Last Updated:May 16, 2023

Aira's Oculus Introduction

Aira's Oculus is the first TIER 3 Abyssal Dungeon and you need to be at least 1325 Item Level to enter the normal mode and 1370 Item Level to enter the hard mode of this Abyssal Dungeon. This dungeon drops Tier 3 Accessories, Ability Stones, Engraving Books, Cards and materials to craft the sets Sunset Launcher and Chosen Launcher. After clearing the dungeon, you can pay gold to get additional loot. The recommended Combat Items are HP Potion, Taunting Scarecrow and Flame Grenade.

Disclaimer: In this guide, we will only focus on the important core mechanics and attacks of the hard mode bosses. The normal mode has similar but simpler mechanics compared to the hard mode.

This guide assumes that you are familiar with the recommended Raid Build for your class.

First Boss

Every time you incapacitate the boss by using Stagger Damage he gets an stacking attack buff. Once he gets the third stack, he deals an insane amount of damage and starts to use 1 shot skills. To prevent this, make sure to remove Stagger runes attached to your skills and avoid using skills with high Stagger Damage. Keep the buff at 2 or below. Upon reaching 2 stacks, use the Grab mechanic to reduce the stack.

Special Interactions & Patterns

Grab

Grab

After every 2nd Cardinal Flail Strike the boss uses this mechanic and attempts to grab someone in front him. Make sure that a player is always in front of the boss at the end of Cardinal Flail Strike. Once a player gets grabbed, the other 3 need to use skills and combat items with the Stagger Damage affix to incapacitate the boss. As a positive side effect, the boss loses one stack of his attack buff.

General Patterns

Cardinal Flail Strike

Cardinal Flail Strike

The boss swings the flail above his head and smashes it 4 times to the ground, striking each of the cardinal direction once. He finishes his combo with a high damage attack in front of him. Immediately after it, the Grab mechanic can follow.

The spots struck by the flail will be surrounded by a dark flame. If you come in contact with it, you get a debuff which increases the damage you take and also reduces the Stagger Damage you deal to the boss. This debuff can be useful for classes with high Stagger Damage and helps to avoid incapacitating the boss too fast.

Second Boss

This boss has a variety of skills which deal high damage in a huge area. On top of this he does faint/cheat attacks and changes the battle area upon reaching the 16th Hp bar (Phase 2) and 6th HP bar (Phase 3).

The boss heals over time if he is not affected by any damage over time (DoT) effects. Bleed is a great way to prevent the regeneration. If no one i the party has this rune make sure to use skills that deal DoT damage by debuffing the boss with various effects like burn or poison.

Special Interactions & Patterns

Love Bondage

Love Bondage

An attack that becomes available in Phase 2. The boss imprisons 3 players and the remaining player needs to quickly liberate them before an explosion occurs below them. This can be done by using mult-hit skills, the damage of the skills doesn't matter. Flame Grenade is a great Combat Item which can aid the player to free the imprisoned ones faster.

Shortly after succeeding the first part of this mechanic, the player who wasn't imprisoned previously will be the one imprisoned this time. The remaining players can liberate the player this time by using skills with high damage.

General Patterns

Kicking Balls

Kicking Balls

The boss targets a player and kicks a ball towards them in short intervals. The ball ricochets and changes its direction frequently, making it hard to dodge it. On hit, it deals heavy damage so try your best to dodge it. If you are targeted, make sure to turn the boss away from your teammates and towards a wall.
