Fury Attack Guide

Last Updated:September 24, 2024|Changelog

Welcome to the Fury Attack Guide for Throne and Liberty! In Throne and Liberty, a Fury Attack is a special attack done by either Players or Monsters. When blocked, the player receives special effects based on the type of block used and the type of attack blocked.

Types of Fury Attacks

Throne and Liberty has two types of Fury Attacks: stationary and rolling. Regardless of type, both have regular Defense windows and Perfect Block windows. When getting a regular Defense, a portion of the skill or attack damage is blocked and you receive some of the special benefits from your Block of choice. On Perfect Block, all damage that would have been received is Blocked and you get all of the bonus effects from your block of choice.

In PvE, each Block is accompanied by an on screen indicator to inform you that a Fury Attack is coming. In PvP, there are no tells, so the player must recognize the skill being cast and know if it is blockable or not. As long as an attack happens while you still have your Block active, you can block an infinite number of attacks. Each time you Block you consume Stamina, and after running out of Stamina you can no longer Block.

Stationary Fury Attacks

Stationary Fury Attacks in Throne and Liberty are skills or attacks that can be Blocked by either using a rolling Block or a stationary Block. Depending on the effects of the Block you are using, deciding whether you stand still or roll is entirely up to you.

When fighting PvE monsters, they are accompanied by an on screen purple indicator. For stationary attacks, this indicator is a circle that rapidly closes in on its center. When Blocking as the circle closes in, you receive a Perfect Block. In PvP, while there are no indicators for when to Block, all Fury Attacks are considered stationary and can be Blocked with either a stationary Block or a rolling Block.

Rolling Attacks

Rolling Fury Attacks are something you only see in PvE content. On screen, a diamond-shaped indicator appears and begins closing towards its center. As the indicator closes, press the Block key while moving in any direction to perform a Rolling Block. Upon success, you see the 'Perfect Block' text and receive beneficial effects based on the skill you used to Block.

Unlike stationary ones, Rolling ones must be blocked with a Dodge Roll. Any other type of Block results in you being hit and taking a large amount of damage.

Summary

  • Fury Attacks are special Blockable attacks in Throne and Liberty. They are accompanied by on-screen indicators.
  • There are two different types of Fury Attacks: Stationary and Rolling.
