Need some tips for general content? Check out our Guardian Raids and Abyssal Dungeons guides.

  • Eye of the Storm, Celestial Force Barrage, and Falling Blossoms (Z) are your main damage skills.
  • Falling Star is a secondary damage skill, as well as a Shock gauge generator.
  • Yeon Galestorm Strike, Hundred Fists, and Adamantine Assault are your main meter generation skills.
  • Brawl King's Advance is mainly used to generate Shock gauge.
  • Crater Strike is your Synergy (Damage Amplification) and Counter skill.
  • Celestial Door is your Awakening. It is preferred thanks to its significantly higher damage. Even though Butterfly Sting fills your meter entirely when used, you wouldn't benefit from it as your Shock skills would still be on cooldown from your previous burst.

Alternative Skill, Tripod, and Rune Options

Brawl King's Advance

  • Excellent Mobility - Significantly improves your mobility, but requires high Specialization to use.

Crater Strike

  • Purify - Allows you to cleanse your debuffs.

Adamantine Assault

  • Wealth - Use this if you don't have access to a second Wealth.

Check the Rune Guide for more details on Runes and how to obtain them.

This build is optimized and meant to be used only in Chaos Dungeons. For Ebony Cube please use a Raid build.

  • Earthbreaker and Zaffre Nova are your main ways to deal with large packs of lesser monsters.
  • Celestial Force Barrage and Eye of the Storm can both deal with Elite monsters on their own.
  • Eye of the Storm is your primary way of dealing with the Boss on the 2nd Floor.
  • Brawl King's Advance serves as a quick mobility option.
  • Falling Star, Flashstep, and Adamantine Assault are all used to generate Shock gauge.
  • Butterfly Sting is your Awakening. It is preferred over Celestial Door thanks to its significantly faster animation.

While you can freely experiment with any engravings you want for this content, here's a recommended setup, based on the Engraving Support system:

  • Preemptive Strike causes your attacks to deal immense amounts of damage to monsters that you haven't attacked yet, making it ideal for Chaos Dungeons.
  • Contender is a stacking Attack Power effect that increases in strength once you kill a monster, making it ideal for Chaos Dungeons.
  • Raid Captain provides damage based on your Bonus Movement Speed, synergizing well with the Buff Nodes scattered throughout Chaos Dungeons.
  • Cursed Doll increases your damage with essentially no drawback in Chaos Dungeons.
  • Brawl King Storm provides unconditional damage and an additional high damage skill.

Gameplay & Skill Rotation

Brawl King Storm Breaker uses Stamina skills to generate Shock gauge, expending it entirely to deliver powerful blows with each Shock skill used. Additionally, once your Tenacious Power is full, you can enter Brawl King Stance (Z), gaining increased stats and access to a new powerful skill.

Your Stamina skills consume Stamina gauge and generate Shock gauge, while your Shock skills consume Shock gauge and generate Stamina gauge. However, this build has Shock skills utilizing the Limit Break tripod, consuming all available Shock gauge when used.

Thanks to the Class Engraving, the duration of Brawl King Stance increases from 10 seconds to 15, and the Attack Speed buff it grants increases from +10% to +20%. Additionally, your Spacebar's cooldown is reset and your Synergy is applied upon entering Brawl King Stance, and while in it you passively generate Shock gauge.

Besides that, your Class Engraving also enables the use of Falling Blossoms (Z), and grants it effects similar to the Limit Break tripod:

  • Consumes all available Shock gauge
  • +4% Damage per Shock point consumed
  • +15% Crit Rate
  • +20/50/80% Damage
  • Is treated as a Shock skill

Tenacious Power

Once you enter Brawl King Stance, every third basic attack becomes enhanced, lowering the remaining cooldown of your normal skills by 5%. However, after using a Stamina skill, the next basic attack becomes enhanced regardless of whether you performed any other basic attacks before it. This allows you to weave the CDR effect between your skills to significantly hasten your rotation. Enhanced basic attacks must hit a target for the effect to take place.

Basic Rotations

Meter Generation

  • Using skills in this specific order is recommended to minimize the time it takes to fill your meter, as well as ensuring you have a full Shock gauge when that happens.
  • Hundred Fists can either be held for its entire duration or cut short halfway through, depending on your Specialization and Wealth runes:
    • 1565 Specialization + 2x Wealth - full hold
    • 1635 Specialization + 1x Wealth - full hold
    • 1680 Specialization + 2x Wealth - half hold
    • 1680 Specialization + 2x Wealth + Excellent Mobility on Brawl King's Advance - full hold
    • 1800 Specialization + 2x Wealth + Excellent Mobility on Brawl King's Advance - half hold

Burst Rotation

  • Each Shock skill should benefit from a full Shock gauge when used.
    • Eye of the Storm should already have Shock gauge from the meter building phase.
    • Falling Blossoms (Z) fills your Shock gauge as it charges, so it can be used without having to fill it yourself.
    • After using all three Shock skills during burst, you can keep rotating between Brawl King's Advance, Crater Strike, and Falling Star in order to lower your cooldowns.
    • If you happen to miss skills during the build-up phase, you can use Celestial Force Barrage to recover, but this will make it come back up near the end of your burst duration, making it risky to fit in. This also means you have to use Falling Blossoms (Z) first instead of Eye of the Storm, unless you manage to get full Shock gauge again before going into Brawl King Stance.
  • During Brawl King Stance, make sure to weave in basic attacks after each Stamina skill in order to lower the cooldown of your skills.
  • Try your best to maintain your Synergy using Crater Strike, even if you aren't planning to attack immediately after.

