Tier 4 Igniter Sorceress Build Guide
Last Updated:November 12, 2024|Changelog
Welcome to the Tier 4 Igniter Sorceress Build Guide! This build revolves around gathering Arcane Meter with your skills to release devastating Casting spells under the influence of Arcane Rupture (Z).
Igniter Sorceress struggles with on-demand Stagger and Counter, mainly due to her long cooldowns and those skills being required in her rotation. To compensate for that, she has high Destruction capability.
- Non-positional gameplay
- Ranged
- Low APM
- Low defense
- Poor mobility
- Requires raid knowledge
- Reliant on party
- If you're unsure when to transition, our Ark Passive Breakpoints guide could help you decide whether you should return to the Tier 3 Guide or continue.

Builds
Skills Setup
- Doomsday, Explosion, Punishing Strike and Rushing Glacier are your main damage skills. Always used during Arcane Rupture.
- Inferno, Seraphic Hail and Frost's Call are your main Arcane Meter generators.
- Blaze is your Synergy skill.
- Squall is your Counter skill.
Alternative Skill, Tripod, and Rune Options
Seraphic Hail can be replaced with Rime Arrow
- This provides a bit more Stagger, Damage and Arcane Meter, but makes it harder to hit twice during Arcane Rupture.
Skills Setup
- Reverse Gravity and Ice Shower are your main ways to deal with large packs of lesser monsters.
- Punishing Strike, Esoteric Reaction and Inferno can all deal with Elite monsters on their own.
Recommended Engravings
- Preemptive Strike
- Contender
- Raid Captain
- Cursed Doll
- Magick Stream
This build is optimized and meant to be used only in Kurzan Front. For Ebony Cube please use a Raid build.
Identity & Gameplay
This build focuses on dealing massive amounts of burst damage within the Arcane Rupture (Z) window. Skills like Doomsday, Explosion, and Punishing Strike benefit from the Magick Amplification tripod which enhances their damage even further when cast during Arcane Rupture.
An integral part of your rotation is casting Doomsday twice for each Arcane Rupture window. This can be achieved by precasting Doomsday, then entering your identity, with the second cast becoming available towards the end of the cycle.
Activating her identity grants you the following effects for its entire duration:
- Greatly shortened skill cast time
- +18% Damage to skills with an Elemental Attribute
- +1 Weak Point Level to skills with a Fire Attribute
- +1 Stagger Level to skills with a Lightning Attribute
- -25% Cooldown to all skills except spacebar and Awakening, further increased to -50% by the Igniter node - this only applies to current cooldowns and happens upon activation

Rotation
Avoid using Frost's Call during Arcane Rupture and Doomsday while outside of it, as both of these actions will significantly slow down your cycle.
Arcane Meter generation
- Be careful when using Inferno,Squall and Blaze since they lacks Paralysis Immunity, and getting them cancelled by basic boss attacks can significantly delay your cycles.
- In consecutive cycles, cooldowns won't line up as nicely and you will have to adjust on the fly.
Arcane Rupture Burst cycle
- Make sure to immediately use Arcane Rupture after your Doomsday cast, so the meteor falls inside the burst buffs. Also use Seraphic Hail immediately after so you can fit it twice in one burst cycle.
- The rotation isn't strict, but always try to fit at least your main damage skills inside this burst window. You can cancel your Arcane Rupture early if you've already used your Doomsday and Seraphic Hail/Rime Arrow twice, to start building Arcane Meter quicker.
- Reapply your Synergy with Blaze whenever it's about to fall off.
- If using Rime Arrow, you should use it in the same way Seraphic Hail is used here, twice per rotation. The second use will come after the second Doomsday.
Gems
Gems are another significant aspect of your build, as they directly impact the damage and cooldowns of your skills. You can equip up to 11 gems at a time. Here are the ones you should focus on to maximize this build's potential, listed according to their priority.
