Island of Terror Dungeon Guide

Welcome to the Island of Terror. It's essentially a re-skin of Tyrant's Isle, as suggested by the lore. The final boss, Kertaki, reuses many old attack patterns you should be familiar with but with new twists.

Island of Terror Lore

By engraving magic into his own body, Toublek obtained unimaginable power at the cost of his sanity. Meddling with wicked magical experiments to return to this original elvish form, he no longer remembers his past life and is now the merciless tyrant Kertaki. All he craves is more power. It is up to the Star-born to put an end to his bloodthirsty conquest.

Boss - Kertaki

Kertaki is the final boss of this dungeon. His mechanic rotation is set and does not change. Make sure to set up your rat positions before starting the fight. Read the rat mechanic to know what this means.

Attack Pattern

At 90%, he will do the Rat mechanic regardless of his current attack pattern.

1. A voice line occurs: "Shall I turn you into a tasty rat!"

Description

1. Kertaki does an AoE a few seconds after turning your party into rats.
2. Kertaki will go towards the closest rat to try to eat them.
   • You must burrow at the correct timing to bait Kertaki and avoid being eaten.
3. At 40% health and below, Kertaki will be invisible while this mechanic occurs.

Strategy

1. Have all party members spread out at different distances from the boss.
2. The closest player will be the one Kertaki moves to first.
3. After that person baits and burrows, Kertaki will go to the next closest person.
4. Teams should set it up so the boss either moves counterclockwise or clockwise.

Telegraph

1. A voice line occurs: "Try to dodge this!"

Description

1. Just like Tyrant's Isle, 1 geyser starts to bubble.
2. You and your party members must stand on top of one of these bubbling geysers.
3. The geyser erupts, sending you flying into the air to dodge the AoE from Kertaki.
4. At 40% health and lower, a 2nd geyser will start to bubble after finishing the 1st eruption.

Description

1. During the fight, the boss disappears and spawns fog that covers the entire arena.
2. You must clear the fog above all 4 geysers by acquiring the fire debuff from one of Kertaki's attack patterns.

Strategy

1. The debuff lasts 6 seconds, so walk over it at the last second.
2. During the fog mechanic, he will call down fire two times, so you have two attempts at clearing each geyser.
3. 4 party members should be assigned to clear one geyser each.

Description

1. Diamond block indicators require you to roll dodge. Press q and any direction key (wasd).

Island of Terror Mini-Bosses

The mini-bosses you will encounter are carbon copies of Tyrant's Isle mini-bosses.
