 Run
Vyr's Amazing Arcana doesn't do much on its own, even with the full bonus. You are better off equipping any random legendary items you find and combining them with Legacy of Dreams. If you find any strong damage multipliers for any skill, use that to make it easier, otherwise go with Arcane Orb Frozen Orb. Activate your Magic Weapon and Familiar, group up enemies with Black Hole and destroy them from a distance where the orbs detonate exactly on top of your enemies.
Full Set
After you complete the full Vyr's Amazing Arcana set, focus on acquiring the remaining key items for the build. These should easily carry you into Torment XVI and beyond:
- Messerschmidt's Reaver
- Fazula's Improbable Chain
- The Swami
- Chantodo's Will
- Chantodo's Force
- Halo of Karini

Barbarian - Might of the Earth
GR20 Run

GR20 Run
With the (2) Bonus giving you such a massive damage boost already this run should be a walk in the park. You should have either Lord Greenstone's Fan or Karlei's Point from crafting them at level 1, so just use any of their supported skills or whatever you feel like to blast through the rift.
Full Set
After you complete the full The Shadow's Mantle set, focus on acquiring the remaining key items for the build. These should easily carry you into Torment XVI and beyond:
- Karlei's Point

Full Set
After you complete the Monkey King's Garb set, focus on acquiring the remaining key items for the build. These should easily carry you into Torment XVI and beyond:
- Vengeful Wind
- Incense Torch of the Grand Temple
- Pinto's Pride

Necromancer - Grace of Inarius
GR20 Run
Grace of Inarius isn't a great starter and doesn't offer that much to help you in GR20. Instead, use Legacy of Dreams with any random legendary items you can find. If you acquire any strong damage multipliers, use that to make it easier. Skeletal Mage is a great skill on its own, otherwise acquire Grasps of Essence by gambling with a level 1 Necromancer and use Corpse Explosion as your main skill.
Full Set
After you complete the full Grace of Inarius set, focus on acquiring the remaining key items for the build. These should easily carry you into Torment XVI and beyond:
- Grasps of Essence
- Trag'Oul's Corroded Fang

Witch Doctor - Raiment of the Jade Harvester
GR20 Run
The easiest way to clear GR20 with this set is playing around the (2) Bonus: Make small pulls and spam Haunt all the time. As soon as all nearby monsters have the DoT on them, you will start oneshotting them one by one once a second application lands on them. Make sure to keep up Soul Harvest and use Spirit Walk for survival and mobility.
Full Set

Demon Hunter - Embodiment of the Marauder
GR20 Run
You already get a solid damage buff from the incomplete set. The key is strategic positioning of Sentry so that they have a good vision of the area. Once you have set them up, use Cluster Arrow to decimate your enemies, then refill Hatred with Preparation Punishment, Companion and your generator.
Full Set
After you complete the full Embodiment of the Marauder set, focus on acquiring the remaining key items for the build. These should easily carry you into Torment XVI and beyond:

If you already have The Crudest Boots, just go with Water Ally and you win.
Full Set

Necromancer - Pestilence Master's Shroud
GR20 Run
Pestilence Master's Shroud isn't a great starter but with some effort you can still make it work in GR20. Alternatively, use Legacy of Dreams with any random legendary items you can find. Stack Cooldown Reduction as much as possible to combine Corpse Lance with Devour spam during Land of the Dead for a burst. Command Golem will help you out in smaller bursts on a shorter cooldown.
Full Set
After you complete the full Pestilence Master's Shroud set, focus on acquiring the remaining key items for the build. These should easily carry you into Torment XVI and beyond:

Witch Doctor - Zunimassa's Haunt
GR20 Run
Summon your Fetish Army immediately and whenever possible inside a pack of monsters. Keep up Soul Harvest for yourself and Locust Swarm on your enemies at all times, otherwise spam Haunt as much as possible for DPS. Piranhado helps to group up enemies better.

Wizard - Delsere's Magnum Opus
GR20 Run
Beating GR20 without any help is really tough as the incomplete set doesn't help us. Instead, use Legacy of Dreams, rank it up a few times and equip any random legendary/set items you found. If you have any strong multiplier for a skill, go with that to make it easier, otherwise use the shown setup revolving around Hydra and Blizzard and pull as many enemies as possible.
Full Set
After you complete the full Delsere's Magnum Opus set, focus on acquiring the remaining key items for the build. These should easily carry you into Torment XVI and beyond:
- Unstable Scepter
