For more set related information, check out the Gear Set Guide.

After clearing the dungeon, you can pay gold to get additional loot. The recommended Combat Items are Elemental HP Potion, Time Stop Potion and Swiftness Robe.

Disclaimer: In this guide, we will only focus on the important core & general patterns of the boss. Basic attacks of him, which are easy to predict or deal low damage, won't be explained in detail.

It is important to make sure that everyone in the raid group is aware of the boss and coop mechanics. Additionally, item level is not as significant as having good Engravings and Combat Stat distribution as these provide the most damage increase which shorten the duration of the battle. A shorter battle leads to less damage taken and less consumable used.

This guide assumes that you are familiar with the recommended Raid Build for your class.

Main Patterns

Clone Rotation

Clone Rotation

At x120 HP, Vykas teleports to the center and splits into 3 shadow clones. Each shadow clone dashes towards a fixed position at the edge of the map, as shown below. Each shadow clone has a different amount of winged raised. It can have one, two or no wings raised. The variations are unique, but are randomly assigned to one of the 3 clones.

At the same time, as soon as Vykas splits into 3 shadow clones, 5 orbs spawn in a cross shaped pattern at the center. A player can consume one orb, which in return marks the player with a red or purple symbol above their head. It is important that all 5 orbs are consumed as fast as possible by 5 different players, to check if there are in total more red or purple symbols above those players heads.

If there are in total 3 Purple symbols, then run immediately as a group to the clone with no wings raised, and wait for the first shockwave. Afterwards, move towards the clone with 1 one wing raised, and wait for the second shockwave. Finally, run to the clone with both wings raised, to survive the last shockwave. The shockwave kills players who are not standing close to the correct shadow clone.

If there are in total 3 Red symbols, then run immediately as a group to the clone with two wings raised, and wait for the first shockwave. Afterwards, move towards the clone with 1 one wing raised, and wait for the second shockwave. Finally, run to the clone with no wings raised, to survive the last shockwave. The shockwave kills players who are not standing close to the correct shadow clone.

Make sure to assign 5 players to consume the orbs as soon as those spawn, and 1 player for each of the shadow clone location to scout the wing status. Communication is the key to survive this mechanic. The scouting 3 players can communicate via pings and guide everyone else to the correct clone.

General Patterns

Golden Discs

Golden Discs

Vykas summons multiple golden discs flying towards random players. Spread out, keep moving while dodging the disks. On hit, the discs stun the player and explode. Getting hit can cause a chain reaction and trigger multiple discs in a row.
