Abomination Necromancer Guide
The sound of crushing bones and the smell of rotten meat eclipse the atmosphere from miles away. If you see it... you are already dead. This profane Abomination raises from the corpses of an entire army to assemble into the most destructive creation of the occult. A Physical construct of flesh and bone capable of crushing steel. A titan of everything forbidden. Your worst nightmare.
This build is quite complex and has two very different Variants. The written portion of this guide focuses on the Mapping Variant and includes all the details of the Pinnacle Boss Variant in the FAQ and the Build Planner. Consume different Minion types depending on the Variant and infuse your Abomination with additional power by applying Dread Shade and Infernal Shade to it.
This setup doesn't require any Unique items to function. However Items like Death Rattle, Inheritance of the Erased, Aaron's Will, Vessel of Strife, Bulwark of the Last Abyss and Scales of Lemniscate take the build to the next level, especially when Snapshotting.
Overall, this Necromancer is an unbalanced powerhouse that can't be ignored. The build is slow and tedious to set up but its strength makes up for it if you can endure the summoning process, especially if you decide to fully Snapshot it for maximum craziness. If you are one with a twisted mind, and this one sounds appealing, this is the perfect build for you!
This build assumes the use of Snapshotting for Minions to maximize their Damage and Tankiness. While Snapshotting is not required to play the build, it greatly enhances their performance by using the Stats available at the time they are summoned. If you choose not to Snapshot, the build will still function, but your Minion's damage and your personal survivability will be below their full potential. Check out the FAQ section for more details about Snapshotting.

- Death Rattle provides tons of Minion Critical Strike Multiplier.
- Mark for Death: This Ailment reduces All Enemy Resistances by 25%, causing them to take extra Damage. Get it from Large Immortal Idols with Minion Chance To Apply Mark For Death On Hit.

- Recovery is based on Health Regeneration. Until you have Vessel of Strife, tankiness isn't excellent as you rely on its Ward. Prioritize a comfortable amount of Health, Health Regeneration, and keep an eye out for Preserving Minor Weaver Idols of Respite. Use Vessel of Strife as soon as you can.
- Red Rings of Atlaria are amazing since you easily reach the Attributes requirements. They help immensely with Resistances gearing and grant Damage Reduction.

FAQ & Mechanics
Once a guide is released, many players have questions on why and how we are approaching certain choices. In this section you can find the answers to the questions that have been asked the most.
Snapshotting refers to summoning a Minion while wearing Gear and Idols that boost its Stats, then swapping to different Gear without affecting that Minion’s performance. Minions retain the Stats they had at the moment they were summoned, including bonuses from Attributes, Minion Health, Minion Regen, etc.
This means you can gear purely for Minion defense or offense, summon the Minion, and then switch to gear that benefits your main skills or survivability.
When does Snapshotting reset?
Snapshotting lasts until the Minion dies or is automatically resummoned. This typically happens when entering a new zone. However, in Monoliths, all Echoes are considered a single zone, so you only need to Snapshot once as long as you stay in the Monolith.
Minions are resummoned when allocating points in their Skill Tree. Care when you swap gear with + Levels of Skills.
Is it necessary?
No, but it offers an insane DPS and survivability boost to your Abomination.
Phase 1: Minion Snapshotting

- Specialize the Skills as shown in the Snapshot Bossing Gear Planner.
- Equip the Items from the Snapshot Bossing Gear Planner.

- Summon Abomination far away so it doesn't consume any other Minion.
- Walk with Eterra's Path until you proc at least 3 Vines.

- Specialize the Skills as shown in the Bossing Skill Snapshotting Planner.
- Apply Dread Shade to your Abomination.

- Attach Infernal Shade to your Abomination.
- Take Infernal Shade from your Action Bar to avoid refreshing it by a misclick.
Phase 3: Final Setup
- Unspecialize Infernal Shade and specialize Bone Curse.
- While in combat, apply Bone Curse to Abomination when its buffs expire.
- Equip the items on your Endgame Gear Planner. Time to fight!
