Endgame Progression

Last Updated:April 19, 2025|Changelog

You finally reached level 60 and entered the Endgame Progression. With all the systems in place to help you progress your character towards Godmode power, guidance navigating through the endgame makes the process more efficient and less confusing. This Endgame Progression Guide assumes you are somewhat familiar with the various endgame activities and systems, but make sure to read the linked articles if you are uncertain. Let's get into it!

End Prog

How to Navigate this Guide

Endgame Progression

The Guide will use Pit tiers as a measuring stick to determine when your character is strong enough to progress to the next step of the guide. This is by design, as the Guide should be usable for anyone playing any build, but you may need to do steps earlier to progress through the endgame. As a reminder, the Pit tiers translate to the following difficulties:

DifficultyPit Level
Torment 110 - 24
Torment 225 - 39
Torment 340 - 54
Torment 455+

Outliers do exist that allow you to skip a lot of the progression that other builds do not have to deal with. This article is a guideline on how a blaster progresses through the Torment levels as quickly as possible.

General Farming Activities

The following list is what we refer to in this guide as General Farming Activities. These are activities especially effective for enhancing specific parts of your character.

  • Paragon Experience: Whatever Pit Level you can complete efficiently (sub 3 min)
  • Glyphs: The highest level of The Pit you can complete
  • Gold: Tree of Whispers
  • Legendary Aspects: Kurast Undercity
  • Specific Uniques/Mythic Uniques: Boss Lair or Infernal Hordes, depending on the Unique.
    • You can get more Boss Lair Keys from various sources. See our Optimal Farming Guide for details on where you can farm them efficiently.
  • Masterworking Materials: Nightmare Dungeons/Infernal Hordes or the Kurast Undercity with Tribute of Harmony
  • Boss Power: Farm the Seasonal Mechanic currency Spectral Ash from the Apparition Incursion to upgrade your Boss Powers.

After hitting level 60

Endgame Progression

Once you hit level 60, you should aim to finish Season Journey challenges to gain access to easy gear and Boss Lair Keys. Based on previous seasons, you can often finish up to Chapter 4 by this point in your progression. Once you have done this, head to the Pit in Cerrigar and progress to at least Pit level 10 to unlock Torment 1. Make sure to follow our Endgame Build Guides and select the corresponding Starter variant to begin your journey.

Early Endgame

Pit 10+

This section starts when you have entered Torment 1, meaning you can clear Pit level 10. Getting into Torment 1 unlocks plenty of options, and the following order is an efficient way to progress quickly through the Torment levels. Keep in mind that Armor and Resistance penalties grow harsher as you climb the Torment difficulty tiers. If you are feeling too squishy, boost your defenses with Raheir, Elixirs, and Incenses.

  • Check our Endgame Build Guides and do Apparition Incursions and/or kill bosses that give you the most vital Boss Power(s) from the Seasonal Mechanic.
  • If you haven't done so already, collect Codex aspects that are build empowering as a priority.
    • For example, core aspects like Bladedancer's if you haven't been lucky enough to get them while leveling. You can find a list of mandatory or nice-to-have elements of your build in our leveling build guides.
  • Collect Tempering Manuals (use Rare tempers if needed) and use on 750 item power gear.
  • Finish all Season Journey objectives ASAP to rush items from them up until Chapter 4.
  • Use Boss Lair keys from the Season Journey to acquire the Unique pieces you need for the Ancestral/Mythic versions of the build.
    • Focus only on Bosses with the relevant Uniques, saving leftover materials for later use. If possible, find players in the community to group up with to get more loot. Some Unique items are more likely to be found in Infernal Hordes. This may catapult you into T3+, so follow the guide accordingly.
  • Level relevant Glyphs to level 15 for the extra range on the Paragon Board and an additional multiplier.
  • Begin collecting and upgrading to Ancestral Gear through various activities or by gambling Obols. In particular, Ancestral Weapons provide a huge spike in power. Temper these items instantly, but don't bother with Masterworking yet.
  • Farm Spectral Ash in Apparition Incursions to upgrade your Boss Powers.

If you are too weak to do Pit 40+

  • Do Nightmare Dungeons (or Infernal Hordes & the Kurast Undercity with Tribute of Harmony) to Masterwork everything to rank 4.
    • Focus on the item you are keeping for the longest time first and leave out items you want to replace.
    • If you have been lucky to get a Legendary item with a good Skill/Passive, you should Masterwork it to rank 7 if you do not Masterwork Crit the Skill/Passive on the first attempt for a cheap skill rank upgrade.
  • General Farming Activities for target farming.

Mid Endgame

Pit 40+

This part of your Endgame Progression begins when you have entered Torment 3 at a minimum, meaning you can clear the Pit level 40+. Getting into Torment 3+ unlocks more efficient material farming, more loot from the Boss Lairs, and a higher chance of Ancestral items.

  • Get your main Glyph(s) to 46 for the Legendary Bonus and another radius increase. This is likely almost done from just progressing to this part. Make sure to follow the Paragon Glyph leveling order in your build guide.
  • Form a Party for the extra drop per kill, and start farming the Boss Ladder for your build-defining Mythic Unique items.
    • If you get lucky and obtain an early Resplendent Spark (or a Mythic Unique you do not need), kill Uber Lilith and trade for the Runes required to Craft the Mythic Unique item you need.

If you are too weak to do Pit 55+

  • Masterwork items to rank 8+.
    • Prioritize high-value items like weapons, items with correct Passive / Skill ranks, or items with generally good stats for your build. Check the stat priority section in the build guide. Remember to look for the Cheap Upgrades.
  • If you have not finished it, farm the Pit to get your build's remaining Glyphs to level 46 minimum. Ideally, the clears should last a maximum of 5 minutes to stay efficient.
  • General Farming Activities for target farming.

It is not always the most efficient thing to brute force your way through Torment 4 when you are not ready yet. Farming the General Activities listed above in Torment 3 is far more efficient than struggling to complete those in Torment 4. Only swap to Torment 4 once you can do the Pit level 55+ efficiently.

!
Resistance and Armor Penalty

Climbing the Torment levels comes with a resistance and armor penalty. Make sure your character is durable enough to survive the highest Torment levels.

Late Endgame

Pit 55+

The final part of your Endgame Progression begins when you can efficiently farm the Pit level 55+. Getting into Torment 4 unlocks even more efficient material farming, loot from the Boss Lair, and an even higher chance of Ancestral items.

  • Continue working on your Boss Powers and Season Journey.
  • Farm Resplendent Spark/Mythic Uniques in Boss Lairs for the Mythic variant of our build guides.
  • Masterworking items to rank 12. Prioritize high-value items like weapons and passive / skill rank. Remember to look for the Cheap Upgrades.
  • General Farming Activities for target farming.

Summary

  • The Endgame Progression is often not linear and depends on what you lack to continue your journey.
  • The General Farming Activities section highlights the most efficient ways of enhancing key parts of your character. Focus on these based on what your character needs most.
  • It is often more efficient to farm in a lower Torment difficulty, where enemies die faster, rather than push into higher tiers that take more time and effort to clear.
