Blight League Start Strategy
The Blight League Start Strategy is a low-investment farming method that requires minimal scarabs and Atlas Tree points to begin generating a large number of Blighted Maps and Oils. It's highly flexible and pairs well with many other mechanics. This guide provides both a Standard Blight Atlas Tree and an alternative version that integrates the latest mechanic, Settlers of Kalguur.
Set-Up
When setting up to run this strategy, it is recommended that you purchase enough materials to complete a sizable batch of maps. Failing to do this makes selling your drops far more difficult, as you frequently need to interrupt farming to trade for additional supplies.
Map Choice
- Tier 16 Toxic Sewer Map
- Toxic Sewer is ideal for Blight encounters due to its narrow layout. Since the encounter always spawns at least one lane of blight specific reward chests, running it in a tight map increases the likelihood that multiple reward types overlap within that lane, maximizing your returns.
- Other examples of narrow maps that can maximize loot from Blight include:
- Core Map
- Waste Pool Map
Map Device
- Eldritch Influence - Searing Exarch
- The choice of Eldritch influence is not essential for this strategy, choose the one that best suits your build or personal preference.
- Kirac Modifier - Increased Quantity of Items Found.
Fragments
- No fragments are required for this strategy. However, if you have them available, the following fragments are recommended to boost rewards:
- Cartography Scarab of Escalation
Atlas Passive Tree
Loot Breakdown
Here are the primary drops to sell with this strategy. If you're having trouble selling your loot, refer to our Currency Exchange Guide for tips on efficient selling.
Upgrade all Oils to Crimson Oil and sell the following items in bulk:
- Blighted Maps
- Crimson Oil
- Black Oil
- Opalescent Oil
- Silver Oil
- Golden Oil
If you do not have a Blight Stash Tab, vendor 3:1 to upgrade them.
The limiting factor for extracting loot with Shipping is Thaumaturgic Dust. Make sure you're disenchanting Uniques to stockpile as much as you can.
- Send all Verisium Bars to Riben Fell to receive a shipment of scarabs.
- Take note of the shipping value when you have added all your Verisium Bars, send an equal amount of Thamaturgic Dust to maximize rewards.
- Send all remaining Bars to Nganku to receive many different rewards, specifically Tattoos.
- Do not send any Dust with these shipments.
- Lastly, for Crops, wait until you have 8 million total shipping value. Send all 8 million to Nganku along with 8 million Thaumaturgic Dust to very frequently receive Mirror Shards.
Another massive benefit to adding Settlers to you maps is that you have a chance to encounter the Starfall Crater. Defeat the boss within to have a chance to drop Svalinn, an extremely valuable endgame item.
If you want to enhance the Settlers loot even further, use the following Scarabs:
- 2x Kalguuran Scarab
- Sulphite Scarab
- Kalguuran Scarab of Refinement
FAQ
The best ring annoints for making the encounter easier are:
- Your Chilling Towers freeze enemies for 0.2 seconds while they are affected by chilling beams
- Silver Oil + Opalescent Oil
- Your Meteor Towers create Burning Ground for 3 seconds on Hit
- Indigo Oil + Violet Oil
This node is great to select if you have a weaker build, likely in the early stages of your progression.
If you're tired of Settlers of Kalguur, Blight pairs well with other fast, low-maintenance mechanics that don’t significantly reduce how much time you spend clearing Blights:
- Heist
- Essence
- Alva
- Beyond
- Shrines
