Tier 3 Berserker’s Technique Berserker Build Guide
Last Updated:November 16, 2024|Changelog
Welcome to the Berserker's Technique Build Guide! This build revolves around building up your Fury Meter to unleash Burst Mode (Z), a state where you are heavily buffed and have high Attack and Movement speed unleashing massive numbers.
Outside of that, this build provides great Stagger and Destruction to the team. It can suffer from some slow animations outside of Burst Mode (Z), however once in it you can expect to be dishing out damage at a rapid pace.
- Non-positional gameplay
- Easy to learn
- Low APM
- Poor mobility
- Melee
Want a more fast paced and consistent playstyle? Check out our Mayhem guide.

Recommended Engraving Setup
While you can freely experiment with any engravings you want for this content, here's a recommended setup, based on the Engraving Support system:
- Preemptive Strike causes your attacks to deal immense amounts of damage to monsters that you haven't attacked yet, making it ideal for Chaos Dungeons.
- Contender is a stacking Attack Power effect that increases in strength once you kill a monster, making it ideal for Chaos Dungeons.
- Raid Captain provides damage based on your Bonus Movement Speed, synergizing well with the Buff Nodes scattered throughout Chaos Dungeons.
- Cursed Doll increases your damage with essentially no drawback in Chaos Dungeons.
- Mayhem is an amazing engraving to help speed up Chaos Dungeons.
Gameplay & Skill Rotation
Berserker's Technique modifies his identity to give it more damage and allow us to reenter Burst Mode (Z) whenever we build up enough Fury Meter.
Activating his identity grants you the following effects for its entire duration:
- 20% Attack and Movement Speed
- 30% Crit Rate
- 36% Damage Increase
- Burst Mode (Z) Cannot be Cancelled
- When Burst Mode (Z) ends, ignore Exhaustion
- Replace Dark Rush with Bloody Rush
Berserker Identity
Bloody Rush essentially becomes our strongest damage skill. It is an incredibly powerful skill during our Burst Mode (Z) and also provides us with some amazing Stagger and Destruction. Additionally Berserk Fury will be significantly stronger due to our Specialization scaling making it another significant damage contribution to your build and also providing Stagger and Destruction.
This build is rather simple, you will be trying to generate your Fury Meter as much as possible, then once you have a full meter you will unleash Burst Mode (Z) gaining massive buffs and unleashing your real damage. By playing around our primary buff Red Dust combined with the damage increase from Burst Mode (Z)and Berserker's Technique you will be doing insane damage, but only if you can position properly and assure all of your skills land.
Basic Rotations
Meter Generation Rotation (Fury Meter build-up)
- Hell Blade, Overdrive, and Brave Slash will be reset once we enter Burst Mode (Z) thanks to Burst Enhancement.
- Try your best to maintain your Synergy using Mountain Crash, even if you aren't planning to attack immediately after.
Burst Rotation (Burst Mode)
- Your goal for this rotation is to buff up using Red Dust then dumping as much damage as possible on the boss.
- There is an alternate rotation that can fit 4 Bloody Rush however this is not mentioned in this guide as it requires extreme investment and is not practical in most raid scenarios.
- Hell Blade can help with repositioning mid rotation.
- Overdrive second hit can be animation canceled by using another skill if you are tight on time as most of the damage is front loaded.
Stagger Check Rotation
- Follow this rotation to deal great Stagger. Remember you can also use a Whirlwind Grenade if you have one equipped!
Tripods and Gems
Tripod Levelling
Increasing the level of Tripods greatly enhances their effectiveness. You may only increase the level of 18 tripods at a time. Some of them cannot be leveled at all, or are left at level 1 - these tripods are omitted from the table, even if they are used. Here are the main tripods you should look out for in order to maximize this build's potential.
Skill | 1st Tripod | 2nd Tripod | 3rd Tripod |
Overdrive | Weak Point Detection | Burst Enhancement | Ruthless |
Finish Strike | Enhanced Strike | Weak Point Detection | Lights Out |
Hell Blade | Burst Enhancement | Bloody Eruption
Brave Slash | Quick Prep | Burst Enhancement | Rage |
Tempest Slash | Focus | Weak Point Detection | Driving Hit |
Wind Blade | Focus | Windswift
Red Dust | Vital Point Hit
Mountain Crash | Vital Point Hit |
Tripods written in bold text are your highest priority, make sure to level them first!
For more information on where to obtain Tripod Amulets and how to use them, check out our Skill Tree System Guide.
Gems
Gems are another significant aspect of your build, as they directly impact the damage and cooldowns of your skills. You can equip up to 11 gems at a time. Here are the ones you should focus on in order to maximize this build's potential, listed according to their priority.

