The Phantasmal SparkOccultist is an endgame all rounder capable of taking on the toughest content in the game. Thanks to Profane Bloom explode chains it is able to provide satisfying clear unmatched by any other Ascendancy. Phantasmal Spark mechanically behaves exceptionally well in smaller arenas, as the projectiles bounce around, hitting a single target multiple times per cast.

PhantasmalSpark launches sparks that move in random directions until they hit an enemy or ricochet off of terrain. Spark duration determines how long projectiles persist and is increased by modifiers to Skill Effect Duration. When the sparks hit an enemy they are absorbed, therefore pierce is essential for both clear and single target.
Ascendancy Breakdown
The Occultist is the best choice for Poison PhantasmalSpark as it provides explosions for great clear, and an additional curse. It also gives an easy way to cap your Chaos Resistance whilst reducing enemies resistances and additional free applications of Wither stacks for even more damage.
- Profane Bloom causes your curses to have a chance to consume the corpses of your enemies, triggering explosions dealing a quarter of their Maximum Life to nearby enemies.
- Void Beacon gives nearby enemies -20% to Chaos Resistance and prevents them from regenerating Life.
- Withering Presence applies a Wither stack to nearby enemies for every second you are near them, gives you +60% to Chaos Resistance, and makes you deal 15% more Chaos Damage.
- Malediction allows you to inflict an additional Curse on enemies.
