Welcome to the Mistweaver Monk leveling guide for the World of Warcraft patch 11.0! In this guide, you find a small overview of good talents to pick, a simplified rotation as well as a shopping list to prepare you for your leveling journey!
If you are already level 80, don't hesitate to check out the Mythic+ or Raid guide instead!

It is highly recommended to level as Windwalker Monk!

Master of Harmony Mistweaver Monk leveling talents

Spec Tree

  • Jadefire Stomp
    • Expose a path of jade on the ground, and gain the powers of Ancient Concordance and Awakened Jadefire that will make your Blackout Kick hit up to 3 targets and Tiger Palm strike twice.
  • Dance of Chi-Ji
    • Your spells and abilities can make your next Spinning Crane Kick deal 300% more damage for big AoE damage.
  • Thunder Focus Tea
    • Empowers the next spell you use it on, use it on Rising Sun Kick for a cooldown reset or Expel Harm for more damage and a small absorb shield.
  • Focused Thunder
    • Gives you another charge of the empowerment from the Thunder Focus Tea.
  • Invoker's Delight
    • Gives you a nice Haste boost during Invoke Chi-Ji, the Red Crane.
  • Overflowing Mists
    • When you have Enveloping Mist on yourself, melee attacks from enemies will heal you a bit more based on your max health.
  • Life Cocoon
    • Large heal absorb that will also apply hots to you through the talent Mists of Life.
  • Healing Elixir
    • When you drop below 40% health or generate excess elixirs you will heal for 20% of your max health.

Class Tree

  • Tiger's Lust
    • Removes all roots and snares and gives you 70% movement speed for 6 seconds.
  • Chi Torpedo
    • Torpedos you forward a long distance and gives you movement speed.
  • Ring of Peace
    • Place down a ring on the ground that will knockback enemies that try to enter the ring, which can be used to interrupt many casts on a larger pull.
  • Diffuse Magic
    • Big magic damage taken reduction ability, that also will return any harmful magic effects on you back to their original caster if possible.
  • Fortifying Brew
    • Your personal that reduces both damage taken and increases your health.

Hero Talents

  • Master of Harmony performs better than Conduit of the Celestials while leveling because if you have stored a lot of Vitality you can then unleash it on bigger boss quest mobs for a quick kill.
  • Harmonic Gambit is making it possible for Aspect of Harmony to deal damage.
  • Endless Draught gives you another charge of Thunder Focus Tea.
  • Overwhelming Force makes your single target damage abilities deal some cleave damage in a frontal cone.
  • Coalescence makes targets take 10% more damage from you when they are affected by Aspect of Harmony.

Rotation

Single-Target

Mistweaver Monk Single-Target leveling opener
  • If you have taken damage and need healing you should also use Expel Harm on cooldown for single target damage as well.
  • Don't overcap on Teachings of the Monastery, 4 stacks is the max.

AoE

  • When it's 3 targets or below you can keep going the Single-Target rotation, if there are 4 or more enemies then you can Spinning Crane Kick spam.
  • If you get a proc from Dance of Chi-Ji then you can use Spinning Crane Kick on 2 or 3 targets as well.
