TLDR
Don't want to know WHY you're doing something? Look no further! Here's a full, no-nonsense list of everything you need to prepare:
Currency
- Fully capped Contracts (5 Accepted, 69/60 cap)
- Save all Weekly Contracts. They dissolve to craft new Talandre Weekly Contracts at a 2:1 ratio.
- Save all Taedel's Tower Contracts. Run them after the update for increased Weapon Mastery gains.
- Max 1,000 Abyssal Contract Token Points (40k)
- Save all Abyss Coin and Abyssal Aggregate. They are used to craft Epic Level 2 Equipment Chests.
- Save all Randomized Matchmaking Reward: 2-Star to open after the update. There is a chance Amazon updates the box to contain Dimensional Essence: Desire which can be used to craft Tier 2 Weapons.
- Save all Arena Coins. Arena Shop may update with Precious Blessing Pouch: Plateau containing some of the new Epic Tier 2 Gear.
- Save as many Contract Coin as possible.
- You can buy Tier 2 Weapon boxes for 3k Contract Coin. Additionally, you can buy Precious Blessing Pouch: Plateau for 250 Contract Coin each. This pouch contains some Tier 2 Epic Weapons and Armor, and a good portion of the Tier 1 Epic Armor and Accessories.
- Save all Special Resistance Medal to craft the new Weapon Mastery Seals. 1 Medal = 100k Weapon EXP (10x per week.)
- Save all Trait Unlockstone and Trait Conversion Stone to make Traiting the new gear smoother.

- 186,390,000 Sollant

- 5824 Precious Polished Crystal
A more thorough breakdown is linked below. All Data and Numbers were pulled from this document. All credits to the makers listed at the bottom.
Blessings
Each piece of gear needs to have 8120 Blessings at the end of Transferring.
- Fail Stack 4160 Blessings on a T1 Epic Gear Piece
- Transfer your fully traited +9 Epic Gear Piece into the Gear Piece with 4160 Blessings (Should now be 5480 blessings or higher)
- Transfer this Gear Piece into your desired Epic Tier 2 Gear Piece for a total of 8120 Blessings.
Contracts and Dungeons
Unless Amazon makes major changes, the Weekly Contract Scrolls, Open World Dungeon Pouches and 2-Star Matchmaking reward boxes are all valuable sources of new Epic Tier 2 equipment. Although most end-game Epic Tier 2 items are found elsewhere, these items should still be saved ahead of time. They're used for Tier 2 Traits, Material Transmutation, and some Epic Tier 2 items, like Dawn Mist's Killing Hood, are part of many End-Game builds! Be sure to purchase Precious Blessing Pouch from Contract Coin Merchants every day for an extra 2 Weekly Contract Scrolls. Aside from Mystic Key and Fishing Bait Chest (50), the rest of your Contract Coin should be saved for the Epic Tier 2 Weapon Selection chests. These chests can be purchased from any Contract Coin Merchant for 3k Contract Coin.
Weapon Mastery
A small note on Weapon Mastery. The new Weapon Mastery System being introduced with the Talandre Expansion completely overhauls the way Weapon Mastery works. The sources for Mastery are updated to give better rewards such as Taedel's Tower contracts, Daily Contracts, and Co-Op Dungeons. With the new cap for Weapon Mastery at 200, keep in mind that one weapon at the current Mastery level of 20 is the equivalent of 80 levels in the new system. The new Weapon Mastery System has 'Total Mastery Level' perks that take into account the levels of all weapons on the character. To unlock every bonus, you need 4 Weapon Mastery Level 200 weapons, so it's best to plan ahead now!
Open World Dungeons
For Open World Dungeons, Talandre has several to chose from and farm at your leisure - each with its own unique drop table for Epic Tier 2 Gear. Currently, Talandre Open World Dungeons use the same 10 Abyssal Contract Token Points. Unless Amazon adds a new Token, prepare by saving 40k 10 Abyssal Contract Token Points for the expansion. From current Open World Dungeons, Save all Weekly Contracts, Abyssal Aggregate, and Abyss Coin. The Weekly Contracts dissolve at a 2:1 ratio to be made into new Talandre Weekly Contracts. The Abyss Coin and Abyssal Aggregate can be used to craft new Epic Tier 2 Equipment Chests, potentially putting you ahead of the curve on your gear farm.

