Welcome to the Amitoi Expedition Guide for Throne and Liberty. The Amitoi Expedition is a mostly AFK activity where you send Amitoi, which are collectable pets you earn throughout the game, on missions to earn various resources and rewards. By the end of this guide you will have a full understanding of the Amitoi Expedition, what missions are, what resources you can earn, and what the best Amitoi to use are!
Amitoi Expedition
To Access the Amitoi Expedition, you must complete the Appendix Quest "A Small but Mighty Companion" in Chapter 3 of the Adventure Codex. This quest will walk you through the absolute basics of the Amitioi Expedition as well as unlock a new Amitoi for you: Vagabond Percy. Once unlocked, you will have access to a second Appendix Quest, "Adventures of the Expedition", that shows you how to send off your Amitoi on expeditions.
Once you have access to the Amitoi Expedition, there are a few main things you need to pay attention to. What materials each mission gives, which Amitoi have bonuses for that mission, and how much EXP you need to unlock new missions in the future.
What Missions to Focus
The basic format of every Amitoi Expedition mission is exactly the same. You send as many Amitoi as you can on one mission at a time. After a time between one and eight hours ( you choose how long you want to send your Amitoi out), they come back with EXP, Items, and sometimes special pouches. The EXP progresses your Amitoi Expedition level, allowing you to send more Amitoi on missions as well as unlock more Expeditions in the future.
At the very start, you will only have access to one Amitoi Expedition: Golden Rye Pastures. As you send your Amitoi out and level up, you will unlock more slots as well as more Expeditions. When increasing your Expedition Level, the only things that matter are which zone and for how long. For the Fastest EXP gain, send your Amitoi to the highest unlocked zone for one hour. When farming Materials, first look for the Expedition that has what you need such as Salt. Then, send your Amitoi on one hour Expiditions for the highest rewards per hour. The materials you earn from Expeditions are used for Crafting and Cooking, so make sure to plan ahead when selecting which Expedition you want to take!

Another important thing to consider is whether your Amitoi is suited for the Expedition or not. Each one has its own preferred terrain indicated by a green "up arrow" in the corner of the Amitoi's portrait.
The main effect preferred terrain has on an Expedition is increasing the materials that you get from them. Excluding the Expedition Pouch, every reward from an Expedition is increased by the amount of Amitoi you send, how long the Expedition lasts, and the Amitoi's Favored Terrain. To get the absolute most rewards per hour, make sure you have a full Expedition Team who's favored terrain matches the area you are farming. Also keep in mind that like farming EXP, the best items per hour come from doing missions one hour at a time versus sending them for the full eight hours.
Summary
- Amitoi Expedition is a passive way to gather materials for Cooking and Crafting.
- Each Amitoi has its own favored terrain, and increases the amount of rewards you receive the more Amitoi you send on the Expedition.
- To get the best EXP and Materials per hour, make sure to send your Amitoi on Expeditions every hour.
