This Guardian guide assumes you know the basics of a Guardian Raid. Take a look at the General Guardian Raid Guide to learn more.

Raid Mechanics

Raid mechanics cover the passive mechanics that are persistent through the entire raid.

Stagger Check
Grab Stagger

This pattern occurs based on boss' HP.

Telegraph

  1. The Guardian burrows into the ground and then reappears, in the center.
  2. Boss repeats a specific attack sequence up to 3 times.
  3. A stagger bar appears below the boss after the first Just Guard pattern.
  4. Players get a strengthening buff for 30 seconds, which greatly increases attack/movement speed, and reduces skill cooldown.

What to do

  1. Don't stand in the center to avoid getting hit by the resurfacing attack.
  2. Thunder strike on 2 random players: Dodge as soon as the red telegraph appears below you.
  3. Deplete the stagger bar while dodging the following attack sequence. Use Whirlwind Grenade.
    1. Just Guard: Use guard, once Skolakia starts moving its claws upwards. Use Sacred Charm to liberate players, who failed to guard.
    2. Front Laser: Don't stay in front of the Guardian.
    3. Back Laser: Avoid standing behind it.
    4. Donut Attack: Stand in the ring-shaped safe zone.

Upon successful stagger, a portion of your Hyper Awakening bar is filled and the strengthening buff gets refreshed. Use your Hyper Awakening while you still have the buff. If your party has high DPS, keep your Hyper Awakening for the Grab Stagger pattern.

In case you fail to stagger, the guardian deals high damage to everyone and gets enhanced patters. During this phase, getting hit by electric patterns marks the player with an electric icon above the head for 5 seconds. A thunder strike appears on the player after 5 seconds or if the player uses a skill during that time. Move away if you are marked to place the thunder strike away from your teammates.

This pattern occurs based once the guardian's HP is around 50% (Phase 2).

Telegraph

  1. The Guardian burrows into the ground and then reappears, in the center.
  2. Lightning strikes random spots around the guardian.
  3. Skolakia spins and attempts to grab players in a large area.
  4. After a brief delay, it spins again to grab everyone close to it.
  5. A stagger bar appears below the boss.

What to do

  • Don't stand in the center to avoid getting hit by the resurfacing attack.
  • Dodge the grab attacks.
  • Method 1: Move close to the boss to dodge the first grab. Afterward, move away from the boss to avoid the second grab attack.
  • Method 2: Use your Hyper Awakening when the guardian starts to move after finishing the small lightning strikes attack around it.
  • If someone got grabbed, deplete the stagger bar. Use Whirlwind Grenade.
    • If you fail to stagger, the boss slams the grabbed players multiple times towards the ground, and pierces the ground with the tip of his tail. Move to that spot to avoid the follow-up aoe attack.
    • Upon successful stagger, the guardian is staggered for a short duration. Additionally, a portion of your Hyper Awakening bar is filled, and you get the strengthening buff for 30 seconds. After recovering from the stagger, Skolakia slams its tail multiple times towards the ground, and pierces the ground with the tip of his tail. Move to that spot to avoid the follow-up aoe attack.
  • If no one got grabbed or upon successful stagger, a portion of your Hyper Awakening bar is filled and you get the strengthening buff for 30 seconds.

Guard and Counter Patterns

Double Jump
Tail Slam
Counter Charge
Zap Charge

Telegraph

  1. Skolakia lifts both of its claws for a brief moment and glows yellow.
  2. The guardian jumps once and electrocutes everyone close to it, who fails to guard.
  3. It jumps an additional time and knockdowns everyone further away from it.

What to do

  • Stand close and guard as soon as the guardian jumps.
    • If you are further away, make sure to close the gap after succeeding the guard.

Telegraph

  1. Occurs only in Phase 2 (below 50% HP).
  2. Skolakia flashes yellow and moves its tail quickly to the left and then right.
  3. The guardian leaps towards the air, spins, and then slams its tail towards the ground.
  4. If none succeeded the guard, it follows up with a big spin attack.

What to do

  • Use guard once the guardian points its tail towards the air, which happens right after it moved its tail to each side.

Telegraph

  1. Same as the counterable charge attack of Armored Nacrasena.

What to do

  • Use counter as soon as the guardian glows blue.

What to do

  • Occurs only in Phase 2 (below 50% HP).
  • If you get tracked, slowly rotate around the guardian to dodge the Zap attack.
    • In case of a 2nd Zap, you should change the direction after the first zap to avoid zapping other players.
  • Dodge towards its left or right to dodge the charge attack, or Counter it.

Grab Patterns

Claw Grab
Spin Grab

What to do

  • Move away from Skolakia's front, as soon as you see the guardian swing its claw towards the right side.

Double Leap
Backstep Shockwave
Claw Slam Attacks

What to do

  • Move away from the front or towards the back of the guardian to dodge the frontal shock waves.
    • Cleanse electrocuted party members who got hit by this attack.
  • If you are the target of the double leap follow-up attack, turn the guardian away from electrocuted players, and move away once the guardian stops tracking you.

What to do

  • Move away from the guardian's front as soon as it charges backwards.

Skolakia has several frontal attack patterns initiated by it raising both of its claws towards the air. In general, you can dodge all of these attacks by moving to its right or left.

Donut

  • In phase 1, the attack hits a small area in front of the guardian.
  • In phase 2, this attack additionally summons lightning strikes around the impact area.
    • Move either further away or dodge towards the impact area after the slam attack.

Wifi

  • In phase 1, a WiFi-shaped shockwave expands from the impact point.
  • In phase 2, the guardian causes multiple small explosions towards its front.
