Heirlooms are items that scale with your character’s level, providing consistent stat boosts as you progress. They are equipped from level 1 and continue to be useful until you reach level 70. Heirlooms come with experience bonuses, which significantly speeds up the leveling process.
Set Bonus
There are bonuses depending on how many Heirlooms you're wearing. Equipping 2, 3, 5 or 6 Heirloom items from the categories Helm, Neck, Shoulders, Chest, Cloak, Ring and Legs means the following:
- 2-Set: Grants you a 30% longer Rested XP period.
- 3-Set: This lets you generate more health while not in combat.
- 5-Set: Every level-up deals AoE damage and grants you 40% more primary stat for 2 minutes.
- 6-Set: Grants you another 30% longer Rested XP period.
How to upgrade Heirlooms
Heirlooms are bought with a 0/6 upgrade level. Each upgrade tier lets the items scale up to a specific character level.
You are required to upgrade an item step by step. You cannot simply boost an Heirloom from 0/6 to 6/6 with 1 item. To successfully upgrade an item from 0 to 6 you need one of each of the following items:
Weapons
- Level 0/6: Baseline
- Scales up until level 30.
- Level 1/6: Ancient Heirloom Scabbard
- Scales up until level 35.
- Level 2/6: Timeworn Heirloom Scabbard
- Scales up until level 40.
- Level 3/6: Weathered Heirloom Scabbard
- Scales up until level 45.
- Level 4/6: Battle-Hardened Heirloom Scabbard
- Scales up until level 50.
- Level 5/6: Eternal Heirloom Scabbard
- Scales up until level 60.
- Level 6/6: Awakened Heirloom Scabbard
- Scales up until level 70.
Armor / Jewelry / Trinket / Offhand / Shield
- Level 0/6: Baseline
- Scales up until level 30.
- Level 1/6: Ancient Heirloom Armor Casing
- Scales up until level 35.
- Level 2/6: Timeworn Heirloom Armor Casing
- Scales up until level 40.
- Level 3/6: Weathered Heirloom Armor Casing

These upgrades are bought from the main Heirloom Curator vendors in Orgrimmar, Undercity or Ironforge for Gold as well as from any Holiday Vendor that is currently present for their respective currency!
