One Shot Rogue Build Guide
This build is archived and currently not getting updated. Keep in mind the patches following the last update in the changelog when using this setup.
Welcome to the One Shot Rogue Specialized Build Guide! The purpose of this build is to one-shot every Boss in the game, including Uber and Tormented Bosses! This build excels at that, but should not be used outside of that. So if you like a big Kamehame-Ha using Rapid Fire, this is the build for you. The Gear, Skills, Paragon Board, "Seasonal Content" and Gameplay setup are unique to this build and require a strong understanding of the class to pilot it properly!
Our Specialized Builds are lategame builds with specific requirements and purposes. In order to play them, you are expected to have a level 100 character and all of the listed items available. To get there, we recommend you use one of our existing lvl 50-100 Endgame Build Guides.
Paragon
Look below for the selected Paragon Boards, Paragon point allocation, and the correct Glyphs you should use for the One Shot Rogue. Note: The Paragon Boards below are the final setup with no steps.
Level 21 Glyphs required: Ambush, Canny, Combat, Control, Efficacy
Season 4 - Loot Reborn
In Season 4, the Season Theme revolves around helping out the Iron Wolves. Compared to past themes, this one does not offer any borrowed power as the entire game has been redesigned with new itemization and crafting options, increasing player power substantially across the board. Instead, you can gather reputation similar to the Vampire Bounty Board from Season 2 to unlock rewards that supercharge your leveling journey to 100 with extra items, crafting materials and eventually even a Resplendent Spark to craft an uber unique.
We recommend to follow the seasonal questline until you unlock the reputation system, check which rewards suit you most and then follow your regular leveling path. To learn more, check out our full Season 4 guide for more information.
Gameplay
The One Shot Rogue rotation is quite intricate and requires precise execution of the necessary steps. If you don't execute all of the steps properly, your damage will likely take a nosedive. So follow the 10-step guideline below to Kamehame-Ha properly. To further boost the combo, you can drink an Elixir of Resource II
- Spam Rapid Fire to stack Banished Lord's Talisman to 275 before spawning the boss.
- Prepare aligning Aspect of Elements to be on Cold when you stagger the boss.
- This may require doing a fight a few times to figure out the correct spawn timing.
- If the boss is staggered during Physical, do not use Cold Imbuement.
- Spam Puncture to trigger your Lucky Hit Chance to X effects for a quick stagger.
- This will incidentially give you necessary stacks:
- 4 Precision stacks
- 3 Combo Points
- 3 Expectant stacks
- 15 Exploit Weakness stacks
- This will incidentially give you necessary stacks:
- Drop Caltrops on the boss around 3 seconds before the stagger.
- This also activates Ambush and Deadly Ambush.
- Use Dash on the boss twice while walking around 3m in between to:
- Activate Tricks of the Trade
- Activate Enhanced Dash
- Activate Impetus
- Dash entirely resets Impetus' distance counter if dashing does not reach the 12m threshold.
- You can guarantee gaining Impetus by:
- Dashing once
- Moving 3m (just a few steps really)
- Dashing again
- The 2nd Dash will always grant you Impetus upon landing if done correctly.
- Finish staggering the boss and Evade to activate Advanced Rapid Fire.
- Use Shadow Clone to
- Activate Beastfall Boots
- Activate Unstoppable to trigger Tibault's Will
- Use Cold Imbuement if your Elements is on Cold.
- Check your buffs and make sure:
- Expectant and Caltrops are still active
- You are at maximum Health to max the Overpower Damage Multiplier
- Have maximum Energy
- Shoot your Rapid Fire at the boss for a big Kamehame-Ha!

FAQ & Mechanics
Because the One Shot Rogue is a Specialized build, the obvious Mechanics or build interactions may not be clear to most first time players. Search below for the answers you need or come check me out live via the link at the top of the article for more information!
- The boss needs to be staggered.
- This is mandatory to activate a lot of our conditional multipliers.
- This may not be necessary if you have godly gear and are soloing a boss.
- With more players in your party, bosses have more health.
- Ensure you followed the 10-step process correctly.
- Be at Maximum Health and Energy when firing your Rapid Fire.
- Do the Dash & Impetus dance properly.
- Work on your Elements timing to get it on Cold when the boss is staggered.
- Drink an Elixir of Resource II.
- Make sure to actively dodge the tormented boss' mechanics before they can generate stacks on you!
- Each additional stack from the boss massively increases your damage taken against them.
- Make sure your armor and resistances are properly capped.
