This Delirium Mirror farming guide covers the basics of farming Delirium Mirrors as well as how to maximize your rewards and profitability.

Adding Delirium to your map will spawn a Delirium Mirror in the area which when touched will blanket the area in fog for a limited time. While the fog is active special delirium monsters will spawn alongside interactable fungus which creates yet more monsters on contact. The mirror also adds a reward mechanic that drops loot in stages(thresholds) based on how many monsters you slay within the area. At the end of a delirium mirror based on your performance you will be awarded a loot explosion!

Delirium Mirrors are a popular way to acquire the exclusive Delirium Orb currency and cluster jewels which are always in demand. It is a fantastic way to earn currency.

Mechanics

When Farming Delirium Mirrors there are a number of key mechanics to watch out for to ensure you're achieving maximum rewards.

The Delirium Mirror - In Delirium maps you will encounter a mirror of delirium at the very beginning of the zone. Touching the mirror will be spawn fog temporarily that begins moving in a direction across the map, this is almost always in the direction of the Boss of the area. Moving outside the fog by over taking it or having it over take you will display a timer, move back within the fog before it ends or the mechanic will end with it.

Delirium Depth - As you follow the fog as it moves through the map you will gain a continually increasing item quantity bonus, monsters will also become harder the deeper you go. Your "depth" is based off of how far from the starting point of the delirium mirror you have travelled.

Delirium Fungus - When in delirium maps you will notice bundles of fungus within your maps, standing on these will spawn monsters which when slain will contribute to the delirium reward threshold. The further from the mirror spawn point you travel the more fungus will spawn.

Fog Management - When running delirium mirrors it is possible to halt the progression of the fog by activating specific league mechanics that require you to complete an objective in a fixed location. Legion, breach and abyss to name a few will all pause the fog while you are completing them.

Delirium Bosses - One of two Delirium bosses can very rarely appear in delirium mirrors (Kosis or Omniphobia) with a chance to drop rare or unique cluster jewels and Simulacrum Splinters.

Reward Thresholds - When you begin a delirium mirror you will have a single loot tile (displayed above xp bar), as you slay monsters and reach delirium reward thresholds you will receive additional tiles this happens every 2 thresholds. Cluster jewels and delirium orbs have increased drop chance based on the total number of tiles you have filled when the mirror ends. A map with loot tiles displaying 7/5/3/1 would be a total of 16, increasing this total number to 8/6/4/2 (20 total) would increase your delirium orb and cluster jewel drop rate.

Signature Rewards - Outside of the threshold rewards from loot tiles delirium consistently awards Simulacrum Splinters, Cluster jewels and Delirium Orbs selling all of these drops will make up the majority of your earnings from delirium.

How To Run It

The most efficient way to run delirium is to run as many delirium mirrors as fast as you can. It is beneficial to earn as many reward tiles per map as possible but never at the cost of speed. Running maps faster will earn you more loot tiles in the long run even if you are earning less tiles per map.

When running delirium ensure you do not outrun the fog and prematurely end it, complete all league mechanics on the way to extend its duration and ensure you can clear the full map under it's effects. Ensure you trample as much delirium fungus as possible to spawn more monsters.

Step 1 - Activate the delirium mirror

Step 2 - Slay all monsters within the map while also trampling delirium fungus

Step 3 - Complete all desired league mechanics for additional fog duration

Step 4 - Slay the boss and if all enemies are dead end the mirror and collect loot

Atlas Passives

Atlas passives are a massive boost to Delirium Mirrors and understanding which ones are worth taking is essential, refer to our review below.

That Which You SeekAdds base chance for a delirium mirror to spawn, if you are not using the delirium Kirac mod or Compass this node is essential.
Descent Into MadnessIncreases the difficulty of the mechanic significantly and grants additional simulacrum splinters, delirium fungus spawns and increased item quantity as a result. Optionally good if it does not slow you down.
The Singular EternitySlows the progression of fog substantially, allocate this node if the fog is overtaking you.
Delusions of PersecutionBoosts drops and spawn rate of delirium bosses but they are incredibly rare in delirium mirrors, this node is not bad but not insane as a result.
Compulsive HoarderIncreases the possible delirium reward tiles active on your map substantially. This node is mandatory.
PathologicalHaving maps drop with layers of delirium is essentially having a chance to drop delirium orbs! Unfortunately the layers applied to maps are random making them mostly worthless. This node is not usually taken in delirium strategies.
Paranoid FixationThis node and the small nodes both increase drops for the primary earners of this strategy delirium orbs and cluster jewels allocate all of them.
Imagined PursuitsAn essential node that will grant you 1 additional delirium reward threshold upon killing the boss.
Screaming WhispersA great node to pick up to increase your earnings from Simulacrum Splinters it is highly recommended.
Unending NightmareIs a special keystone that causes fog from Delirium Mirrors to never dissipate and disables Delirium Orbs plus Simulacrum Splinters from dropping. This keystone is only recommended for very specific magic find strategies.

Scaling Loot

Multipliers

Increased Item Quantity - The Delirium Mirror and its loot do not directly scale with increased item quantity but due to the large number of monsters spawned it is a great multiplier to your rewards.

Increased Item Rarity - Does not increase the rarity of Delirium specific rewards but will increase the rarity of standard drops from delirium monsters.

Increased Pack Size - Will multiply the amount of monsters present in the map allowing for higher and easier delirium reward thresholds.

Map Tier - Directly affects the quantity of simulacrum splinters dropped from enemies, the item level of cluster jewels and the rarity of rewards (such as scarabs) dropped by the delirium mirror.

Compasses

Delirium Rewards Fill 100% Faster - This compass adds significantly more loot tiles to your delirium mirror strategy however it is rare and expensive. The compass is almost always in demand by delirium orb farmers who get more value from it so generally it is not worth running while doing mirrors.

Additional Delirium Mirror - This compass can be used to guarentee the spawn of a delirium mirror making the strategy much more consistant use it if you can get your hands on it cheaply.

Kirac Modifier

Additional Delirium Mirror - In some leagues the map device will offer a "Kirac modifier" that adds a delirium mirror to the map for a modest chaos orb fee. This modifier can be used in place of the delirium mirror compass or strategies that rely on luck to encounter the mirror.

Map Choice

For maximum efficiency run Delirium Mirrors on maps that are fast for your build but that have a long map layout. Due to the depth scaling of the mirror moving further away from the starting point of the map will yield the best rewards.

Each map in the game has a hidden value that interacts with Delirium, this value determines how much progress each monster grants toward each delirium reward threshold. As a general rule maps with less monsters in them grant more progress. Normally these maps would be balanced around having less monsters that grant more progress but as you are able to add a large amount of monsters with league mechanics you can break this functionality in your favour.

Strand MapStrand - Has the highest hidden threshold multiplier in the game allowing for the easiest delirium rewards while also being an incredibly long and fast layout. This is the best delirium mirror map.
Caldera MapCaldera - Has one of the highest hidden threshold multipliers with a reasonably quick layout, it is also long map. Caldera however features portals that can make this map impossible to fully complete under delirium fog for slower builds.
Tropical Island MapTropical Island - A standard threshold multiplier map with one of the longest layouts in the game, a great choice if Strand is unavailable or you are unable to effectively run Caldera.
