Getting Your Base

To begin crafting Detonate Dead Boots, buy an Item Level 85+ pair of Fractured Tier 2+ Spell Suppress DEX/STR off of trade. These are the best bases to choose from:

Dragonscale Boots
Hydrascale Boots
Wyrmscale Boots

Tip: Use Perfect Fossils to increased the defences of the base.

Envy Essences

Use Deafening Essence of Envy until you see a Tier 2+ Maximum Life. This should only take around ~10 Essences on average.

If you don't have an open Suffix, use a Lesser Eldritch Ichor to apply Eater Dominance. Then, use an Eldritch Orb of Annulment to make room. If you remove the Chaos Resistance mod, go back to the previous step.

Adding a Veiled Mod

Benchcraft Suffixes Cannot be Changed then use a Veiled Orb. If you don't have any room on your Prefixes. Use a Greater Eldritch Ember to apply Exarch Dominance then use an Eldritch Orb of Annulment just like before to make room.

If your Maximum Life is removed you will need to go back to Step 2.

Unveiling

If the Orb adds a Veiled Prefix, benchcraft +(45-54) to maximum Mana then unveil Movement Speed. 100% chance to Avoid being Chilled, (25-30)% increased Movement Speed is the best option but other choices are fine for now but should be upgraded later on.

If the Orb adds a Veiled Suffix, unveil (33-40)% increased Effect of Non-Damaging Ailments. (71-80)% increased Damage with Non-Vaal Skills during Soul Gain Prevention is an option as well if you are Detonate Dead but ideally should be upgraded later on.

If none of these options are given to you, you will need to apply Exarch or Eater dominance and use an Eldritch Orb of Annulment to remove the veiled modifier you got before going back to the previous step. If you remove your Maximum Life or Chaos Resistance, go back to Step 2.

Implicits

To obtain the Drops Scorched Ground while moving, lasting 5 seconds Implicit, use Greater Eldritch Embers. The regular version is also fine but you will want to upgrade later since the duration is very low.

For your second implicit use Lesser or Greater Ichors until you see Ignites you inflict deal Damage 5-6% faster.

Finishing Up

To finish your Ignite Boots, benchcraft either a Prefix or a Suffix, depending on what you Unveiled earlier in Step 5. If you Unveiled Movement Speed, benchcraft 30% increased Effect of Non-Damaging Ailments. In the opposite situtation, benchcraft 100% chance to Avoid being Chilled, 20% increased Movement Speed.

Tip: if you still have an open Prefix, use an Exalted Orb for a chance at more Maximum Life.