Stagger Check Rotation

  • Using skills in the same order as your meter generation cycle is recommended for most stagger checks, as well as maintaining the flow of your damage rotation, thanks to your skills' naturally high stagger values. However, each check can vary in duration, so you may need to readjust depending on the situation and your party's composition. Remember you can also use a Whirlwind Grenade if you have one equipped!

Tripods and Gems

Tripod Levelling

Increasing the level of Tripods greatly enhances their effectiveness. You may only increase the level of 18 tripods at a time. Some of them cannot be leveled at all, or are left at level 1 - these tripods are omitted from the table, even if they are used. Here are the main tripods you should look out for in order to maximize this build's potential.

Gems

Gems are another significant aspect of your build, as they directly impact the damage and cooldowns of your skills. You can equip up to 11 gems at a time. Here are the ones you should focus on in order to maximize this build's potential, listed according to their priority.

Stat Priority

This build utilizes Specialization and Crit.

  • Crit is a secondary stat. It offers damage consistency.

Gear Set

Hallucination Set

This set is optimal thanks to the combination of Damage and Crit Rate that it provides, on top of not requiring any active maintenance beyond initial activation.

The name of your set will change every time you acquire a higher tier of gear, but the set effect will remain the same. Look for your set's keyword when recrafting it to find it more easily (e.g Entropy, Hallucination etc).

Check out the Gear Progression Guide for step by step instructions and early game gearing.

Engravings

Engravings are a core part of your build. Typically, most engravings will be used at level 3, but there are some that can be used at level 1 or 2 in addition to the others, after reaching item level 1540 and unlocking Ancient Accessories.

Relic Gearing Build (5x3)

  • Brawl King Storm
  • Grudge
  • Super Charge
  • Keen Blunt Weapon
  • Adrenaline

Ancient Gearing Build (5x3+1)

  • Brawl King Storm
  • Grudge
  • Super Charge
  • Keen Blunt Weapon
  • Cursed Doll
  • Adrenaline Lv 1

Engraving Explanations

Core Engravings

  • Brawl King Storm enhances your identity and grants you access to a powerful skill, as well as increasing your damage.
  • Grudge increases damage done while also increasing damage received. The engraving is a highly effective damage increase without needing specific positioning, making it worthwhile even with the penalty.
  • Super Charge decreases the charge time of some of your main skills, as well as increasing their damage.
  • Keen Blunt Weapon synergizes well with your gear set and Crit substat.

Add-on Engravings (Pick 1)

  • Hit Master provides an unconditional damage boost to your main skills, as none of the important ones have a positional affix.
  • Cursed Doll is a significant Attack Power increase at the cost of -25% healing. The healing penalty can be punishing for inexperienced players who are not familiar with boss mechanics, but it becomes easy to overcome with time.
  • Adrenaline provides an additional source of Crit Rate and Attack Power. It can be somewhat hard to upkeep.

Level 1 and 2 Engravings

  • Adrenaline provides an additional source of Crit Rate and Attack Power. It can be somewhat hard to upkeep. Recommended to pair together with Cursed Doll or Hit Master Level 3.
  • Ether Predator provides a ramping Attack Power and Defense effect as the fight goes on and you collect more ethers. Recommended to pair together with Adrenaline Level 3.

Check out the Engraving Guide for more details.

Bracelet

Bracelets provide beneficial effects to yourself or to your party members depending on the rolls they have.

The primary goal is to get the main stats used by this build Specialization and Crit. After that you should be aiming for Special Rolls to get more damage. Please note that this system is heavily reliant on RNG, and you should not expect to get much more beyond your main stats early on.

Optimal Bonus Rolls

Specialization
Crit
Circulate
Fervor
Hammer
Wedge

Alternative Bonus Rolls

Precise
Assail
Superiority
Weapon Power
Strength

Check out the Bracelet Guide for more details.

Elixir

The recommended Elixir Set for this build is Master.

Check out the Elixir Guide for more details and general stat recommendations.

Card Sets

Cards are an endgame system that helps maximize your character's damage. Here are the recommended card sets for this build.

  • Deep Dive is used early on as it is fairly easy to obtain.
  • Light of Salvation is the standard endgame option, but it can take a long time to acquire 30-piece Awakening.
  • Kazeros's Legion Commanders is used as an alternative to Light of Salvation, in content where enemies have a weakness to Dark Damage.

Check out the Card Guide for more details on how to obtain cards and interact with them.
