Blessing Stacking for Tier 2

Last Updated:January 6, 2025|Changelog

If you're trying to prep for Tier 2 gear, stacking Blessings on a gear piece right now is one of the cheapest ways to trait T2 gear in the future. This article covers all the details behind stacking Blessings on gear and how to effectively fail stack for Tier 2 armor.

The Goal

The TLDR

  1. Build up at least 4160 Blessings on a base piece.
  2. Transfer a fully traited +9 T1 Epic into your base piece.
    • This gives that base piece +1320 Blessings for a total of 5480 Blessings and makes it +9 so you don't use any Precious Weapon Growthstone, Precious Armor Growthstone or Precious Accessory Growthstone.
  3. Transfer this new piece into your T2 Epic.
    • This gives that T2 Epic piece +2640 Blessings for a total of 8120 Blessings.
    • Each T1 trait sacrifice into T2 requires 900 Blessings.

The Math Explained

Just like how you can use a Rare piece with 450 Blessings to 100% trait an Epic piece, you can do the same using a T1 Epic trait extract to 100% trait a T2 piece.

  • You need 900 Blessings on a T2 Epic to guarantee that the T1 Epic upgrades a Trait Line.
  • Using a T1 Epic to upgrade a Trait Line gives you 80 Blessings on a T2 Epic.

To fully trait out a T2 Epic with T1 Epic extracts, you need 8100 Blessings.

  • Transferring a fully traited T1 Epic to another T1 Epic gives you 1320 Blessings.
    • Each trait is worth 120 Blessing.
    • The 1st trait doesn't give Blessing. The other 11 traits result in a total of 1320 Blessings.
  • Transferring a fully traited T1 Epic into a T2 Epic gives you 2640 Blessings.
    • Each trait is worth 240 Blessing when transferring onto a T2 Epic.
    • The 1st trait doesn't give Blessing. The other 11 traits result in a total of 2640 Blessings.

The below image shows that this T1 Epic gives a T2 Epic 8020 Blessings when transferred.

  • To give context, a +9 fully traited Epic was transferred onto a base piece with 5740 Blessings already built up.
  • Each additional trait past the 1st gives 240 Blessings. 4 Traits = 960 Blessings. 7060 + 960 = 8020.
  • Only 2 more rare trait extracts need to be failed on the base piece (each fail gives 40) for the end result to be 8100.

Blessing Stacking Method 1

This method uses Trait Conversion Stone, and you must end up with a fully Traited T1 Epic piece with a minimum of 4140 Blessings.

Watch part of the process in the video at the end of the article.

  1. Figure out which blue extract is the most abundant and which is the cheapest Trait extract.
  2. Use a cheap T1 Epic that you can use to sacrifice the cheap blue extracts.
  3. Start buying and sacrificing the blue Trait extracts into your T1 Epic piece.
    • Ideally, you want them to fail to gain Blessings.
    • Each failed upgrade grants the T1 Epic piece 40 Blessings.
  4. After your 1st Trait is 4/4, unlock the next cheapest T1 Epic trait by buying one off the market.
  5. Start sacrificing more cheap blue extracts into that Trait line.
Blessing Cheap Extract V 1
  1. Once you 4/4 the 2nd Trait Line, you have two options.
    • Buy the 3rd cheapest Trait Line and replace one of the 4/4 Trait Lines with Trait Conversion Stone. Continue the same process as stated in steps 2 to 5.
      • This way, you can keep rotating between the 3 cheapest trait extracts.
    • Buy the 3rd cheapest Trait Line and open the 3rd Trait Line. Continue the same process.
      • After all 3 Trait Lines are 4/4, you must rotate between the 4 cheapest traits.
  2. Repeat this process until you reach at least 4140 Blessings.

Future Transfer Prep

You're done once you reach at least 4140 Blessings on a fully Traited T1 Epic. The following steps are for when T2 Epic gear is released.

  • Transfer your fully traited Level 9 T1 Epic to the piece you stacked 4140 Blessings on.
    • This gives your piece 5460 Blessing and Level 9.
  • Transfer this new fully Traited Level 9 T1 Epic piece with 5460 Blessings into your T2 piece.
    • This gives your T2 piece 8100 Blessings, which allows you to 100% guarantee 9 T1 Epic extracts upgrades a T2 Trait line.

Blessing Stacking Method 2

This 2nd method uses the same logic and process as the 1st method but doesn't use Trait Conversion Stone. Instead, you transfer a piece with Blessings to another piece.

  1. Transfer your +9 full traited T1 Epic to another Epic piece.
    • This gives that piece 1320 Blessings.
  2. Build Blessings on the T1 Epic by sacrificing cheap blue extracts.
  3. Once you reach 4/4, feel free to keep sacrificing blue extracts into more lines or transfer the piece to another T1 Epic.
    • Each additional Epic trait past the 1st gives you 120 Blessing.
  4. Once more lines are 4/4, transfer the piece to another T1 Epic and restart until you reach 5460 Blessings.
  5. Fully trait this T1 Epic after reaching 5460 Blessings.
    • Once T2 gear comes out, transfer this T1 Epic piece into it for a total of 8100 Blessings.

Blessing Stacking Method 3 (Purple Extracts)

Because blue extracts for belt and cloaks cost a hefty amount, you need another cheap method to efficiently extract them. This method uses Epic trait extracts only to cheaply stack Blessings on them. This also works for other items.

  1. Fully trait out 4 T1 Belts or Cloaks using Epic extracts. Many cost 20 Lucent or less.
    • Each fully traited T1 Epic when transferred to another T1 Epic will give you 1320 Blessings.
    • On one of these pieces, you need 200 additional Blessings by fail stacking Blues.
  2. When T2 Epics release and you're ready to move to it, follow the steps below.
    • Transfer your +9 fully traited T1 Epic to one of the T1 Epics above. This piece now has 1320 Blessings.
    • Transfer the new piece over to another. It now has 2640 Blessings.
    • Transfer another piece over. It now has 3960 Blessings.
    • Transfer the T1 piece that has 200 additional Blessings over to another T1 pieceIt now has 5480 Blessings.
    • Transfer this final T1 to the T2 Epic to reach 8120 Blessings.

Blessing Stacking Method 4

Be aware that this method uses more Precious Weapon Growthstone, Precious Armor Growthstone, and Precious Accessory Growthstone.

  1. Upgrade a T1 Epic piece once.
  2. Build Blessings on the T1 Epic by sacrificing cheap blue extracts.
  3. Once you reach 4/4, feel free to keep sacrificing blue extracts into more lines or transfer the piece to another T1 Epic.
    • You cannot transfer a T1 Epic over to another without upgrading it at least once.
  4. Once more lines are 4/4, transfer the piece to another T1 Epic and restart until you reach 5460 Blessings.
  5. Fully trait this T1 Epic after reaching 5460 Blessings.

This piece cannot be given your Level 9 T1 Epic. Thus, you have to upgrade it from scratch.

Video Walkthrough

The method in the video shown below deviates from the explanation above. Don't worry, though, as the process is essentially the same.
