CC Formulas Chance and Resistance
Last Updated:December 3, 2024|Changelog
The CC Formulas for CC Chance and Resistances follow a similar formula to Hit, Evasion, Endurance, and many other stats. This article will detail the formula for the % chance a CC skill will land on a target.
CC Formulas and Curve
If Target has Higher CC Resist
If the target has a higher CC Resistance than your CC Chance, your Chance to Hit formula is as follows:
x = CC Resistance (Higher) - CC Chance (Lower)
z = Base CC Hit Chance of Skill
Below, you will see a graph of the formula shown. The noteworthy points are:
- 250 Collision Resistance higher than Collision Chance causes 70% Base CC Chance skill to land 35% of the time.
- Tornado does 3 ticks of damage so the overall chance of you getting CC'd is higher from it.
- Any other CC skill that only has 1 tick will have the base chance of 35%.
- Significantly diminishing returns after a difference of 250.
If Target has Lower CC Resist
If your CC Chance is higher than your target's CC Resistance, your Chance to Hit formula is as follows.
x = CC Resistance (Higher) - CC Chance (Lower)
z = Base CC Hit Chance of Skill
w = Base CC Miss Chance of Skill
Below, you will see a graph of the formula shown. The noteworthy points are:
- You need a much higher CC Chance against the target's CC Resistance to make any noticeable difference.
- The takeaway is that you should try to match the opponent's CC Resistance, but overcoming it isn't too important.

Summary
- The CC formula for CC Chance and CC Resistance follow a stat curve much like other stats.
- Having at least 200 CC Resistance higher than the opponent's CC Chance significantly cuts the Hit Rate of the CC skill.
- Due to diminishing returns, having a higher CC Chance than the opponent's CC Resistance isn't important.