- Bloody Rush

- Tempest Slash
Cooldown Gems

For more information on where to obtain gems and how to use them, check out our Gem System Guide.
Stat Priority
This build utilizes Specialization and Swiftness.
- Specialization is the primary stat. It increases our meter generation and damage, so it is incredibly important to try to get as much of this stat as possible.
- Swiftness is a secondary stat. It provides us with some extra Attack and Movement speed but our main benefit is the extra cooldown reduction allowing us to more comfortably fit skills into Burst Mode (Z).

Gear Set
Hallucination Set
This set is amazing for us since it provides a significant non-conditional Crit Rate increase resulting in a great consistent experience.
Salvation Set
This is an alternative option but it will require you to get Crit on your necklace. It is considered a side grade however for a more comfortable and consistent performance we recommend using Hallucination Set.
The name of your set will change every time you acquire a higher tier of gear, but the set effect will remain the same. Look for your set's keyword when recrafting it to find it more easily (e.g Entropy, Hallucination etc).
Check out the Gear Progression Guide for step by step instructions and early game gearing.

Engravings
Engravings are a core part of your build. Typically, most engravings will be used at level 3, but some can be used at level 1 or 2 in addition to the others, after reaching item level 1540 and unlocking Ancient Accessories.
Relic Gearing Build (5x3)
- Berserker's Technique
- Grudge
- Raid Captain
- Keen Blunt Weapon
- Cursed Doll
Ancient Gearing Build (5x3+1)
- Berserker's Technique
- Grudge
- Raid Captain
- Keen Blunt Weapon
- Cursed Doll
- Ether Predator Lv. 1
Engraving Explanations
Core Engravings
- Berserker's Technique enables the playstyle of our build and the damage scales exceptionally well.
- Grudge increases damage done while also increasing damage received. The engraving is a highly effective damage increase without needing specific positioning, making it worthwhile even with the penalty.
- Raid Captain due to our Burst Mode (Z) gaining movement speed, along with a support we only need 465 Swiftness to reach the maximum 140% Movement speed.
- Keen Blunt Weapon due to our high Crit Rate in Burst Mode (Z) and self-buff of crit we end up having amazing efficiency with this engraving.
- Cursed Doll is a significant Attack Power increase at the cost of 25% healing. The healing penalty can be punishing for inexperienced players who are not familiar with boss mechanics, but it becomes easy to overcome with time.
Level 1 and 2 Engravings
- Ether Predator requires some time to ramp up, however, it is the highest damage increase for any of our level one options.
Check out the Engraving Guide for more details.
Bracelet
Bracelets provide beneficial effects to yourself or to your party members depending on the rolls they have.
The primary goal is to get the main stats used by this build Specialization and Swiftness. After that, you should be aiming for Special Rolls to get more damage. Please note that this system is heavily reliant on RNG, and you should not expect to get much more beyond your main stats early on.
Optimal Bonus Rolls
Specialization
Swiftness
Circulate
Fervor
Hammer
Wedge
Alternative Bonus Rolls
Precise
Assail
Superiority
Weapon Power
Ambush

Check out the Bracelet Guide for more details.
Elixir
The recommended Elixir Set for this build is Critical.
Check out the Elixir Guide for more details and general stat recommendations.
Card Sets
Cards are an endgame system that helps maximize your character's damage. Here are the recommended card sets for this build.
- Deep Dive is used early on as it is fairly easy to obtain.
- Light of Salvation is the standard endgame option, but it can take a long time to acquire 30-piece Awakening.
- Kazeros's Legion Commanders is used as an alternative to Light of Salvation, in content where enemies have a weakness to Dark Damage.
Check out the Card Guide for more details on how to obtain cards and interact with them.
