Valley of Slaughter is essentially Butcher's Canyon. Not much has changed other than boss mechanics. It's arguably easier than Butcher's Canyon.

Valley of Slaughter Lore

Valley of Slaughter Boss - Turka

Turka is the final boss of Valley of Slaughter.

Attack Pattern

  • The boss has a set attack pattern, but it's not a repeating pattern.
  • The boss will always do 1 Meteor and 1 Frost Mechanic before each Sheep Mechanic.
Sheep
Frost

Description

  1. The boss pulls all players inward.
  2. A voice line occurs: "Die!"

Description

  1. A sheep spawns.
    • Under 40%, 2 sheep will spawn.
  2. Killing the sheep spawns an interactable orb. Interact with the orb with as many players as possible to gain a protection buff to survive the upcoming mechanic.
    • Getting hit by Turka's charge or fire slam will remove the shield from you.

Strategy

  1. Make sure the tank faces the boss away from the team as Turka will do 2 charges and cone AoEs.
  2. After killing the sheep, interact with the orb as fast as possible.
  3. The tank can position the boss so that Turka will keep the sheep with its charge.
  4. After 2 charges, Turka will call down fire.
    • If you're too slow, you might be hit with the AoE.
    • If killing the sheep took a long time, consider waiting for the AoE to finish before interacting.
  5. If the boss is under 40%, either sheep will drop the orb.
    • You eventually have to kill the 2nd sheep, as leaving one alive causes the other to explode shortly after the mechanic finishes.
  6. After seeing this mechanic a couple time, you will get the feel for when this mechanic occurs.

Description

  1. When the boss glows red and gathers energy, you must use a frost skill like Icebound Tomb to debuff the boss.
  2. If you don't debuff the boss, it's subsequent attack will deal a significant amount of damage to all players.

Valley of Slaughter Mini-Bosses

Orc Shadow Elder

An Orc Shadowmancer spawns at certain health intervals to make the mini-boss immune to damage. CC and/or kill the Orc Shadowmancer to remove the immune buff.

The Altar

In lieu of a 2nd mini-boss like other dungeons, your party must complete a mechanic to advance to Turka. At this Altar, there are 3 Orc Shadowmancers. Initially, all three are linked with one another and immune to damage.

  • For you and your team to deal damage, you must CC all three Orc Shadowmancers to interrupt their link. Use skills like Icebound Tomb, Shadow Strike, or Stunning Blow to CC the Orcs.
  • CC the first two Orcs, and silence or stun the third Orc to kill the Orc. Repeat this process until all Orcs are dead.
