Gladiator PvE Build Guide
Last Updated:June 14, 2025|Changelog
Welcome to the Gladiator PvE Build Guide. While Gladiator loses out on Critical Hit Chance by not using a dagger, damage is still relatively high due to having multiple Heavy Attack Chance buffs! Sentinel's Bastion from Spear and Cold Warrior from Greatsword ensure well over 700+ Heavy Attack Chance! Robust Constitution allows for incredible sustain in all facets of the game as an added cherry on top!
Gladiator also has great AoE solutions for open world farming! Spear's Javelin Inferno and Phoenix Barrage can sometimes kill entire packs on their own. Greatsword also adds AoE with Frost Cleaving and the Skill Specialization, AoE Damage from Guillotine Blade.
End Game Gladiator PvE Build
PvE Gear Progression
Hover over the items to see multiple / alternative gear sources! Hovering over the items also show the traits!
- There is no "Best Build", Talandre Gear allows for a wide variety of builds leading to different metas depending on your Server.
- Use the builds as a base, and swap different pieces around to gain the specific stats you desire.
- With the introduction of earrings to the game, use whichever provides you the most Dexterity or Wisdom to increase your overall weapon damage in PvE or to hit additional Stat Breakpoints.
Chaos Harbinger Set
- 4 Piece Chaos Harbinger Set gives 100 Critical Hit + 9% Crit Damage.
- Use Monster Bird of the Plains: Solar Stone and Monster Bird of the Plains: Lunar Stone to further increase Weapon Damage by up to 30!
- Critical Damage Reduction, Attack Speed or Shield Block Penetration Chance
- Attack Speed is self-explanatory and the most obvious choice for PvE.
- The rest of the rune slots in all accessories can be just Red Attack Runes, specifically all Boss Melee Heavy Attack Chance in order to get your Heavy Attack Chance near the softcap.
- You can go for any Rune Synergy that best fits your situation.
Usually, players take runes depending on the stat they need to hit the necessary breakpoints.
T2 Early Transitional Buiild
- This build is used just as a transitional phase to get started with T2/Talandre.
- 2 Pieces of Death Set and Abyss Slayer Set ensure high damage output.
- Abyss Slayer Set items are from 2 Star Dungeons so no milestones needed to unlock.
T2 Full Build
- This build reaches high levels of Critical Hit so Abyss Slayer Set helps to further the Maximum Weapon Damage being used on those Crits!
- The Imperial Seeker Set allows the user to gain even higher Critical Damage!
- The tooltip is wrong, gain a base 15% Critical Damage with 1% extra per stack (up to 10 stacks)
Level 50 T2 Rare Gladiator PvE Build
Post Talandre MSQ Gladiator PvE Build
- Post Talandre MSQ Gladiator PvE Build is enough to start working towards the recommended T2 Epic Builds.
Skill Builds, Rotations, and Mastery
- Gladiator PvE rotates between using buffs to increase the damage of their hard-hitting skills and exploding their Ignite / Burst Stacks with Spear.
Global Cooldown Priority
The highest damaging skills, Guillotine Blade and Death Blow should always be used after buff skills such as Abyssal Cleave and Phoenix Barrage.
- Unyielding Sentinel is important for increased damage during the burst window.
- Use the Skill Specialization Sentinel's Bastion to instantly gain the Heavy Attack Chance buff.
- Phoenix Barrage grants Critical Damage for a few seconds after use, be certain to use before the biggest damaging skills.
- Willbreaker lowers the target's defense which is integral for maximizing damage.
- Stunning Blow puts a "Shock" debuff on bosses. This debuff synergizes well with Gladiator as Cold Warrior grants increased Critical Hit and Heavy Attack Chance against Stunned or Shocked targets.

Weapon Mastery Prioritization
Use this as a framework for the first 130 levels of Weapon Mastery. Ultimately, it's a preference thing, as some players opt for more Defensive Masteries as they're reaching higher levels, while others prefer more Offensive Masteries.
Greatsword
Spear
Guardians
Guardians are special transformations that add offensive or defensive buffs or attacks to your character for 30 seconds.
- Wild Enchanter Dreadal is a perfect Guardian to use and increase not just your DPS but your entire party's DPS! There should always be a couple of these guardians in every party!
Summary
- Gladiator provides high damage due to having multiple Heavy Attack Chance buffs!
- Robust Constitution allows for incredible sustain in all faucets of the game as an added cherry on top.
