Greatsword / Dagger Leveling Guide

Last Updated:October 13, 2024|Changelog

Welcome to the Greatsword / Dagger Leveling Guide. Greatsword / Dagger is the premier Melee Assassin of the game. While it may seem like a bruiser with passives like Robust Constitution and Vital Force that grant additional offensive stats based off your total HP, you can get the best of both worlds! Greatsword / Dagger can stack high amounts of Heavy Attack Chance, when procced your damage is doubled!

Leveling feels stiff early on because you don't have access to all your skills until about level 30 or higher. At level 30, you also gain access to Skill Specialization which lets you augment these skills to be even stronger!

Fresh 50 Greatsword / Dagger Leveling Build

To learn how to play this weapon combination Post 50, be sure to check out our PvP and PvE guides!

Pros
  • High Hit
  • High Heavy Attack
  • High Skill Damage Boost
Cons
  • Combo Oriented

Stats Priorities

  • Level 1 - 21
    • 20 Dexterity
  • Level 22 - 41
    • 20 Strength
  • Level 42 - 50
    • 10 Dexterity

You have 49 Stat Points you can freely allocate to any of the 4 primary Stats. Once you put 20 points into an individual Stat, it takes 2 points to increase the Stat by 1. Do not put more than 20 points into a Stat unless absolutely necessary.

The goal for leveling as Greatsword / Dagger would be to get the highest Weapon Damage, Attack Speed, and Critical Hit as much as possible. Dexterity is the main stat you want to increase in order to maximize your DPS in PvE. If you are planning to do PvP Content some Perception and Strength may be warranted to increase Hit Rate and HP.

Key Leveling Notes

  • Focus on the Main Story Quest as you level to 50.
    • If the Main Story Quest requires a higher level to continue, complete Exploration Codex Quests for additional EXP.
  • Before leaving Kastleton during Chapter 3, craft as much Green Gear as possible!
  • When your story quests introduce you to Resistance Contracts, be sure to choose ones that give Quality Lithograph: Accessories first!
  • Completing Rustic Mother Nature Rings early, grants the ability to use Lethal Fortune Ring while leveling.
  • If running out of Mana is an issue, use Block Blade against Fury Attacks to regain Mana more frequently.

Gear Progression

The leveling process has been made easier since the launch of the Korean version. It doesn't matter what armor you craft as long as you upgrade it. The following gear set is recommended so you can dabble in PvP as well. Don't fret, PvP is not mandatory at all.

Towards Chapter 3 you start to get quests to craft items. Before heading to Urstella Fields, make sure to craft all the Green Items possible. You should have 2 Green Weapons, 3 Green Armors, and atleast 2 Green Accessories. After Chapter 4 you have enough to craft the rest and have a full set of Green Gear.

Level 21: Add Victor's Morale.
