The Revival Catalyst is a system introduced to help players convert non-tier gear into tier gear, aiding in the completion of their tier sets. This feature provides an alternative method for obtaining the powerful tier set bonuses. By allowing players to transform eligible gear into tier pieces, the Revival Catalyst mitigates the reliance on luck and raid drops, making it easier to achieve optimal gear setups.
The Revival Catalyst is still active but only works for Dragonflight items if you wish to collect transmog! The newer Matrix Catalyst is the War Within version!
How to unlock the Revival Catalyst
To unlock the Revival Catalyst you simply pick up and complete the quest Reviving the Machine, which you receive from Watcher Koranos in Valdrakken.

How to use the Revival Catalyst
The Revival Catalyst uses something called Renascent Awakening. Every week all of your characters gain 1 charge of Renascent Awakening passively stacking up to a maximum of 9 charges. To convert non-tier items to tier items you simply have to drag the desired item into the Revival Catalyst slot and click Transform.
Additionally you can use the Revival Catalyst to transform items on slots that don't have tier options. These items won't convert into tier pieces but rather to items that share the appearance of said tier. In some cases it also swaps the secondary stats that item gives.
