Alternative Skills & Tips
Passives
Passives provide powerful effects that dictate the playstyle of a Class and its Masteries. Remember that you can allocate Passives on the first half of all Masteries regardless of the one you chose.
- Armour Clad grants Damage Reduction and is crucial for any Sentinel's survivability.
- Juggernaut, Abyssal Endurance and Holy Icon and Defiance provide tons of Resistances.
- Take Stalwart, Steel Aegis, Honour and Shield Wall for the Block Chance.
- Grab Valor and Reverence of Duality for their stats and additional Healing Effectiveness.
- The Flat Spell Damage granted by Heavenfire and Sanctuary Guardian are extremely powerful.
- Take Light of Rahyeh for the Movement Speed.
- A single point into Prayer Aegis is efficient as it provides Haste when you most need it.
Make sure to complete the Campaign to get all your Passive Points.
Gameplay
This Paladin uses Judgement to cast Consecrated Aura, a powerful DoT Spell that burns enemies while healing yourself and allies. Make sure you are familiar with enemy mechanics to know when to use your Support Skills to stay alive. Pay attention to their telegraphed attacks!

- Aim Javelin carefully, and release it to leave a Holy Trail behind and Buff your next Judgement.
- Cast Judgement creating a Consecrated Aura, damaging enemies while healing yourself and Allies.
- Immediately after, use Volatile Reversal to go back in time and gain all of your Mana back. When able, do so on top of enemies to maximize its Buffs and Damage multipliers.

Gear
Gearing in Last Epoch revolves around finding Items and then using the powerful Crafting System to enhance them. As long as an Item has Forging Potential left, players can upgrade or modify their Affixes up to Tier 5. However, the powerful Exalted Tier Affixes are drop only and can't be modified by players.
Using the correct Item Bases allows you to make use of their amazing Implicits, this is fundamental for gearing efficiently. Combine Implicits, Passives, Idols and Blessings to cap your Resistances and other defensive layers, while fitting as much Health related Affixes into your gear as possible. Plan ahead for your next upgrades and consider the final Blessings of your build while gearing. Finish up by farming Uniques with Legendary Potential and Sealing Affixes into Exalted Items to unleash all of your build's power!
Here are the Stat Goals for this build:
- Capped Resistances
- Capped Endurance
- 100% Reduced Bonus Damage Taken From Critical Strikes
- 3000 - 4000+ Health
- 1400+ Mana
- 1000%+ Increased Damage
- 100% Block Chance
- 2000+ Block Effectiveness
- 50% - 60%+ Armour
- 500% - 1000%+ Healing Effectiveness
- 40%+ Cooldown Recovery Speed
- 60%+ Movement Speed
Gear Progression
Milestone 1
Aim for good Item Bases with four valuable T5 Affixes. The defensive rolls on T5 Suffixes are very important at this stage as they can easily cap all your Resistances when combined with Item Implicits, Idols, Blessings or Passives. Get a good Crystal Wand as soon as possible.
Milestone 2
Make sure your Critical Strike Avoidance or Reduced Damage Taken from Crits is capped. Remember that Woven Flesh is always an option early on. Farm this by killing the Abomination in the Fall of the Outcast Monolith Timeline.
Milestone 3
Get an Ironglass Shield with T5 Block Chance as soon as possible. Fit as much Health into your gear as possible. Hybrid Health and Health are extremely valuable, but can be hard to find early on. Use regular flat Health until you find them.
Milestone 4
Aim for T5 Level of Judgement on your Relic to invest extra Points into its Tree. It provides a significant Damage increase.
Milestone 5
While you look for this basic set of gear, start farming your Empowered Blessings and look for any Idols that can help you cap all your Resistances momentarily or increase your Damage output. Your goal is to get 4 Adorned Rahyeh Idols with Increased Healing Effectiveness Prefix and Block Effectiveness or Health Suffixes. Your goal is to have items with 4 valuable T5 Affixes, also known as T20.
Milestone 1
Upgrade your T20 set up with Exalted items, high value Sealed Affixes or ideally both. Obtain the Affixes included in the Planner, but prioritize the indicated Item Bases for their Implicits. Make sure to Seal highly efficient low tier Affixes.
Milestone 2
Bulwark of the Last Abyss is very efficient at capping Block Chance assuming you can sustain the Health loss, which this build can easily thanks to its massive amount of Healing. Only use it if you manage to get Block Chance on it as Legendary.
Milestone 3
When all your core Defenses are covered, start working on your Damage. Get Mana, Mana, Elemental Damage Over Time and Increased Healing Effectiveness on your Prefixes to increase your DPS drastically.
Milestone 4
Hand of Judgement provides a significant Damage increase, thanks to Attunement and Fire Penetration. It is also easy to obtain with Legendary Potential.
Milestone 5
Be on the lookout for Exiled Mages inside Echos. Slay them to obtain their valuable items with Experimental Haste Effect and Experimental Armour applies to Damage over Time Experimental Affixes.
Milestone 6
As you finish up your Empowered Blessings keep a decent Health pool, Block Chance, capped Resistances, Endurance and Reduced Bonus Damage Taken from Crits.
Milestone 1
Continue upgrading your gear with T7Â Exalted items and begin farming all your Uniques with Legendary Potential. Look for Nemesis encounters in Echoes to add Legendary Potential or Legendary Affixes to any Unique with the Egg of the Forgotten.
Milestone 2
Look for Orian's Eye, a very rare world drop that provides a massive amount of maximum Mana, along with Damage Reduction. With this item, all Void Damage you take is converted to Fire, allowing you to ignore Void Resistance. If you manage to get a desired stat on it as Legendary, this Amulet is an insane addition to the build.
Milestone 3
Keep farming the build's Unique Items with at least one Legendary Potential.
Milestone 1
Keep upgrading your gear with Exalted Items with Sealed Affixes. Get every stat in the right place and on the correct Item Base. Min/Maxing your gear in Last Epoch can be pushed to the extreme as Items with multiple Exalted Affixes are technically possible.
Milestone 2
Get as close to perfect rolls for all your Empowered Blessings and find all of your Adorned Rahyeh Idols with Increased Healing Effectiveness Prefix and Block Effectiveness or Health Suffixes.
Milestone 3
Nihilis not only provides amazing Offensive and Defensive stats, but also Movement Speed! If you are lucky enough to obtain a well rolled one, this Unique can be amazing!
Milestone 4
If you manage to obtain a well rolled Code of an Erased Sentinel, the extra Skill Level is amazing to further increase Judgement's Damage.
Milestone 5
Keep farming until you get the maximum Legendary Potential you can find on all of your Uniques.
Milestone 6
Feel free to experiment with any crazy Unique, Legendary or Experimental Items that you might craft, trade or find! The possibilities are endless! Good luck with the chase!

