Destructive Play League Start Strategy
The Destructive Play League Start Strategy is a low-investment farming method that targets Influenced Maps, Mavens Chisels and occasionally Awakened Support Gems. It's especially effective at league start, when demand for influenced maps is at its highest as players rush to progress their Atlas and unlock Favourite Map Slots.
A common drawback when farming Maven's invitations is the need to run 10 different maps, which can be tedious and inefficient. This strategy avoids that hassle by repeatedly farming Tier 16 Silo Maps. Silo's boss has an extended invulnerability phase, giving you enough time to kill all additional bosses spawned by Destructive Play without triggering the Maven Witness.
It’s currently unclear how Memory Threads interact with the Influence options on the Map Device. If Maven’s Influence can be applied through the device while using Memory Threads, it would significantly reduce the hassle of running 10 different maps for Maven progress.
Set-Up
When setting up to run this strategy, it is recommended that you purchase enough materials to complete a sizable batch of maps. Failing to do this makes selling your drops far more difficult, as you frequently need to interrupt farming to trade for additional supplies.
Map Choice
- Tier 16 Silo Map
- Do not kill Map Boss. Only defeat the extra bosses spawned by Destructive Play. Killing the actual boss completes the map, forcing you to run 9 other Maven-witnessed maps before you can run Silo again under Maven’s Influence.
Map Device
- Kirac Modifier - Increased Quantity of Items Found.
- Influence - Maven's Influence.
Atlas Passive Tree
Gameplay
- Make sure to clear a large portion of the map before reaching the boss arena. Silo's linear layout makes it easy to kill most monsters, which causes Destructive Play to reliably summon all 3 additional bosses.
- Once you engage the Silo boss, deal enough damage to trigger his invulnerability phase. During this time, defeat the extra spawned bosses. Do not kill the main boss. Once the extras are dead, leave the map to avoid completing it and resetting your Maven cycle.
Loot Breakdown
Here are the primary drops to sell with this strategy. If you're having trouble selling your loot, refer to our Currency Exchange Guide for tips on efficient selling.
Bosses killed whilst under Mavens influence have a small chance to drop:
- Maven's Chisel of Avarice
- Maven's Chisel of Divination
- Maven's Chisel of Procurement
- Maven's Chisel of Proliferation
- Maven's Chisel of Scarabs
- Awakened Support Gems
The additional bosses spawned from Destructive Play inherit the full map boss drop table. This gives them a high chance to drop Influenced Maps which is enhanced further by Atlas Passive choices. These can be sold in bulk to other players, or you can save up a lot of them and run them yourself.
- Shaper Maps
- Conqueror Maps
- Synthesis Maps
