Wand / Longbow PvP Build Guide
Last Updated:February 4, 2025|Changelog
Welcome to the Wand / Longbow PvP healer build guide! This weapon combination has the most healing abilities in Throne and Liberty with access to powerful Healing over Time (HoT) skills such as Healing Touch, Flash Wave, Purifying Touch, and Nature's Blessing.
With Swift Healing, Fountain of Life, and Clay's Salvation on Wand, this build takes on Priest or Cleric-like support roles that allows you to constantly heals unlike any other healer weapon combination in the game.
As exciting as it sounds to play this Wand / Longbow PvP build, players must keep in mind that you struggle with a lack of mobility which you notice more during small scale fights. This weapon combination has an easier time during mass PvP because you can position yourself safely within your zerg to greatly reduce the chances of being ambushed by a melee player. Despite this weapon combination's lack of mobility, you are still pretty tanky thanks to your passives, Distorted Sanctuary and Devoted Shield (no cooldown) that pair perfectly with active abilities like Invincible Wall and Blessed Barrier.
Besides smart ability usage and rotation, you need good positioning and field awareness to be an effective Wand / Longbow healer. Make sure to always pan your camera so you know what is going on around you and who may be potentially coming at you. With practice, you will become a difficult healer to kill vs most DPS players other than Greatsword / Dagger users who tend to be a challenge to fight against.

PvP Gear Progression
Acquiring Gear pieces and upgrading them is incredibly expensive and time-consuming. If you enjoy both PvE and PvP content, use these sets for PvE as well.
If you're interested in PvE Gear Progression, check out our Wand / Longbow PvE Build Guide here!
Attack Runes
- Heavy Attack Chance in both weapons and your bracelet to increase the Heavy Chance of your Wand and Longbow heals, as well as Invincible Wall.
- Hit Chance in your necklace and belt as there aren't any good options in these slots.
- Critical Hit Chance in your rings to slightly increase the Critical Hit Chance of your Wand heals or Invincible Wall. Your Longbow heals can't Crit.
Defensive and Support Runes
Defensive Runes are interchangeable depending on the build you're using and what your server meta is like.
For Melee Evasion builds:
- Use Melee Evasion Runes if Melee on your server stack higher Hit.
- Use Max Health Runes if the Melee Evasion you can naturally build through gear is high enough to be effective in PvP.
For Endurance builds:
- Use Melee Endurance Runes if there are more Spear users on your server.
- Use Ranged Endurance Runes if there are more Longbow and Xbow users on your server.
- Use Max Health Runes if the natural Endurances you can build through gear feels like enough to make you hard to kill in PvP.
For all builds:
- Use Skill Damage Resistance Runes on both your weapons, belt, and bracelet.
- The Rune Synergies you can achieve on your belt are lackluster. Thus, going triple Skill Damage Resistance Runes or Max Health Runes would make you more tanky in PvP. Doing the same on your bracelet is recommended.
Prioritize your [Rare Chaos Runes to replace Runes in this order:
- Attack Rune in Necklace (Hit doesn't benefit you as a Seeker in PvP, especially not at the low amounts they provide.)
- Attack Runes in Rings (Critical Hit Chance increases your Critical Healing by an extremely low amount. For example 750 Swift Heals with 669 Magic Crit results in only 9.5% of the heals landing as Crits.)
- Support Rune in Bracelet
- Belt Runes if you're not doing x3 SDR (but if you get a Chaos SDR while doing x3, slot that lucky stone in!)

Early Game Wand / Longbow PvP Build
Mid Game Wand / Longbow PvP Build
Trying to PvP with blues at this stage of the game is asking to get farmed, so the gear you use at this stage is flexible. You want to transition as fast as possible to your Mid Game build. This will let you stand somewhat of a chance against other players until you reach End Game gear.
Fully trait your blue gear before transferring over to purple gear. A fully traited blue piece will give you 960 Blessings for you to use. You can use a trash blue gear piece and fill it up with cheap traits before transferring it over to a purple piece in the same slot.
Transition Blues
- You don't see many blue accessories or a blue cloak here in these builds. That's because most of them are not worth using. Before transferring to a Purple piece, you can fully upgrade and trait out any trash blue accessory.
- If you want to skip directly to purple armor pieces and weapons, fully upgrade and trait out the cheapest blue you can find.
Your Goals
- You should do contracts immediately to acquire Contract Coins so you can buy Quality Lithograph: Weapons, Quality Lithograph: Armor, and Quality Lithograph: Accessories to craft Green Gear to complete Lithograph Book entries for Blue Gear.