Co-Op Dungeons
For Co-Op Dungeons specifically, the Korean version of the game has the same two Dimensional Contract Tokens as the Global Release. The current Dimensional Contract Token II used in 2-Star Dungeons on the global version are used for the new 3-Star Talandre Dungeons in Korea. It is currently unknown if Amazon will add a new type of token for 3-Star Dungeons or if we can use the old Dimensional Contract Token II. Either way, you lose nothing being prepared ahead of time.
As a final note for Farming in Open World Dungeons as well as Co-Op Dungeons, save any Epic Tier 1 gear pieces to use in Material Transmutation. It is expected for Amazon to release the Resonance system with the Talandre Expansion. Just think of Resonance as another way to get extra stats on your gear through Trait Resonance Stone . You craft these stones using Trait Resonance Stone Fragment from Material Transmutation.
Preparing for New Gear
The Talandre Expansion for Throne and Liberty is fast approaching, and with it comes a huge list of new Weapons, Armor, and Accessories! Each and every one of these new pieces blow old Epic Tier 1 Gear out of the water in terms of power so it's best to prepare to upgrade as soon as you can get your hands on them. Not sure what new gear to expect? Check out our comprehensive list of new Gear and where it comes from in our Tier 2 Gear Preview article!
Below is a comprehensive list of expected upgrade costs for all of your new Epic Tier 2 equipment. Please keep in mind the numbers below are averages and your personal upgrade experience may differ! Thanks once again to all the work that went into this document, which is the source for the following numbers.
Cost of Making Growthstones
Keep in mind that all values assume you are replacing every single piece of gear! Another thing to note is Epic Tier 1 Archboss Weapons have their maximum upgrade level increased from +9 to +12. Although you won't be starting from scratch, you should still save a large amount of Precious Rubrix Ore.
Weapons
- 49,704,000 Sollant
- 1792 Precious Magic Powder
- 896 Precious Rubrix Ore
- 896 Precious Polished Crystal
Armor
- 74,556,000 Sollant
- 2688 Precious Magic Powder
- 2688 Precious Stalon Ore
- 2688 Precious Polished Crystal
Accessories
- 62,130,000 Sollant
- 2240 Precious Magic Powder
- 2240 Precious Emeret Ore
- 2240 Precious Polished Crystal
Cost for Full Gear
- 186,390,000 Sollant
- 6720 Precious Magic Powder
- 5824 Precious Ore
- 5824 Precious Polished Crystal
The aforementioned numbers do not account for crafting from Blue materials into Purple materials such as upgrading Rare Weapon Growthstone into Precious Weapon Growthstone or upgrading Rare Polished Crystal into Precious Polished Crystal. At the absolute worst case scenario of needing to craft up everything, expect an additional Sollant cost of about 40,000,000.
Blessing Stacking
Blessings in Throne and Liberty refer to a system for upgrading Traits. When trying to upgrade a Trait with a lower tier Trait (i.e. a Rare Critical Hit Chance into an Epic Tier 1 Critical Hit Chance), there is a high chance of failure. Upon failure, the item used for upgrading is consumed and converted into Blessings that are placed on the target gear piece. These Blessings can then be saved up or used to increase the chance of your next Trait upgrade succeeding.
We have a full guide already on how to most effectively Blessing Stack found here. Just know that in total, your Epic Tier 1 Gear Piece needs 4160 Blessings. After transferring your old main Epic Tier 1 Gear Piece, this number goes to 5480 and, once transferred into the new Epic Tier 2 Gear Pieces, a total of 8120 Blessings. This is enough to get every single Trait line to max using lower tier Traits, saving you lots of Lucent in the long term!
