If you want to play melee, and enjoy the Boneshatter experience, you'll have even more options with the brand new Trauma Support Gem. This gem allows your Strike skills to generate Trauma, enhancing their damage and causing them to damage you.
Trauma Support
During the ExileCon 2023 Keynote, GGG announced 14 new Support Gems coming with Trial of the Ancestors, for some of the gems they already teased check out or Trial of the Ancestors post. But today they revealed the brand new Trauma Support!
Trauma Support supports Strike Skills, allowing them to scale damage like Boneshatter. Be careful though, if you build up more Trauma stacks than you can handle, it won't be the enemies' bones you'll be shattering! ~Grinding Gear Games Community Team
This works similarly to Boneshatter, supported Skills build Trauma when you Attack, dealing added Physical Damage per Trauma. But you take Physical Damage when you Attack, scaling with your number of stacks and gem level. So if you like living on the edge that's where the new Trauma Support Skill Gem comes in. Trauma Supports Strike Skills, and can only be used with Axes, Maces, Sceptres or Staves! If you want to brush up on your fragmentation of osseus matter, check out our Bonezone Slayer Guide.
