- Maintain the buffs from Shield Throw.
- Use unspecialized Lunge to move across the map.
- Activate Holy Aura for its buffs and extra Damage.
Bossing
- Take advantage of all your buffs and keep them active.
- You can use unspecialized Rebuke in place of Lunge to tank dangerous Boss abilities.
- Activating Holy Aura will Cleanse ailments with Purification.
Gear, Idols & Blessings
- Get Throwing Damage, Throwing Damage and Reduced Mana Cost and Throwing Attack Speed in every possible gear slot.
- Sierpin's Fractal Tree allows Javelin to split when it hits an enemy, increasing the AoE. It drops from the Exiled Mages.
- Razorfall provides +2 to Javelin and speeds up the build considerably.
- Get Throwing Damage and Reduced Mana Cost on your Rings to scale your Damage and to reduce the Mana cost of Javelin. Flames of Midnight is used for its Swiftness buff, which grants 20% Increased Movement Speed at Level 100. If you don't mind losing your Evade, use Carcinization of Momentum instead.
- Twisted Heart of Uhkeiros provides %Health and Strength. Only use it as a Legendary with Level of Javelin crafted on it.
- Li'raka's Claws are amazing for Damage. Only use them with Legendary Potential.
- Aurora's Time Glass and Nihilis are great options for the Amulet slot. If you don't have the Grand Wrath of Rahyeh Blessing, use Bleeding Heart.
- CLICK the Planner for Passives and Skills.
- This variant specializes Forgemaster's Might to become very tanky with a Shield. Compared to Paladin, its DPS output is much lower, because in addition to the downside of Forgemaster's Might, it also loses the Paladin mastery bonus and Holy Aura. Additionally, it cannot gain Movement Speed from Haste.
- Specialize Ring Of Shields for its buffs to Block Effectiveness and Block Chance. Use Mantle of the Pale Ox to redirect up to 24% of the Damage you take to Ring Of Shields.
