Skill Gems

Ensure your skill gems are of the right quality (normal, anomalous, divergent or phantasmal).

Cast when Damage Taken Support MUST Be Level 1!

Ignite Vortex Elementalist

Skill Breakdown

Ignite Vortex

  • Vortex - Your primary Skill, creates a Cold explosion underneath your feet that deals Cold DoT for a duration.
  • Awakened Swift Affliction Support - Major damage boost at the cost of some Skill Effect Duration.
  • Awakened Unbound Ailments Support - Increases the damage and effect of non-damaging Ailments.
  • Empower Support - Major damage boost through the addition of Levels to the Main active Skill Gem.
  • Cruelty Support - Major boost in damage over time, scaled off of the Hit of the ability.
  • Cold to Fire Support - Converts some Cold Damage to Fire Damage. Also Gain 29% of Cold Damage as Extra Fire Damage.

Auras

Core Auras

  • Determination - Scales your Physical Damage Reduction.
  • Grace - Scales your evasion stat giving you a much higher chance of avoiding Attack based damage.
  • Enlighten Support - Linked to all core Auras to allow for activation of Blood and Sand and higher Anomalous Precision levels.
  • Petrified Blood - Mitigates some Hit damage by taking a portion of the Hit Damage over the next 4 Seconds. Must use a Life Flask to raise health above 50%.

Secondary Auras

  • Defiance Banner - Provides additional Armour and Evasion Rating.
  • Malevolence - Provides Damage and increased Skill Effect duration.
  • Divine Blessing Support Supports permanent Auras, changing their reservation to a cost and making them temporary. Link this to Malevolence.
  • Vitality - Provides Life Regeneration.
  • Arrogance Support - Supports non-blessing Auras to reserve Life.

Utility

Mobility

  • Frostblink - Is a movement spell that causes the player to teleport to a target location. Can be swapped with Flame Dash based on preference. Use it to quickly hop forwards after a Shield Charge.
  • Shield Charge - Your primary form of mobility, use it in combination with running for maximum clear speed.
  • Faster Attacks Support - Enhances the Attack Speed of Shield Charge increasing clear speed.

Defence

  • Cast when Damage Taken Support - Automatically triggers the primary skill gem when taking a hit. Lower levels of Cast When Damage Taken require less damage to trigger (Use Level 6 for this build).
  • Molten Shell - Provides an immense absorption shield based on your armour for a short duration. Molten Shell will trigger when taking damage to grant you mitigation when you need it most (Use level 13 for this build).

Offence

  • Arcanist Brand - Automatically casts linked Spells to the attached target.
  • Elemental Weakness - Is a Curse that reduces enemies Elemental Resistances.
  • Flame Surge - Creates a burning ground upon hitting an Ignited enemy, dealing damage based on the damage of the Ignite.

Passive Tree Progression

Jewel Locations

Certain Jewels require specific placement on the passive tree, you can find these locations below.

Cluster Jewel 1

The Jewel Socket on the edge of the passive tree Near Eldritch Battery should be allocated with your Large Cluster Jewel.

The Jewel Socket on the edge of the passive tree Near Elemental Overload should be allocated with your Large Cluster Jewel.

Efficient Training

The Jewel Socket above Witch's start is to be socketed with Efficient Training which will turn Intelligence within Radius into Strength.

All Other Jewels

Place the following Jewels in your Large Cluster Jewel's Sockets:

  • Bloodnotch
  • Watcher's Eye
  • Immutable Force
  • Your Rare Jewel with Immunity to Corrupted Blood, and Lightning Resistance.