- Farm accessible gear by doing Open World Dungeons.
- Trait those accessible gear.
- Extract traits from gear to sell in the Auction House for Lucent.
- Turn valuable gear into Lithographs and sell them in the Auction House.
Traits
- Trait this gear as best as you can. You don't need to go hard until you start acquiring Purple Gear.
- If transitioning to Purple Gear immediately, fill up a blue item with cheap traits before transferring.
Magic Evasion and Ranged Endurance
End Game Wand / Longbow PvP Build
- If you have Daybreak Shore Feast, use it.
- This build is strong in large scale fights such as Wars, Siege, Tax Cart, and Battlegrounds where it's easier to position yourself away from melee players and rely more on your raid for protection.
- In large scale fights, majority of your damage is primarily received from Longbow and Staff players casting long-ranged abilities, with crossbow divers secondary. Since these damage types are Magic and Range, a Magic and Ranged defensive build is stronger in large scale combat.
- The amount of Magic Evasion you want to aim for is 1,700, which allows you to counter the average amount of 900 to 1,200 Hit DPS Staff players achieve in T1 gear, especially against those not running Victorious Energy.
- Properly built ranged players will have 900 to 1,000 Hit making it difficult to run a proper Magic and Ranged Evasion build without Shadow Walker from Daggers.

- Choose this build if you want to play something more well-rounded and appropriate for any scale of PvP.
- Build Collision Resistance in this build to help with Knockdowns, Knockups, Knockbacks, and Pull abilities. Change Debuff Duration to Collision Resistance on your cape and bracelet. Take Song of Grace and remove Movement Speed.
- With Distorted Sanctuary, you achieve 1,430 Melee Endurance, 1,266 Ranged Endurance, and 1,196 Magic Endurance in a full party playing within range of your passive.

Skill Builds and Rotations
Swift Healing vs Healing Touch: These two abilities share a cooldown so it's recommended to prioritize the use of Swift Healing to ensure it's off cooldown when you need it. Swift Healing can be used to restore the health of targets much quicker than Healing Touch, and the remaining two casts of the ability can be used to heal outside of group or other party members, which you can't do in the same way with Healing Touch. Use the Healing Touch Specialization in Purifying Touch to enable the Nature's Blessing Healing Overtime combo that can restore over 18,000 to 20,000 health.
You still run Healing Touch for when you want to perform a double Nature's Blessing burst heal combo. This is performed by:
Target 1
- Purifying Touch
- Nature's Blessing
- Blitz
Target 2
- Healing Touch
- Nature's Blessing
Active Skills
Block Skills
- Both the Longbow and Wand blocks are beneficial for a Wand / Longbow healer.
- Use Chaotic Shield to gain access to an additional heal that also restores stamina to the target when Perfect Blocking Fury abilities.
- Both the standing and directional Perfect Blocks with Overtaker provide you with a mobility skill.
- The standing block also grants you a 410 Critical Hit buff for 5 seconds. The directional block guarantees your next skill Crits which works on your first cast of Swift Healing and Clay's Salvation.
Healing Skills
- Healing Touch and Swift Healing share a cooldown. However, Healing Touch is used for when you reset Nature's Blessing for a back-to-back Healing Touch + Nature's Blessing burst heal combo.
- Don't be afraid to use Fountain of Life to keep yourself alive. In many instances it is vital to survive when Knocked Down, or Prone.
- When using Nature's Blessing with the Vitality Specialization on targets with the buff from Healing Touch, Healing Touch on Purifying Touch, or Nature's Blessing, this skill fully heals most targets.
- Flash Wave is a very strong HoT, but also a strong offensive skill. Line up Flash Wave on your allies and enemies.
- Clay's Salvation removes a full stack of Debuffs from any party members hit.
Utility Skills
- Use Corrupted Magic Circle to easily build and maintain stacks of Full of Corruption, which increases your healing by an insane amount and provides additional Mana Regen.
- Target the skill on large clumps or where you group is planning a coordinated attacked. The Cooldown of Corrupted Magic Circle is about 15 seconds and lasts 5 seconds. The buff of Full of Corruption is 14 seconds, so you're waiting 2 seconds to use Corrupted Magic Circle again to build more stacks.
- Use Blitz to reset Flash Wave or Blessed Barrier.
