Skill Gems & Passive Tree
Explosive Trap Saboteur Endgame Skill Gems & Passive Tree.
Skill Gems
Ensure your skill gems are of the right quality (normal, anomalous, divergent or phantasmal).
Some gems need to be a certain level to function. This is especially important for some Auras and certain defensive setups.
Follow the guides instructions to get the specifics on what levels and qualities are needed. Not every gem needs to be at maximum level.
Skill Breakdown
Explosive Trap
- Explosive Trap - your primary skill which lays a Trap that explodes with a series of smaller explosions that can overlap with enough reduction in Area of Effect.
- Empower Support - major damage boost through the addition of Levels to the Main active Skill Gem.
- Awakened Added Fire Damage Support - adds Physical as Extra Fire Damage and an additional Level to Physical Skill Gems once it reaches Level 5.
- Anomalous Concentrated Effect Support - substantial more Damage boost while also reducing the Area of Effect of your Trap allowing additional overlaps
- Swift Assembly Support - provides a massive damage boost by causing an average of .6 additional Traps to be thrown.
- Anomalous Trap and Mine Damage Support - provides a boost in Damage while the alternate quality reduces the cost of Traps.
Auras
Core Auras
- Herald of Ash - provides Physical as extra Fire damage and boost the damage of Fire Spells.
- Grace - scales your Evasion Rating to prevent Attacks from landing.
- Determination - scales our physical damage reduction and Molten Shell shield value.
- Enlighten Support - linked to all core auras to make them reserve less Mana.
- Summon Skitterbots - Shock and Chill nearby enemies and provides More Trap and Mine damage.
Secondary Auras
- Defiance Banner - provides increased Armour and Evasion Rating.
- Zealotry - provides More Damage and increased Critical Strike Chance to Spells. This is linked to Divine Blessing Support which causes it to be temporary, but at a flat cost instead of a reservation.
Utility
Mobility
- Flame Dash - is a movement spell that causes the player to teleport to a target location. It is essential for mobility and dodging attacks.
- Shield Charge - a movement ability that causes the player to charge towards the cursor. This scales off of your Attack Speed and Movement Speed so it is linked with Faster Attacks Support.
Defence
- Cast when Damage Taken Support - automatically triggers the primary skill gem when taking a hit. Lower levels of Cast When Damage Taken require less damage to trigger (Use Level 1 for this build).
- Anomalous Molten Shell - provides an immense absorption shield based on your armour for a short duration. Molten Shell will trigger when taking damage to grant you mitigation when you need it most (Use level 10 and the Anomalous Quality for this build).
Offence
- Elemental Weakness - is a Curse that reduces enemies Elemental Resistances. Link this with Cursed Ground Support to allow instant application to bosses.
- Wave of Conviction - an easy way to apply Exposure to enemies, reducing their Fire or Lightning Resistances based on the highest damage portion of this ability.
- Bear Trap - provides 25% more damage with Hits against enemies affected by this Trap.
Passive Tree Progression
Jewel Locations
Certain Jewels require specific placement on the passive tree, you can find these locations below.
Cluster Jewel 1
The Jewel Socket on the edge of the Passive Tree Near Perfect Agony should only be allocated after you have acquired the Large Cluster Jewel jewel to socket within it.
This build uses 1 Large and 2 Medium Cluster Jewels.
Lethal Pride
The Jewel Socket to the right of the Shadow starting area should be socketed with a Lethal Pride that gives Chance to Double Damage or Physical as Extra Fire damage.
