Raider PvE Build Guide
Last Updated:June 27, 2025|Changelog
Welcome to the Raider PvE Build Guide! The Raider in Throne and Liberty excels in constant DPS while tanking. Pairing the Bonus Damage stat with Spectrum of Agony and the high amounts of hits from Crossbow allows for consistently high damage output potential. Sword and Shield's Mastery "Roar Amplifier" adds an additional AOE hit for every hit dealt within melee range without needing to taunt the target!
Raider PvE Bonus Damage Build
If your goal is to PvP as a Raider, use our Raider PvP Build Guide as all important PvE content can be done with PvP Gear! PvE Gear is recommended for high tier Challenge Dungeons, however.
Gear Progression
In all of these builds, Cordy's Stormspore Spike Slingers will always increase your total DPS output as a Raider. Bercant's Spineflower Crossbows is a good 2nd choice to maintain high DPS while also helping to manage your Mana.
- There is no "Best Build", Talandre Gear allows for a wide variety of builds leading to different metas depending on your Server.
- Use the builds as a base, and swap different pieces around to fit the stats needed to combat your Server's meta.
- With the introduction of earrings, use the easier to obtain Brilliant Regal Earrings for Endurance builds or Earrings of Forlorn Elegance for Evasion builds.
- Depending on which works best for your Attribute stat distribution, eventually use either Earrings of Glimmering Dew or Gilded Granite Teardrops for Endurance builds, or Earrings of Primal Foresight or Bloodright Earrings for Evasion builds.
Chaos Harbinger Set
- 4 Piece Chaos Harbinger Set gives 100 Critical Hit + 9% Crit Damage.
- Use Monster Bird of the Plains: Solar Stone and Monster Bird of the Plains: Lunar Stone to further increase Weapon Damage by up to 30!
Full Bonus Damage Raider Build
- This build is all about increasing the total damage dealt with each hit.
- Bonus Damage is applied per hit so keeping your crossbow out increases total DPS while sacrificing potential defenses.
Crit Damage Raider Build
- While lowering Bonus Damage, this build increases Critical Damage to maintain decent damage output via Critical Hits.
Archboss / Nebula Bonus Damage Raider Build
Archboss / Nebula Crit Damage Raider Build
No Field Boss Raider Build
- This build allows for PvE in T2 without requiring Field Boss Drops.
- There may be more of a grind for these items because of that.
Fresh Level 55 Raider Build
- Use this build as you finish the Talandre MSQ, and then start to work towards unlocking the recommended T2 Gear.
- This can take anywhere from 1 - 4 weeks depending on lucent income + Guild / Dungeon drops.
Skill Builds, Rotations, and Mastery
Raider has quite a few options to choose from when it comes to skills based on various situations that occur. Here is a Skill Build with common skills, Skill Specializations, and a Level 130 Mastery Tree to use as a base to start off with, if you want to customize your own Skill Builds.
- Mana Exchange is a valid option when Mana is an issue.
- Righteous Fury is a good option for added Skill Damage Boost when going into spin.
- Morale Boost is great when there are mobs to collide for added Cooldown Reduction!
- Recoil Shot is great for added damage in place of Shield Strike without taking aggro of the target.
Rotation
- Mother Nature's Protest
- Make sure this is active first and foremost.
- Righteous Fury
- Only if using the Skill Damage Boost Specialization.
- Counter Barrier
- Selfless Diffusion
- Mortal Mark
- Nimble Leap
- Annihilation Barrage Shot
- Quick Fire
- Recoil Shot

Tips
- Use Strategic Rush on targets that are immune to Collision to increase your Base Damage.
- Use the Skill Specialization Aggro ▼ on Selfless Diffusion whenever taking aggro and you aren't the tank.
- Keep Crossbow out if you're purely DPS'ing and swap to Sword and Shield if you're tanking for the passive Shield Block Chance on Raider.
Taunting Opener
- Mother Nature's Protest
- Make sure this is active first and foremost.
- Stalwart Bastion
- Counter Barrier
- Selfless Diffusion
- Mortal Mark

Tips
- Use Shield Strike directly after Nimble Leap if it's up for slightly more DPS.
- Make sure Selfless Diffusion is active when using Provoking Roar to further increase the Taunt Duration.
- Keep the Sword and Shield out for its passive Shield Block Chance when tanking with Raider.
- Use Chain Hook to regain aggro if somebody steals it.
- Hold block on some attacks to regain Mana if need be.
Weapon Mastery Prioritization
Use this as a framework for the first 130 levels of Weapon Mastery when playing Raider. Ultimately, it's a preference thing, as some players opt for more Defensive Masteries when they're reaching higher levels, while others prefer more Offensive Masteries.
Crossbow
Sword and Shield
Guardians
Guardians are special transformations that add offensive or defensive buffs or attacks to your character for 30 seconds. You'll have a few options for Guardians when it comes to PvP.
- Wild Enchanter Dreadal is a perfect Guardian to use not just for Raider, but for almost everybody in PvE! Use this to increase not just your DPS but your entire party's DPS! There should always be a couple of these guardians in every party!
- Lady Knight Kamarshea - This guardian lowers your cooldown while also giving you a damage shield equal to 50% of your maximum mana. This is the go-to defensive guardian whenever there's a lack of survivability.
Summary
- Raider can utilize Bonus Damage better than almost any other weapon combination due to the ability to output so many hits.
- Cordy's Stormspore Spike Slingers will always increase your total DPS output.
- Bercant's Spineflower Crossbows is a good 2nd choice to maintain high DPS while also helping to manage your Mana.
