Wizard of Legend 2 Medallions Guide
Last Updated:June 9, 2025|Changelog
You get to select a Medallion to take into the Trials. The bonuses provided vary, but some of them are powerful enough to be build defining. If your current approach isn't working, try changing up your Medallion for the next run. While there are many Medallions to choose from, some options are better than others so learn the best with this Medallion guide.
The Talking Mirror
Interact with the Talking Mirror to select your Medallion or spend Chaos Gems to unlock new ones. Unlike a lot of other metaprogression systems, the Medallions don't unlock in a random order. This means you can try whichever one you want, provided you have the Chaos Gems. In addition to the options shown here, there is one more Medallion that only unlocks after you beat the final boss.

Medallion List
There are 10 Medallions to choose from in Wizard of Legend 2. Your starting choice, the Basic Wizard Medallion, does nothing (and therefore is excluded from the table below). The other 9 each provide a unique effect that boosts your damage, provides defenses, or completely transforms your playstyle.
Medallion | Notes |
---|---|
Vigor | Health is always good, and this Medallion doesn't have any downsides. |
Focus | Most Signature Ultimates provide great damage and long iframes, so this helps with both damage and defense. |
Venture | A potent damage increase, but the downside is pretty severe; only use this if you excel at avoiding damage. |
Awe | It's not great initially, but it can shine when combined with other critical scaling effects. |
Spirit | Health recovery is scarce, so this makes the Trials more forgiving. |
Pace | This is a lackluster choice, as most of the time, the difficulty is seeing the attack in time to react, not physically avoiding it. |
Fall | Normally, health is a scarce resource; this lets you ignore most sources of healing, but beware, you still need to avoid damage for several seconds before the healing kicks in! |
Shift | A random chance to avoid damage is, by its very nature, unreliable. You can combine this with Evade-focused Relics to make it more effective. |
Insignia Of Legend | Approximately 20% Critical Damage per Chaos Arcana (80% with 4). |
The Best Medallion(s)
Now that you know a bit more about what each of the Medallions does, which one is the best? Fall - Being able to heal whenever you need is incredibly powerful. Yes, you do have to play around a lower health pool, and it does mean you can't take as many consecutive hits. But this is a small price to pay for unlimited healing in a game where you normally die to attrition, slowly losing health over multiple battles.
Fall is not great when you are first starting out, as 60 maximum health leaves you little room for mistakes. But later on, you can pair it with Runes that increase your maximum health, like Heartstone of Healing and Monster Mash.
If you're just starting out, Vigor is a good default as it provides extra health to help you learn.