Blessings
Completing a Timeline in the Monolith of Fate lets you choose one of several randomized Blessings from its unique pool. Their benefits are permanent and persist even outside of the Monolith of Fate.
Empowered Blessings are a fundamental part of all builds, so getting the correct ones for each is key.
The sooner you reach Empowered Monolith, the faster you can start farming your desired Blessings!
Normal Blessings are not important as they are eventually replaced by Empowered Blessings. However they can still be a great source of Resistances, Critical Strike Avoidance or Life Leech for your build early on.
Pick up these Normal Blessings on your way to Empowered:
- Hunger of the Void
- Light of the Moon
- Survival of Might
- Persistance of Will
- Bones of Eternity
- Embers of Immortality
- Body of Obsidian
Note: Don't target farm Normal Blessings. Get to Empowered Monolith as fast as you can.
Reaching Empowered Monolith unlocks all the level 100 Timelines and the ability to farm Empowered Blessings. Unlike Normal Blessings, these need to be farmed until you get the desired ones for your build. It is extremely important to get this set up as fast as possible to free up affix slots on your gear. Remember, the more value you get from your Blessings, the easier it is to craft efficient gear!
These are the core Combat Empowered Blessings for this build:
- Start with Grand Persistance of Will for the Resistance it provides.
- Continue with Grand Light of the Moon for the Mana, increasing your Damage significantly.
- Then, go with Grand Bones of Eternity. A high roll on this Empowered Blessing is eventually the goal, but you should move to the others and come back to farm an almost perfect one later on.
- Farm Grand Hunger of the Void for even more sustain.
- Finish up by farming the best rolled Grand Body of Obsidian you can get. It grants Flat Armour that helps increase the survivability of the build.
These Empowered Blessings are flexible and depend on your current needs and goals.
These are valuable Empowered Drop Rate Blessings for this build:
- Grand Mark of Agony is very valuable to help you find Adorned Rahyeh Idols with Increased Healing Effectiveness Prefix and Block Effectiveness or Health Suffixes.
- Once you find all your Idols, you can switch to the Grand Winds of Fortune and focus on Uniques, or Grand Scales of Greed for Gold.
- Grab Grand Slumber of Morditas to help you find more Relics or Grand Grip of the Lance to find more Gloves.
- Lastly take Grand Cruelty of Formosus to find more Wands.

Idols
Idols grant your character bonuses when equipped in the dedicated Idol Container. Unlock all the slots of your Idol Container by completing the Campaign and some of its Side Quests. Remember that some Idols are Class specific and you won't be able to equip them with other non-compatible Classes.
These are the Idols recommended for this build:
- Find 4 Adorned Rahyeh Idols with the Increased Healing Effectiveness Prefix and Block Effectiveness or Health Suffixes.
- Get 2 Small Lagonian Idols with Armour and Lightning Resistance.
- You also want 2 Small Lagonian Idols with Armour and Cold Resistance.
- You might need extra Resistances out of your Idols early on, so keep an eye out for anything useful until you get your final setup.
Other useful Idol Affixes
Make sure to complete the Campaign to get all your Idol Slots.

