Welcome to the Havoc Demon Hunter leveling guide for the World of Warcraft patch 11.0! In this guide, you find a small overview of good talents to pick, a simplified rotation as well as a shopping list to prepare you for your leveling journey!

Talents
Havoc Demon Hunter
Fel-Scarred Level 70
Spec Tree
- Blind Fury
- So your Eye Beam actually does damage, pull a lot and Eye Beam them down.
- Glaive Tempest
- Good on demand AoE ability, place it after pulling together stuff with Throw Glaive.
- Essence Break
- Very strong 40 seconds cooldown for leveling, make sure to hit all hostile enemies in front of you.
- Momentum
- As you are going to be using Fel Rush a lot while leveling to move you want to pick up Momentum for some extra damage.
Class Tree
- The Hunt
- Use this on cooldown to close gaps between you and enemies.
Hero Talents
- Fel-Scarred performs better than Aldrachi Reaver while leveling due to the fact that Pursuit of Angriness massively increases your movement speed.
- Monster Rising and Enduring Torment significantly increase your damage outside of Demon Form and you are going to be spending a lot of time outside of that during leveling.
- Demonic Intensity and Demonsurge give you a high on demand burst damage.
- Try being high on fury all the time as Pursuit of Angriness gives you a lot of movement speed.

Milestones: 0 / 10
- Choose Fel-Scarred as your Hero Talent.
- Pick Pursuit of Angriness.
- Pick Burning Blades.
- Pick Untethered Fury.
- Pick Demonic Intensity.
- Pick Focused Hatred.
- Pick Violent Transformation.
- Pick Student of Suffering.
- Pick Set Fire to the Pain.
- Pick Enduring Torment.
- Pick Monster Rising.
Rotation
Havoc Demon Hunter
Single-Target
- Open with Glaive Tempest.
- Use all your major cooldowns in the following order
- cast Eye Beam.
- cast Essence Break.
- cast Metamorphosis
- After this point make sure to keep Glaive Tempest and Death Sweep on cooldown.
- Spend left-over fury with Annihilation and Chaos Strike.
AoE
- In general, the AoE rotation while leveling looks the same as your Single-Target rotation, make sure to pull as many enemies as possible by utilizing your Throw Glaive stacks and Torment and walk them together in a circle without having them reset.
- Use all your major cooldowns in the following order
- cast Eye Beam.
- cast Essence Break.
- cast Metamorphosis
- After this point make sure to keep Glaive Tempest and Death Sweep on cooldown.
- Spend left-over fury with Annihilation and Chaos Strike.

- 40x Fried Bonefish
- 40x Elemental Potion of Ultimate Power
- 80x Potion of Withering Dreams

- Dreambound Augment Rune -- Requires Reputation
or - 10x Draconic Augment Rune
- 20x Goblin Glider Kit
- Nice to either prevent yourself from dying to fall damage or to fly over small gaps without mounting up.
- Doesn't lose momentum (speed) when using Gunshoes.
- 20x Gunshoes
- Use to gain a 200% movement speed & water walking buff for 25 seconds.
- Use the "walk" toggle to slow down if you want to hand in quests.
- Buy 1x Light-Step Hoofplates and use it as your mount equipment.