- You can drag Dark Shroud onto your skill bar and cast it once before the fight. Then take back the skill you swapped off for this. This allows you to not rely on Umbrous procs to gain Dark Shroud stacks.
- Yes.
Mechanics
Learn about the mechanical details that make the One Shot Rogue bonk.
Dark Shroud stacks damage reduction additively for each active shadow. Due to the additive stacking, each increase in the skill's rank and active shadows boosts your survivability exponentially.
- At maximum stacks, increasing your total Ranks of Dark Shroud affects your effective hit points (eHP) against one-shots as follows:
- Increasing Dark Shroud from:
- Rank 1 to Rank 5: 15.3% more eHP
- Rank 1 to Rank 11: 50% more eHP
- Rank 1 to Rank 15: 87.5% more eHP
- Rank 5 to Rank 11: 30.1% more eHP
- Rank 5 to Rank 15: 62.5% more eHP
- Rank 11 to Rank 15: 25% more eHP
- Increasing Dark Shroud from:
- The damage formula for Precision is as follows:
Precision Multiplier = 1 + ((((1 + real Bottom Tooltip Critical Strike Damage) * 1.5 - 1) * 0.15 + 0.5))
- If you for example have +1000% Critical Strike Damage in the bottom part of your Tooltip:
3.83 = 1 + ((((1 + 10.00) * 1.5 - 1) * 0.15 + 0.5))
- This means all of your Critical Strikes with full Precision stacks deal 3.83 times more damage.
The [x]50% Overpower Multiplier is calculated based on your current health when you deal Overpower damage with the following formula:
Overpower Multiplier = 100% + 50% x (current HP/Max Life)
So if you have 50% HP, your multiplier would be: 100% + 50% x (50%/100%) = 125% = [x]25%
However, Overpower is suffering from misleading tooltips as the bonus [+]OPD% you get from Health and Fortified is not shown on the tooltip. You get +1% Overpower Damage for each 1% of your Current Life that exceeds your Base Life and you get +1% Overpower Damage for each 1% of Fortified Life. That means, if you have 23200 Max Life and 7959 Base Life, you get the following total [+]OPD%:

So whenever we cause an Overpower attack, with a base HP of 7959 and Max HP of 23200, we should add another [+]482.9% to our additive multiplier, which the game does not show us in the form of a number in the tooltip. So to accurately assess how much damage your Overpower attacks do, add the bottom [+]% of the tooltip to your calculation and convert your HP into [+]OPD%. Also, remember to multiply your damage with the [x]50% Overpower multiplier (presuming you are at max HP).
Credits to Ava for providing the Overpower Calculation.
- While all the exact mechanics are much more nuanced, there are two separate Attack Speed Bonus caps of +100% that apply to all builds for a total potential of +200%. For Rogues, these two caps are distributed in the following way:
Cap 1
- Gear rolls
- Paragon nodes
- Elixirs
- Flurry buff
- Close Quarters Combat (Cutthroat portion)
- Moonrise
- Artillery Shrine
Cap 2
- Close Quarters Combat (Marksman portion)
- Enhanced Heartseeker
- Alchemical Advantage
- Haste
- Accelerating
- High Velocity
- Asheara's Khanjar
Read up more on Attack Speed in our dedicated guide by Ava.
- The effect from Beastfall Boots does not have a duration. You do however need to time Shadow Clone right before the final shot. This is to ensure you have Unstoppable for Tibault's Will.
- Drink an Elixir of Resource II to further boost your damage multiplier from this item.
Bosses are immune to Crowd Control (CC) and instead take Stagger Damage when hit by one. The amount of stagger damage dealt depends on the type of CC and is proportional to its duration. After being hit by a CC effect, the Boss will temporarily take less Stagger Damage from CC of the same type.
Effectively, this means that when you're just spamming one type of CC you don't need to spam any more of it than what you need to keep a normal enemy permanently CC-d. To stagger the Boss quickly you need to use as many different types of CC as possible. In this build we have:
- Slow, Stun, Immobilize and Freeze from tempered affixes on our gear.
- Daze from Concussive Strikes.
After the Boss is staggered it gains a certain amount of stacking Stagger Damage Reduction for the rest of the fight:
- After 1st Stagger: 20%
- After 2nd Stagger: 40%
- After 3rd Stagger: 60%
- After 4th Stagger: 90%
Bosses naturally regain 1% of their Stagger HP every second and when that regen is combined with 90% Stagger Damage Reduction it becomes borderline impossible to Stagger the Boss again.
