Crafting a Boom Mace for Shockwave Strength Stack Slayer in Path of Exile is easy if you know what to do. Follow this simple step-by-step guide to craft your own. By following the process below you'll be able to make a Weapon resembling the one here. Link to Full Build Guide.
If you aren't familiar with the Crafting Methods below, be sure to check out our resources before you start:
Getting Your Base
- Buy an Item Level 77+ Boom Mace off of trade.
- Use the cheapest Conqueror Exalt to apply an influence (example: Crusader's Exalted Orb).
- Use your Horticrafting Bench to change the Influence for 1000 Primal Crystallised Lifeforce. Do this until your Mace is Shaper or Elder Influence (either works).
Setting up the Awakener Orb
If your Boom Mace is Shaper Influence:
- Use Orbs of Alteration until Socketed Gems are Supported by Level 20 Increased Critical Strikes, (26-29)% increased Critical Strike Chance (Tier 1). This is a 1/111 chance. Use a Regal Orb to make it Rare but make sure it only has 1 Influenced mod still.
- Buy any Elder Weapon with 3% increased Area of Effect per 50 Strength. Make sure it's the only Influenced modifier on it.
If your Boom Mace is Elder Influence:
- Use Orbs of Alteration until 3% increased Area of Effect per 50 Strength. This is a 1/115 chance. Use a Regal Orb to make it Rare but make sure it only has 1 Influenced mod still.
- Buy any Shaper weapon with Socketed Gems are Supported by Level 20 Increased Critical Strikes, (26-29)% increased Critical Strike Chance (Tier 1). Make sure it's the only Influenced modifier on it.
Creating your Double-Influence Base
Use an Awakener's Orb on the donator base (not the Boom Mace), then on the Boom Mace.
You should now have an Elder/Shaper Boom Mace like the one on the left.
Adding Attack Speed
Now that you have created a double-influence Boom Mace, the next step is to add 17% or higher to local increased Attack Speed.
- If your Mace already has a third Suffix from the Awakener's Orb reforge, you need to gamble the 1/3 chance with an Orb of Annulment.
- The same rule applies if you have full Prefixes since you will need to Benchcraft a Prefix multiple times in this craft.
- If you remove either of the Influenced mods at any point you must restart from Step 1 of the craft.
- With at least 1 open Prefix and 1 open Suffix, craft Suffixes Cannot be Changed and use a Harvest Reforge Speed for 150 Vivid Crystallised Lifeforce.
- If you add 17% or higher (50% chance), move to the next step (the Elder Attack Speed mod works as well even if we aren't making use of the "Socketed Gems" part).
- If you fail to hit 17% or higher with the Speed Reforge, try to remove it with an Orb of Annulment. If you fail, you must start from Step 1.
Tip: Optionally, you can use Shrieking Essences of Loathing on your Mace until 3% increased Area of Effect per 50 Strength then start from Step 4 to save time. Keep in mind this is twice as expensive though (1/60 chance).
Wild Bristle Matron
Use a Wild Bristle Matron to craft Suffixes Cannot be Changed on your Mace, then use a Veiled Orb to add a Veiled Prefix.
Finishing the Prefixes
Benchcraft (55-66)% increased Spell Damage then unveil Attacks with this Weapon Penetrate (14-16)% Chaos Resistance from Jun.
The last Prefix is unimportant so feel free to use an Exalted Orb for the last modifier of the Mace (block a flat elemental prefix).
Finishing Up
Go to your Horticrafting station and Enchant your Boom Mace with Quality does not increase Physical Damage 1% increased Critical Strike Chance per 4% Quality for 5000 Primal Crystallised Lifeforce to finish. Your weapon is now complete!