Build Scaling
This Paladin uses Judgement to release a Consecrated Aura that deals Fire Damage Over Time and heals allies. Scale your Healing Effectiveness, Mana and Fire Damage Over Time as much as possible. This build also has great survivability thanks to the multiple defensive layers it can take advantage of.
- Flat Spell Damage: With the amount of Damage Multipliers this build has access to, you want to stack as much Flat Damage as possible. Nodes like Heavenfire and Sanctuary Guardian grant raw Flat Spell Damage and are extremely valuable for DPS. Your Crystal Wand grants up to 60 Flat Spell Damage.
- Increased Healing Effectiveness: This stat grants Flat Spell Damage to Judgement's Consecrated Aura. Additionally, it improves the amount healed by your healing Skills. Consecrated Aura Heals for a base 50 Health per second, while Holy Trail Heals for a base 25 Health per second. With the total Healing Effectiveness this build can stack, the Heal can be scaled by more than 10 times.
- Mana: Judgement and therefore Consecrated Aura gains a Damage Multipler per Mana consumed from Pious Offering.
- Attunement: Judgement gains 4% Damage and 4% Healing Effectiveness per point of Attunement. This Stat also provides 2 Mana per point, further increasing Judgement's Damage thanks to Pious Offering.
- Cooldown Recovery Speed: Aim to reach 40% Increased Cooldown Recovery Speed to have full uptime on Consecrated Aura. Since you are reliant on Volatile Reversal's Cooldown, this stat is a must.
- Strength: Consecrated Aura gains 4% Increased Damage per point of Strength. Additionally, it grants 4% Armour per point, which adds a nice defensive layer for the build.
- Elemental Damage Over Time: This powerful Prefix has some of the highest numerical values of any offensive Affix in the game. It is this build's main source of Increased Damage, and is a priority when it comes to scaling this build's Increased Damage. Anything that increases Fire Damage Over Time is welcomed.
- Volatile Reversal: The Time Rifts and Harbinger of Dust Nodes apply a powerful stacking debuff on your enemies that makes them take additional Damage.
- Fire Penetration: Causes enemies to take extra Fire Damage. The Conviction Passive, Rahyeh's Fury from Holy Aura and Hand of Judgement grant a good amount.
- Level of Judgement: Get this Prefix on your Relic to invest more Points into its Skill Tree.
- Movement Speed: Reduces the reaction time needed to react from attacks. The faster you move, the faster you can get out of danger!
- Armour Clad: Grants Damage Reduction and is crucial for any Sentinel's survivability.
- Block Chance: Block is a defensive mechanic that grants a chance to reduce the Damage taken from Hits. Whenever you take a Hit, your Block Chance is rolled to determine if you Block the Hit. On a successful Block, a percentage of the Damage is mitigated. This build can have anywhere between 50% and 100% block. Grand Bones of Eternity helps reach these numbers, and Bulwark of the Last Abyss is an incredible Shield for the setup.
- Block Effectiveness: The percentage of Damage reduced on Block depends on how much Block Effectiveness you have. The percentage cannot exceed 85%. The Grand Bones of Eternity Blessing helps here as well. Additionally, Sentinels have access to the Block Effectiveness Suffix on their Idols.
- Endurance: It allows you to take up to 60% less Damage while below a certain Health threshold. Your base Endurance Threshold is equal to 20% of your total Health pool.
- Strength: Grants 4% Armour per point.
- Armour Mitigation: This setup can get insanely high Armour. Combine the Armour from your Item Implicits, Grand Body of Obsidian Blessing, and %Armour this build has, to reach 50% to 60%+ Mitigation. This is huge on top of all the other defensive layers the build has.
- DoT Mitigation: Combine the Implicits on your Gear and the Experimental Armour applies to Damage over Time Affix on your Gloves, and you have yourself a solid defensive layer against DoTs as well.
- Health: This build can stack a decent Health pool that can surpass the 4000 mark. Health is very effective when combined with all the other defensive layers.
- Increased Healing Effectiveness: This stat improves the amount healed by your healing Skills. Judgement's Consecrated Aura Heals for a base 50 Health per second, while Holy Trail triggered by Javelin Heals for a base 25 HP per second. With the total Healing Effectiveness this build can stack, the Heal can be scaled by more than 10 times. Additionally, this stat grants Flat Spell Damage to Consecrated Aura, as well as Holy Trail thanks to the Path of Judgement Node.
- Leech: Grand Hunger of the Void provides Leech for the build, further improving it's sustain.
- Ward & Health Gained on Block: The Shield Wall Passive, as well as Mighty Shield and Against The Odds from Holy Aura provide an extra layer of durability.
- Chill and Slow: Are Ailments that greatly reduce the Action and Movement Speed of your enemies. This build struggles to apply Slow and Chill as it doesn't hit often.
- Frailty: Enemies affected by this Ailment deal 6% less Damage (can stack 3 times).
- Ward and Ailment Cleansing on Potion Use: Cleanse all Ailments on Potion use.
