Rune System Guide

Runes in Throne and Liberty work similarly to other MMOs. They are slotted into your Weapons and Accessories to grant you stat bonuses. In addition to stat bonuses, slotting in the right combination will grant you Rune Synergies.

Unlocking Rune Slots

Clicking a Rune Slot in the Rune Management Window will open a window to unlock a socket of your choosing. The three types of sockets fit either Rare Attack Rune: Weapon, Rare Defense Rune: Weapon, or Rare Support Rune: Weapon.

Rune Synergies

You get powerful Synergy effects depending on the Rune Sockets unlocked in each slot. There are 4 different tiers to Synergies: White (Common), Green (Uncommon), Blue (Rare), and Purple (Epic).

You need 3 of the corresponding tier rarities to activate the Synergy effect. 2-Star Challenge Dungeons reward up to Blues, whereas 3-Star Challenge Dungeons reward up to Purples.

Leveling Up Runes

They can be farmed from Challenge Dungeons, Dynamic Events, and Guild Bosses.

• Each have stats that it can roll upon acquisition.
• Runes can reach Level 80, with the maximum stats available at Level 80.
• You must acquire a Rune with the same stat again to level it up. Rarity doesn't matter.
• Example:
  • Receive a Level 1 Hit Chance Attack Rune: Weapon.
  • Do a Challenge Dungeon and receive a Hit Chance Rare Attack Rune: Weapon.
  • There is a chance that you now have a Level 2 Hit Chance Rare Attack Rune: Weapon.
  • Repeat the process for higher-tier runes.
• The chance to level it up upon acquiring the same stat lowers as the level increases.

Efficient Leveling Method

You want to spam run the easiest and fastest Tiers to level up your runes.

• Level up your runes to level 20 by spamming Tier 1 Challenge Dungeons.
• Once most of your runes are level 20, spam Tier 3 to level your runes to 40.
• Once most of your runes are Level 40, spam Tier 5 to level your runes to 60.

The Best Rune Synergies

Depending on your needs, only a few Synergies are worth using on your weapons and accessories.

Weapon Synergies (Listing only useful ones)

• Strength 3, Critical Damage Reduction 6%
• Dexterity 3, Attack Speed +3%
• Wisdom 3, Debuff Duration -3%
• Perception 3, Shield Block Chance Pierce 7.5%

Necklace Synergies

• Dexterity 2, Max Health 600
• Wisdom 2, Max Health 600
• Dexterity 2, Movement Speed +3%
• Wisdom 2, Movement Speed +3%
• Dexterity 2, Critical Damage Reduction 6%
• Wisdom 2, Critical Damage Reduction 6%

Bracelet Synergies (Listing only useful ones)

• Bonus Damage 6, Max Health 400
• Added Attack Speed +3%, Shield Block Chance Pierce +4%
• Added Attack Speed +3%, Max Health 400

Ring Synergies

• Strength 2, Max Health 600
• Perception 2, Max Health 600
• Strength 2, Shield Block Chance Pierce +6%
• Perception 2, Shield Block Chance Pierce +6%
• Strength 2, Cooldown Speed +3%
• Perception 2, Cooldown Speed +3%
