This Cooking Guide will cover the cooking system in Throne and Liberty might seem daunting at first, but it is easy to grasp within due time. Some of the best PvP foods like Rare Tuna Tadaki and Rare Lobster Sandwich come solely from cooking. Your time as Master Chef awaits!

Efficient leveling techniques, key crafting material sources, and other relevant information in this Cooking Guide were obtained from Yaeger's Google Doc Guide.

Cooking Basics

First, you need to go to any Cooking Oven in the content. You can find them in key towns like Stonegard Castle and Vienta Village. The icon for them is shown above in the image. Click on it to open the Cooking menu.

In the Cooking Menu, you see various items you can craft on the left hand side. They're categorized into Attack, Defense, Utility, Remedies, and MISC. Click on any item to see the materials required to craft them.

  1. Substitute Materials
    • Some crafting materials can be substituted for other materials, as shown in the image.
    • If available, substitute materials are either grey, green, or blue.
  2. Crafting Success Rate
    • Upon crafting an item, the item produced might have different grades, with their percentages shown to you.
    • If a recipe has multiple materials you can use and substitute, the higher the rarity, the higher the chance of producing an item of higher rarity.
    • Additionally, you see that you can "Crit" a craft known in-game as "Great Success Rate."
      • Achieving a Crit for food results in crafting a sellable item, which you can place on the Auction House.
      • Achieving a Crit for potions results in one additional potion.

Cooking Material Sources

Sundries Merchant

Sundries Merchant Wares

The most common cooking materials are bought at the Sundries Merchant in any main town. Three items have daily limits, Egg, Golden Rye, and Honey, so make sure you buy them every day!

Common Material Sources

As you craft more food, you run into several crafting material bottlenecks. Salt, Egg, Honey, Golden Rye, and Pine Mushroom are just some examples. Hover over the tooltips in this article to see where they come from, or click the info button in-game.

  • It's recommended that you farm Salt by using your Amitoi and sending it out on Expeditions as much as possible.

Rare Material Sources

You can check the sources of items in-game, but here are the easiest methods to farm some rare materials.

  • Thick Meat
    • Gray Lycans and Gray Wolves in Greyclaw Forest during the night
  • Sea Crab Nipper
    • Sea Crabs in Daybreak Shore during the rain
  • Scorpion Tail