- Use the single version of Invincible Wall because when it lands as a Critical Hit and/or Heavy Attack, it will provide a health shield with over 5 or 6k on average, which is more reliable to save someone's life. Abilities such as Fighting Spirit Barrier and Enchanting Time increase the amount of the shield.
- Use Purifying Touch to cleanse Stuns and Binds. It doesn't work against Collision and Prone CC. Debuffs cleansed by this ability will grant a stack of Healing Touch.
- Use Enchanting Time to buff a strong DPS allied player. Ensure you use this ability on allies who won't exceed 500 Skill Damage Boost as there are hard diminishing returns.
Passive Skills
- Devotion and Emptiness, Earth's Blessing, Saint's Oath, and Noble Revival increase your healing. Devotion and Emptiness also provides Cooldown Speed for your healing abilities during the day.
- Selfless Soul pairs really well with Fountain of Life, Clay's Salvation, Flash Wave, and Nature's Blessing to reach 5 stacks almost instantly.
- Wand/Longbow healers can achieve the highest possible Endurance in the game because of Distorted Sanctuary.
- Don't undervalue Devoted Shield. It provides a large health shield once you reach 30%. Invincible Wall overrides the shield so do not stack them.
- Sniper's Sense is used to increase your Critical Heal Chance. This passive synergizes well with the Range increase Specializations on your healing abilities.
Alternatives
- To use the AoE Sleep Spread Combo, take Radius Increased off of Clay's Salvation, and replace Enchanting Time with Karmic Haze, and remove Enhanced Mire to add Deep Sleep and Enhanced Nightmare.
- Tornado doesn't require much Hit to land on majority of players it hits due to it being a multi-hit ability. Use it to disrupt Crossbow users diving your backline and to support your ranged players in killing enemy players.
Active Skills
Block Skills
- No changes from the previous tab.
Healing Skills
- No changes from the previous tab.
Utility Skills
- Use Cursed Nightmare on Staff players running Mana draining abilities.
Passive Skills
- No changes from the previous tab.
Active Skills
Block Skills
- Use Chaotic Shield to spread Curse stacks to unlimited targets within a short radius around the target you Perfect Blocked.
Damage Skills
- Group a bunch of mobs and build three stacks of Touch of Despair before casting Corrupted Magic Circle into Curse Explosion.
Healing Skills
- Flash Wave is a very strong HoT, but also a strong offensive skill.
Utility Skills
- Cursed Nightmare is used to Sleep an enemy target who is trying to ambush you while farming or a teammate. Prioritize on ranged DPS and healers during fights. Use this ability to also spread Sleep to mobs and guarantee your Curse Explosion to land as a Critical Hit.
- Use Ensnaring Arrow against melee players and targets your group has decided to burst together.
Passive Skills
- Full of Corruption increases your healing and explosion combo damage.
- Wraith's Beckon increases your Curse Explosion combo damage.
- This build is to be mainly used for fun during Dynamic PvP Events you join alone where you want to hunt players and DPS instead of Supporting and Healing allies.
Skill Prioritization
- Use Quality Marind Ore to craft Quality Active Skill Growth Book and Quality Passive Skill Growth Book.
- Use Rare Marind Ore to craft Rare Active Skill Growth Book and Rare Passive Skill Growth Book.
- Prioritize getting all these skills to blue first before getting them to purple. These are universal skills you always use.
- Upgrade the rest of your skills as you play the game.
Guardians
Guardians are special transformations that add offensive or defensive buffs or attacks to your character for 30 seconds. These are the recommended Guardians for this class in both PvE and PvP situations.
- Lady Knight Kamarshea is the common healer Guardian. It helps as an emergency button to survive situations where you are overwhelmed by several players or caught in a CC chain.
Purification Stone
Use the Precious Purification Vigor Stone.
- In addition to cleansing CC (other than collision, petrification, and weaken similar to the others), it provides a powerful heal that is increased by your healing passives and buffs, including Blessed Barrier.
- The heal from the stone can Critical Heal.
- The heal from the stone is increased by the Extreme Ascension set bonus.
Summary
- The Wand / Longbow Healer in PvP is an overall fun mix of both healing and support skills.
- Wand / Longbow relies on having a good party and peels to ensure your survival against a coordinated multi-target ambush.
- This build has a unique mix of healing abilities and buffs and support abilities from Longbow that greatly improve your allies' combat effectiveness.
- The best Wand / Longbow players have great positioning in PvP, skill management, and incredible skill usage to save your party and counter ambush attacks to destroy enemies.
- Max Traits and proper gear improve your survivability as a Wand / Longbow healer.
