In Throne and Liberty, your "class" is dictated by the weapons you wield. The skills you can use are locked behind the weapon you equip.
The Seven Weapons
There are a total of 7 weapons for the launch of the Throne and Liberty. You choose 2 of these 7 to equip, and then you have access to skills of both.

Sword and Shield Weapon
- The Sword and Shield is your quintessential Tank archetype for Throne and Liberty. It grants you high defense and unique methods of Crowd Control. Take control of the battlefield by drawing enemies to you and protecting your allies.
Greatsword Weapon
- The Greatsword allows for devastating combo attacks paired with high-health pools. With its long reach and earth-shattering area damage, it helps you break through enemy defenses and shake up the battlefield.
Dagger Weapon
- The Dagger fulfills your Assassin class archetype in MMOs. With access to Stealth, you can quickly sneak up on enemies and deliver deadly blows.
Crossbow Weapon
- The Crossbow resembles a Rogue in other MMOs. It enables you to fight in style, with fast movement and a relentless attack pace. You mark enemies to unleash a merciless barrage on a weakened foe, taking them down instantly.
Longbow Weapon
- As your typical Ranger class in MMOs, the Longbow specializes in long-range sniping, immobilizing enemies from a distance, and dealing increased damage from afar. It also has access to healing abilities, making it a great support for allies.
Staff Weapon
- The Mage archetype is represented by the Staff weapon. With it, you can unleash explosive magical attacks that deal significant damage and use area magic to turn the tide of battle.
Wand and Tome Weapon
- The Wand is a hybrid weapon that allows you to heal and buff your allies while also being able to cast Curse magic to weaken and damage enemies. It is the quintessential Healer weapon for Throne and Liberty.
Weapon Skills
Each weapon has 1 Defense Skill, 12 Active Skills, and 7 Passive Skills. But you can only equip up to 12 Active Skills and 8 Passive Skills onto your skill bar. Once you reach level 30, you also have access to Skill Specialization points, which you can use to modify each of your equipped skills.
