A few days ago, Amazon posted the features that would be coming to Global servers on release on their official website. You may or may not have known, that on July 23rd, a huge update was released on the Korean version of the game. Skill Specializations were added and other various systems were added. Let's go into what's confirmed for the Global Launch of Throne and Liberty.
Camera Smoothing
- Improved camera controls to remove smoothing (an optional setting) and increase camera movement speed.
Leveling Experience for Global Launch
With the increased leveling speed on the Korean launch, the fastest players can reach level 50 within 5 hours.
Amazon states for their Global Launch:
- We heard feedback from Open Beta participants that they felt overwhelmed by the amount of systems that they were quickly introduced to in the early stages of their journey when leveling and progressing. We’re adjusting the progression journey to better spread out the introduction of systems, allowing players to focus on their early questing experience and learning the ins-and-outs of their character and combat before diving into too many additional systems.
This most likely means they're decreasing the leveling speed. How much is unknown.
Guilds
Amazon states for their Global Launch:
- THRONE AND LIBERTY is better together. As a guild you can get more out of unique modes like Castle Siege, more confidently traverse the open world thanks to meaningful guild rewards, and better contend with hostile players. We’re expanding the tagging available to guilds so that players can more easily find guilds that align with their playstyles.
The Korean version recently made the default guild size to be 70. You do not need levels to increase the amount of players in a Guild. This is a quality of life update that benefits everyone.
If a Guild owns a Boonstone or Riftstone, they can freely teleport to them. If Amazon means something more than that in terms of "traverse the open world," we're not sure. We're also not sure what their last sentence brings, as there are limited filtering options in the Korean version of the looking-for guild menu.
Skill Specializations
Skill Specializations were recently introduced in the Korean version, functioning like Tripods in Lost Ark. They're basically skill customizations for Active Skills that change how your skills work. It has made a lot of new weapon combinations viable. In our opinion, it's made combat more exciting too. Check out the Skill Specializations for each weapon below and the videos. Life Skills
Cooking For Global Launch
Cooking is also coming to Global. Currently, it's not that deep of a system. You gather materials and then use specific materials to cook food. Some examples are Vienta Banquet, Healthy Milk, Rare Poultry and Shiitake Mushroom Stir-fry, Golden Rye Banquet.
Fishing For Global Launch
Fishing is mainly used to acquire ingredients for Cooking. It's not anything intensive and it's a great activity to just sit back and relax.
Amitoi Expedition
Amazon states for their Global Launch:
- Amitoi Expeditions will be added, a new system allowing you to send your Amitois on adventures to collect rewards for you when they’re not accompanying you on your adventures in Solisium. It also includes the Amitoi House, your base of operations for Amitoi Expeditions.
You can send your Amitois on Expeditions just like how you can send Sailors on Expeditions in Lost Ark. As your Amitoi Expedition level increases, you can send up to 5 Amitois on one Expedition. Unfortunately, you can only have 1 active Expedition at a time. They'll come back with guaranteed crafting materials as well as a small chance of acquiring an Expedition Pouch for the Region you sent them in.
