Heartseeker Marksman Guide
The Heartseeker Marksman uses Heartseeker, which seeks enemy targets and triggers a spectacular display of Fire and Cold Projectiles that cover the entire screen. Watch your enemies evaporate as they get blasted by your Attacks and Spells!
The build revolves around dealing Damage with Heartseeker and proccing an insane amount of Dragonfire from Dragonsong. Heartseeker also triggers Burning Dagger for even more craziness. This Marksman has incredible mobility and utility thanks to Shift, Smoke Bomb, Shurikens and unspecialized Decoy.
This setup doesn't require any Unique to function. However, Dragonsong is crucial for the build. Additionally, Items like Mourningfrost, Peak of the Mountain and Ucenui's Sphere turn this build into an absolute powerhouse.
Overall this powerful Heartseeker Marksman is an amazing build that performs well in endgame. If you are looking for a ranged build with a fast, active and rewarding playstyle, this build is perfect for you!

Skills
Heartseeker
Heartseeker is your main Damage Skill. Convert it to Fire with Molten Arrowstorm and trigger Burning Daggers with Blades of the Pyre. At least two Points into Heartdrain are needed for Mana sustain when you have Blades of the Pyre allocated. Nimble Threads provides Recurve scaling based on your Dexterity.
- You can unspec Escape Tactics in Smoke Bomb if you prefer staying still while using it.
Blades of the Pyre consumes Mana. Make sure you have Mana Regeneration on your gear and Heartdrain allocated. The build functions perfectly even without Blades of the Pyre, so if you struggle with Mana, you can remove it until your gear improves.
Skills showcase extra Skill Points in case you find +Level of Skills that may not be included in the Planners.
Passives
- Draining Arrows and Perfect Aim are necessary for sustain, grab them as soon as possible.
- Sharpshooter and Death from Afar boost your Damage tremendously.
- Grab Master Archer for higher Recurve chance with Heartseeker.
Make sure to complete the Campaign to get all your Passive Points.
Gameplay
Skill Usage/Rotation
- Cast Smoke Bomb and stay inside of its fog to receive its buffs.
- Move quickly with Shift and proc Shurikens for their buffs.
- Spam Heartseeker and trigger tons of Dragonfire andBurning Daggers.
- If the Bladed Armor buff expires, use Shift or Shurikens again.
- When enemy density is high, use Decoy and redirect their aggro.
- Dragonfire and Burning Daggers continue dealing Damage even after you stop attacking. Stay on the move to increase your clear speed.
Bossing
- Take advantage of all your buffs and keep them active.
- Shift can save you from incoming Damage. Time it against dangerous telegraphed Boss attacks.
- Use Decoy to distract the Boss. Use this window to reposition and DPS.
- Make sure you always have at least one Silver Shroud active. Since Silver Shrouds last 10 seconds each, you can time Smoke Bomb and Covering Fire apart to make sure you always have one Silver Shroud active, or quickly recover them if they proc. If you do this properly you can always have this protection against Hits that can be Dodged, including some major Boss mechanics!
Gear, Idols & Blessings
- Dragonsong is your first priority. Craft it into a Legendary with Crit Chance and Bow Attack Speed for a huge boost to your DPS.
- Peak of the Mountain provides a ton of Crit Chance. This build relies on Health on Hit, so disabling Leech has no impact on sustain.
- Stack Dexterity with Mourningfrost to maximize the Damage, while keeping your Cold and Physical Resistances capped.
- Ucenui's Sphere provides a huge amount of Increased Cold Damage. Keep your Attunement and Intelligence equal to maximize the potency of this item.
- Pearls of the Swine is used for its Resistances and Attributes. Nihilis and Omnis are good alternatives for the Amulet slot.
- Red Ring of Atlaria is usable even if you don't meet the threshold of 180 total Attributes. Combine this Ring with Ravenous Void to significantly increase your tankiness.
- Brewmaster's Buckle is a great Belt for survivability. Farm it from the Grand Brewery Woven Echo.
- CLICK the Planner for Skills.
- This variant sacrifices a substantial amount of DPS for longer range with Reign of Winter and its Icicles. It also triggers Puncture thanks to Straight Through, which helps with map clear.
- Make sure you have a Legendary Reign of Winter with Crit Chance and Bow Attack Speed before playing this Variant.
- Dark Quiver provides buffs and is automatically triggered with Until Dawn and Returning Darkness. Grab Nightfall and Crimson Quiver for their defensive perks and Quick Draw for the amazing Frenzy buff. You don't need to cast this Skill manually.

FAQ & Mechanics
Once a guide is released, many players have questions on why and how we are approaching certain choices. In this section you can find the answers to the questions that have been asked the most.
It is a common world drop. Check the tooltip of Dragonsong to see where you can target farm it. You can also use Rune of Ascendance on Bows to have a chance of getting it.
The build stacks a lot of Flat Cold Damage with Mourningfrost and for this reason Ucenui's Sphere is the Relic of choice. Pillager's Gold provides less DPS, even when paired with The Scavenger, and you lose the Resistances from Ucenui's Sphere.
This build deals Spell, Bow and Throwing Damage all at once. It inflicts both Fire and Cold Damage. Mourningfrost adds Flat Cold Damage to all Attacks and Spells, even those with only a Fire tag. Dragonfang in Heartseeker provides additional Flat Fire Damage.
- Heartseeker deals Bow Damage.
- Dragonfire from Dragonsong deals Spell Damage.
- Burning Dagger deals Throwing Damage.
