Tier 4 Pinnacle Glaivier Build Guide
Last Updated:November 11, 2024|Changelog
Welcome to the Tier 4 Pinnacle Glaivier Build Guide! This build revolves around gracefully resonating between your two stances - Focus and Flurry. Alternating skills from both stances allow you to deal concentrated damage while outmaneuvering your enemies.
Pinnacle Glaivier struggles to inflict significant amounts of Stagger and Destruction, mostly due to her best contribution skills being part of her rotation. In exchange, she has access to two Counter skills, one for each stance.
- Good defense
- Easy to learn
- Low APM
- Positional gameplay
- Melee
- Long cast times
- If you're unsure when to transition, our Ark Passive Breakpoints guide could help you decide whether you should return to the Tier 3 Guide or continue.
- If you want a simpler and more fast-paced playstyle, check out our Control guide.
- For more information on some of the systems that make up your build, check out the guides below:
Builds
Ark Passive
Skills Setup
- Red Dragon's Horn, Starfall Pounce, and Thrust of Destruction are your main damage skills.
- 4-Headed Dragon, Half Moon Slash, and Raging Dragon Slash are secondary damage skills.
- Shackling Blue Dragon is your main Synergy (Target Weak Point) skill. Additionally, it provides +20% Crit Rate for 6 seconds, but only to yourself.
- Windsplitter is used to supplement the duration of your Synergy (Target Weak Point), since Shackling Blue Dragon is often used for your own benefit.
- Thorn Jab and Spiraling Spear are your Counter skills.
- Dragonscale Defense functions as a Parry - a powerful defensive skill that negates almost any incoming attack and grants you a shield for 50% of your Maximum HP for a short timeframe.
- Yeon-style Spear Technique: Spear Meteor is your Awakening. It is preferred over Yeon-style Spear Technique: Storming Red Dragon thanks to its ability to fit into your buff windows.
Ark Passive
Skills Setup
- Cutting Wind and Raging Dragon Slash are your main ways to deal with large packs of enemies.
- Starfall Pounce and Thrust of Destruction can both deal with Elite monsters on their own.
- Red Dragon's Horn is your primary way of dealing with Boss type monsters.
- 4-Headed Dragon and Shackling Blue Dragon are used as fillers.
- Yeon-style Spear Technique: Storming Red Dragon is your Awakening. It is preferred over Yeon-style Spear Technique: Spear Meteor thanks to its faster cast speed.
Recommended Engravings
- Preemptive Strike
- Contender
- Raid Captain
- Cursed Doll
- Magick Stream
This build is optimized and meant to be used only in Kurzan Front. For Ebony Cube please use a Raid build.
Identity & Gameplay
Pinnacle Glaivier uses both of her stances, but Focus allows access to significantly stronger skills than Flurry. In exchange, Flurry provides more utility and effects that you can use to strengthen your Focus skills. Changing back and forth between stances can be done freely, but in order to gain the buffs that come with it, you must consume one bar of the Dual Meter.
Consuming a Dual Meter bar and performing a swap grants you the following effects:
- +15% Attack Speed
- +25% Damage
- +15% Movement Speed
- +60% Crit Damage
All attacks with a Back Attack affix receive +10% Crit Rate and +5% Damage when they land on the target's back-side indicator. It is important to position yourself accordingly as much as possible to take advantage of this.
Glaivier Identity
This build focuses on a sequence that utilizes the Crit Rate buff from Shackling Blue Dragon by immediately swapping to the Focus Stance and unleashing powerful skills. In the downtime that comes after this, you are free to use your secondary damage skills, perform mechanics, or reposition for the next sequence.
Rotation
Standard Damage Rotation
- Using skills in this specific order is recommended to maximize damage output, but once all the main skills of Focus stance have been used, you may reposition or delay the Flurry skills if needed.
- Yeon-Style Encore is used as a buff for other skills, and is consumed after using any skill. If Deadly Red Dragon is on cooldown, you should enhance Red Dragon's Horn.
- Try your best to maintain your Synergy using Windsplitter, even if you aren't planning to attack immediately after.
- Using Yeon-style Spear Technique: Spear Meteor at the beginning of a rotation allows it to benefit from Shackling Blue Dragon's Crit Rate buff. If you don't believe you can perform this reliably, consider using Yeon-style Spear Technique: Storming Red Dragon instead.
Stagger Check Rotation
- This build's contribution to stagger checks may often be lacking. Remember, you can also use a Whirlwind Grenade if you have one equipped!
Gems
Gems are another significant aspect of your build, as they directly impact the damage and cooldowns of your skills. You can equip up to 11 gems at a time. Here are the ones you should focus on in order to maximize this build's potential, listed according to their priority.
