King & Queen Boss Guide
Last Updated:June 9, 2025|Changelog
King & Queen are the final bosses of the Castle Zone in Wizard of Legend 2. They use a combination of brute force and Chaos Arcana to decimate foes. Unlike most Bosses, this is a phased fight. For the first third, you fight the King alone, followed by the Queen for the second third. The last third tests your might, as both royals descend for one final duel. This Boss Guide details King & Queen's core and enrage mechanics, discusses strategies to avoid these mechanics, and demonstrates how to take them down with an example gameplay video.

Mechanics
King
- Hammer Slam - At close range, the King brings his hammer high above his head before smashing it down on the nearby player. The slam hits with such force that concentric, rectangular shockwaves emanate from its impact. King slams twice at a time, and it's best to maintain distance until the second set of shockwaves dissipates.
- Dashing Strikes - The King closes distance, then swings aggressively, up to 3 times. His dashes can pass through and damage the player, making the ensuing blow an attack from behind. The potential damage from his dashes is negligible, so time your own dashes with his arrival and swing.
- Summon Pillar - At range, the king can summon a castle pillar from the sky near the player's location. On impact, the pillars create square-shaped shockwaves around themselves. Their landing point is indicated by a 3x3 square on the ground, and the damaging area expands once to a 5x5 square. When you see this indicator, simply avoid the area.
Queen
- Tome and Sword - The Queen arrives with a magical floating tome and sword by her side. The tome casts an array of chaos orbs in a semi-circle from itself, while the sword whirlwinds rapidly across the arena toward nearby foes. Both entities have extremely low HP, however, and are easily dispatched.
- Summon Pillar / Shove Pillar - The Queen summons Pillars in a similar fashion to the King. However, she can force move these pillars to a new position and, when they arrive, they create both their typical square-shaped shockwaves as well as the extended damage pattern seen in transition phases.
Between Phases: At 66% and 33% HP, while the boss transitions, pillars fall randomly all about the arena, and each creates a line of chaos shockwaves from each of its sides that extend to the edges of the arena. This is one of the more chaotic parts of the fight and, if you have abilities with extended iframes, it's a good time to use them.
Rewards
As a Zone Boss, defeating King & Queen awards you with a random Arcana that typically has multiple enhancements already attached. Additionally, besting the duo reveals a Portal that leads to a Hieronymus's Lair, where you can elect to either recover a significant amount of health or increase your maximum health for the remainder of the run.

Summary
You always encounter King & Queen at the end of the Castle Zone, the third Zone in Wizard of Legend 2. The Queen and her summons are typically easy to burst down, while the King demands respect with his heavy-handed attacks. The transition between each fight is the most dangerous, and using abilities with extended iframes can help keep you healthy there. Defeating the duo awards you with a random, enhanced Arcana and grants access to Hieronymus's Lair, where you can choose to either heal for a large amount or increase your maximum HP.
